Hi everyone! FWIW, Just thought I'd chime in on the creek. Like many of us, when he first went missing "he's in the water" was my initial reaction. I looked at maps and videos and every photo I could find of the creek and came to the conclusion that there is no way he could be in the creek. At the time he went missing it was very shallow, with the deepest spots being about knee deep. (as shown in the photo Raymonde posted above.) There was so much debris in the water that his little body could not be washed downstream. The searchers thoroughly checked any of the deeper holes and under all the rocks and fallen branches in the area. If he had fallen into the creek and drowned he would have been found right away, unless somebody moved him.

IMO

Yes , there are places where the creek is only 4 inches deep with a smooth bottom , but there are places where it was hip deep and the bottom is full of huge boulders. We covered that on the old threads which were shut down because they descended into utter insanity.

I do think you are correct he would not get washed downstream very far because of all the logs and debris so it would depend on where he entered the creek , if indeed he went into the creek at all , sounds unlikely at this point but stranger things have happened .

For example in March of this year a 2 year old disappeared from his farm yard , the main concern and focus was on a small creek 1/3 of a mile away , 30,000 man hours were spent searching the area including several professional dive teams in the creek.

After several days the word abduction began to pop up. There were even some murmurs about the parents ..... until 4 days later the boy was found submerged under water caught in small trees and debris

.

There was a case when I was growing up where a tall man drowned in a similar creek when he slipped while fishing. His body was found a week later not ten feet from where he went in; he had been pulled under by the force of the water and snagged between some boulders. So I can believe DeOrr could have escaped fetection.

On the other hand, LE seems to have practically excavated the creek while they were searching, and most bodies do surface after a while. So I'm thinking it's unlikely that he drowned by accident or that the body was disposed of there.

I think both sides of the "creek debate" have valid points. However, I get the impression that LE, SAR and other searchers have no intention of going back and searching the creek any time soon. Whether that's right or wrong, I can't say, but they seem to be focusing on other scenarios. I just keep hoping that they find little DeOrr soon.

Wow. First time I watched this. Answers so many of my questions about the campground and surrounding area. Further confirms my opinion that if little Deorr had wandered off, the places he could have gone and distance he could have covered were limited. JMO, it would not have taken long to find him. MOO

Lots of pictures of the campground and Leadore area, taken in June 2016 (photos posted by East Idaho Cold Cases):

Agreed one hundred per cent.

I'm inclined to think that they have pretty strong information that the creek is not in the picture.

I think they have strong information about what happened, period. I further believe that the evidence that was analyzed months ago and the recent uncovered evidence that is currently being analyzed will paint a large picture of what happened. Unfortunately, I think the one last puzzle piece needed to bring this all together may never be found.

This thread is dedicated to discussing the search only. Off-topic posts have been removed.

I assume all the planned searches are professionals only, not tecruiting the general public?

Has there been any further talks of more searches in the near future professional or volunteer based?

LE aren't really talking about the searches that are going on and they had the area closed to the public. I'm not sure if it is still closed. There are a lot of people that would be willing to go search, but they are not allowed until LE give the OK.

As of now I know of the one search.
So they are not saying if there will be any future searches and no one knows if the areas are closed off?

I'll have to ask my brother if any of his friends have been down in that neck of the woods this spring...

There have been at least 2 (and only a maybe 3) so far that I've read about, with evidence removed by LE during 1 of the searches. It remains to be seen what the "evidence" was and where the case goes from here.

Klein mentioned doing his own search and a "secondary location." LE did a search for three days last month. The campground was re-opened afterwards. Someone went up there at some point earlier this month, took pictures, and posted them:

This is very informative for those of us who are not near the location! Very helpful. Wonder where the secondary location is and if it's been done already.

We're all waiting and watching little DeOrr. You are always in our thoughts.

New updates on the search should be up tonight.
