Just a side note. These are dogs I trust. Very happy to see them there!

Me too. (Btw, thanks for picking up this thread yesterday, sarx.
I took a look back through when I had better access and was very glad to see what teams were running searches. They even heard my whisper into the wind that maybe it would be a good idea to pull media flyovers :) )

On a different note- could someone bring me up to date on the 'fire' diagram up thread? TIA.

Excellent question - I hadn't heard he likes to go fishing. Has that been covered somewhere? Would be interesting if he liked to fish by that old casino. It is apparently a popular spot for fishing.

(fire below is actually next to the water in a dumpster there)

If you are seeing image for fist time, notice the face of a sad clown in the blue/white part (apparently a dirt pit, not water there.)

Have the searched the blue area already?

Would that be just in case they found a body? Or do heliocopters make it harder for the dogs to work (harder to hear their handlers, harder to listen for other clues), or just too distracting for handlers and/or dogs in general? Or ? ?

With the river in such close proximity to the home, have any searches focused on that area? from the map it looks like one turn onto brighton and one turn onto birmingham from the Irwin home and you're at the river. ugh.

So there were TWO fires?

Were they on the same night?

Working from memory, but I believe this is correct.

Fire in dumpster off Armour was around 7:50 pm on Monday night.
Fire in dumpster on NE 37th St. was reported around 2:19 am, Tuesday morning.

All of the above. :)

(And in addition to those reasons, sometimes handlers just don't feel like being on Nancy Grace that night, kwim?)

Sort of O/T but...

what does it mean when a dog circles in place? Is it just them being excited to be working?

the topic of JI going fishing came up when people were inquiring about the old turquoise camper. A local commented on the camper and said that JI used it for fishing trips.

Just thinking, if someone, inside the family, took Lisa away then maybe they moved her later to a place that is familiar...like a favorite fishing area or somewhere very near there.

The only other place that comes to mind might be near her namesake's resting place. (It has been suggested that Baby Lisa was named after DB's mother, who died. There has been no documentation so I don't have a link to qualify that information.)

InDaMiddle said he used it for HUNTING trips, not fishing trips. I remember because she made a joke about camoflauge and deers being able to see that ugly blue camper from a mile away. ;)

Transient/homeless population in the area? Weather that night? Is there heavy drug usage? Ok- off to dig a bit.
Someone (I think maybe it was you, MK?) mentioned the SAR dog excited about what appeared to be firewood (that was on the live feed, correct? when I was asking about scent articles?)
Is there anything in MSM that refers to accelerants?
TIA. Sorry if I am going over what has already been said- trying to catch up.

Something I have heard, since the media blitz yesterday, is that JI was with the kids alone for two hours. Is that fact? If so, where did DB go for those two hours...other than the wine run? The Festival Food is said to be only a five minute trip from the home. So, if DB was out for two hours what did she do and where did she go for the other 1.5 hours and was her brother with her?

OK (Hunting v Fishing) then his favorite hunting spots might be a good place to search.

Yes they have been in the river several times. Very muddy and no visibility though.

If you mean circling before they are given the 'go ahead' to work- then yes, it usually means they are just really excited to get to work. (Or they really have to pee, lol.)

If they're circling while working- then if it's a tracking or trailing dog, it usually means they are trying to keep up with the scent. If they stop and hold an alert, then that means a source of the scent should be found at that location. If it's an air scent dog, then it usually means they're confused, typically by environmental factors. HTH.

I personally don't know if that is the only time it goes out, but it does go out during deer season. It's pretty obvious when it goes down the street!

I hope LE sends someone out to JI's favorite (camper) get-a-way sites.

Transients definitely by the river. It was beautiful out that night, but chilly. So yes it is very possible transients starting the dumpster fire by the river if that is where you were going. Not so much at townhouses, but not impossible.

ETA: I have since learned that it was Hunting not fishing sites.
