I know each documenery is going to be slanted one way or another, but these were Paul's friends, those closest to him sharing their thoughts on Paul and the family dynamic so I think we can assume their thoughts are at least true for what they observed/where part of.

His girlfriend say Paul didn't get the same love/attention that Buster did. Buster wanted to be a big lawyer like his dad.. She shared that Maggie doted on Buster more and that Paul felt like the black sheep of the family. He didn't want to be a lawyer.

Already the explanations of the drinking that Maggie and Alex allowed is disturbing. Paul was an alcoholic as a teenager.. no doubt in my mind. What is being shared is so extremely disturbing. :( They have videos of him and the family during some of his drinking.

Then Paul's girlfriend said that Gloria gave Paul what Maggie didn't.. she was Paul's second mother.

Yes, all of these documentaries are slanted and angled. But at the end, all point to AM being guilty! I love the different perspectives. Netflix was phenomenal. Loved the very last 10 seconds of it. Made me laugh. Very clever.

I wonder if these were all shady deals and not exactly on the up and up because no idiot investor would ever set themselves up like this.

I can’t wrap my head around this either. Could be shady but the other investors walked away, maybe just AM’s involvement was shady. Arrogance, can’t take a loss, just stupid? Makes me think of a relative who was going to buy a truck off of ebay for a ridiculous price, we all told him it was a scam, he sent a 5k deposit anyway, of course it was a scam and his money was gone. Some people see what they want or need to. Blows my mind MOO

Many of the deals were pre-market crash in the 2007-08. There was an inflated market and loans for almost any deals that could be made. It was a time where lots of people, in particular fairly clueless/high risk investors, who continued to look for that make a quick buck opportunity. I have no doubt that AM was one. Further, I have no doubt that when he started to pay more than his share it was all structured so that when things turned around he was no longer the minority investor.

IMHO, he started doing the oxy not because he was addicted after surgery---that is one of those sympathy inducing stories that just doesn't make sense. I think he started in 2007-08 as he started to get upside down financially. His stories are always meant to shift blame to someone/something other than him or his family. Even the new land deal story is about major investors who didn't pay so he did and got screwed.

I don't recall him saying that he was sorry to any of the people he hurt. He admits wrongdoing and then distances himself. The only time he seemed to come close is when he described BM being the second person he spoke with to disclose that he had tried to get himself killed.

Loved that he was asked if he was a family annihilator. Indeed, it is the explanation that makes the most sense. The family dynamic with its privilege to never have to face the issues that they created is one that AM crafted and insured. He seemed to always think that he could change the narrative if given enough time. The badges, the blue lights, the lack of being responsible for the guns, the prolific amount of privilege created a scenario where his image/reputation was untouchable (or so he thought).

This all around good guy was enabled by his partners--- I don't know of principles/partners who would saunter into work at 3 in the afternoon and not get push back from their peers. He did this often and it was just thought to be him---who else in the firm kept those hours or had such free reign? Probably no one. Why him? His daddy? His name? His position? He was a big moneymaker who people stopped expecting accountability. Even his explanation of the cashing of his brother's check did not raise alarm bells.

When he was being held accountable by PM and MM because they feared for his health and knew that he would be at great risk when his hero, his dad died, he couldn't let them change his narrative or his view of himself.

It is interesting to me that even MB who seemed so angry would agree to testify for the defense. MB even said he wasn't sure that AM killed them even after all he had done. What is the hold on him? He stole from his brother. What is the hold on the rest of the family?

Because he asked her to lie about time there is probably why she was hesitant or nervous.

MB said he wasn't sure am killed because he is a lawyer and he's not going to say that in court on the witness stand with a court reporter documenting it all. He knows.

Umm…did I hear the prosecutor ask him why he changed clothes? And it was a straight reply….”I was gettin ready to WORK…..I was getting ready to SWEAT….” In the coldest, most chilling tones.
 
Thinking about the accusation that AM made about LE and the prosecutor's office not returning calls or requests to clear up the story...

Does that mean that his lawyers knew of the lie from last year when AM claims he wanted to meet LE/prosecutors?

Hopefully, we will see the receipts on that, either from defense or the state. And, the dates will be particularly interesting, if there were any reach outs.

that’s yet another reason his clothes should have been dirtier if he had not changed, like he said. Taking ANYTHING away from a dog is dirty work. The way his voice is fading as he calls Bubba clearly the dog was not wanting to give the chicken up. He should have had dirt and chicken blood on that pristine white T shirt…
