Our officers are currently searching for 31-year-old Seth who has been missing since the morning of Saturday 24 February.

He was last seen at his home address in the Clifton Area of York at around 9am. His family and friends have been unable to contact him ever since and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to locate Seth including an ongoing search of the River Ouse in York where a person was seen in the water at 4.30pm on Saturday 24 February.

As part of our enquiries, we are asking for anyone who may have seen Seth, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact us immediately.

He is described as around 6ft 2in tall, of slim build with a tanned complexion. He has brown hair, a moustache and several tattoos including the words ‘Queen Mother’ in Spanish on his left wrist.

Seth was last seen wearing blue pyjama bottoms and a striped top although he may have changed clothes since the last sighting.

If you have seen Seth or have any information that could assist us, please email sophie.law@northyorkshire.police.uk or call 101.

"SETH HAD NO FINANCIAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS"

Juan Carlos Santana, who has been a friend of Seth Martín for "many years," says that "he had no psychological or economic problems. He supported himself well and if he has a bad day he calls you and tells you about it. He's not a person who keeps things to himself." For this reason, he rules out that he was absent of his own volition.''

''The young man from Valleseco is a well-known and loved person on the island, especially in the capital. "He has always been linked to the world of Carnival and is the designer, for example, of the children's murga Los Pitapitos, which this year came out again with one of his designs," he adds.''

José Manuel Bermúdez, mayor of Santa Cruz on Tenerife where Mr Martin is originally from, wrote to the Spanish ambassador to the UK, José Pascual Marco Jiménez.
In his letter the mayor asks the ambassador to take interest in the case and urges him to act “as soon as possible, since each day that passes is crucial” in the search for Mr Martin.

POLICE in the UK have confirmed that a body found last week in a river near to the northern English city of York is that of young Spaniard Seth Jimenez Martin, who went missing on February 24.

That's so sad. Glad he's been located - especially since the focus was on the river from the start. I hope he is returned to his family quickly.
