Here we go on a possible timelime:

Investigators believe the crime took place anywhere between 4 and 7 a.m. A note was scrawled on the living room wall. Police would not say what was scrawled there.

That's very interesting. I wonder if his alibi was confirmed that he left at 5:30. I'm really holding out hope that this man didn't kill his family, although I know that's the most likely scenario. An hour and a half is plenty of time to strangle three people, and since there was apparently no blood(?), he wouldn't have to clean himself up. I hope they release what was on the wall - something separate from the paint?

That is exactly what my husband said when I showed it to him. Regarding what hunters might think, I noticed there were a number of similar videos, so, maybe they don't think much of it.

Yeah, my son actually rolled his eyes at that one. Even if it's only bow season, you should always carry a gun with you. Never know when a bear or cougar is around the corner. I'm not buying that not one person there didn't have a knife. IMO, it sounds like a lame excuse to do what they did.

Great sleuthing, Lindadanette~ I agree with Suzi...no more lurking for you...you are hired!!:clap:

Thanks for calling it in, Medusa~ :thumb: It is a good idea for them to be aware of their idea of "fun". I found it very unnerving.

The film is disturbing under the circumstances, but I wonder how people who hunt perceive it? I know most of us could not relate to killing an animal in such a way, but we are talking about men who are adept at taking a gun, shooting the animal, and then "dressing it out". Any hunters or anyone have a hunter hubby we could get an opinion from here?

Hubby who hunted before we married says it's humane to finish the job quickly with a knife. Not smart to shoot after dark. The video disturbed him as well.

It was already released unless there is another note scrawled on the wall, but I think this is it: "I told you this would happen"

That article was posted on the 5th; before they released what was written on the wall or even established his timeline. They originally reported he was at work, and then recanted that. So yep, that's what was on the wall and we already know that.

I wonder if any of the neighbors heard any words being said during the 3 a.m. yelling or screaming. It's been pretty mild here all week, so I bet some of the neighbors had windows open. With mine open I can hear the neighbors 4 doors down yelling at each other and make out the jist of it pretty good.

Another interesting thing I found on one of the news blogs was a neighbor said there were no broken windows or signs of forced entry visible. If I can find the comment again, I'll link it.

Thanks, Carrington and Wrinkles!

When you map it out, there is no Gold's Gym showing up south. I would assume then the gym is this one:
Gold's Gym
151 Concord Plaza Shopping Ctr
St Louis, MO 63128

It is off Lindbergh Blvd and Hiway 255 where they were searching. It is not too far away from JMM, but a distance from his house.

Sorry to keep quoting you Seriously ;-)

There are actually two Gold's Gyms in South County, the one you found and one on Gravois. I'm betting he was actually at the Gravois one because it is closer to JMM and it has 24 hour access on some days. The Concord Plaza one opens at 5 a.m. Both of them would be within a 10 - 15 minute drive to the Coleman house - which is directly across the JB Bridge. Now what you would consider south, and what we consider south are two different things. The area from the Missouri side of the 255/Jefferson Barracks Bridge, all the way to Hwy 44 & Hwy 270 corridor is considered "South County". St. Louis is a weird place where St. Louis County is divided into North County, South County & West County. There is no East County - that is the City of St. Louis. If you continue South on 55, directionally south there is no Golds Gyms - so you are right about that; and you're also out of St. Louis County in just a few miles down Hwy 55 from the 255 corridor. FWIW JMM is in South County.

At Golds you have to be checked in and out by the receptionist swiping your key card, so we'll know exactly what time he arrived and left. It would be interesting to know how he acted when he was there as well. Did he interact with a trainer? Trainers are usually all over you that early in the morning trying to drum up some business. Did he even work out? I can't fathom killing my entire family, then spending time in the cardio theater or pumping iron.

This is very interesting AND telling, in that from the get go, LE places a possible earlier time of the victim's death. It has been known from the beginning, that the husband left the home at about 5:30, yet investigators said TOD MAY have been as early as 4 a.m..........LE already knows what they're dealing with here. Of course the ME will most likely have by now placed a more exact TOD.

After the husbands display of distress and being taken away by ambulance, it would be interesting to hear what type of interaction Christopher has had with LE since the initial discovery of the bodies. IE..., has he cooperated? Has he lawyered up?

See.........I don't care that the FIRST suspicion will be the husband or SO. Because IF a person had nothing to do with the crime against their loved one, there's absolutely NO reason not to answer LE's questions. IF you're innocent, you'll do ANYTHING to help find who did this.

When something bad happens to your loved one, yes, you may do or say something you'll look back on and tell yourself, 'that was really dumb, what was I thinking?'.......but you do NOT stop talking to LE,.....................unless you have something to hide.

IIRC, it was John Walsh, upon the disappearance of his son Adam, who said when referring to the investigation, he would have stood naked in the street if it would help LE to find his son.

As the special investigation unit has been granted additional time on this case from the norm, I believe they have GOOD leads. They WANT to solve this case.

IMHO, someone is going to be taken into custody VERY soon.

Once I read what the video was about, I couldn't watch it. To hear that they were laughing as they were killing this beautiful creature is chilling.

I know I can't relate to the appeal of hunting, but I think it's one thing to engage in it as sport, and another to get some form of sick pleasure out of killing an innocent animal.

I made myself watch it again. . . to affirm what was niggling at my heart.
ITA with you skymom, it's one thing to kill the wounded animal and another thing entirely to create a "snuff film" out of the experience. That's what is disturbing to me. If Brad was killing, then someone else was filming. Is it the same kind of "recordkeeping" that would require spray-painting a slogan on a wall? I would sure like to know who the camera operator was.

IMO, IF (and that's a big if) this video does involve the Colemans, IMO, it shows a crack in the veneer.

"You all should know though....it hasn't been in the papers yet...but there will be no burial Saturday. I can't say any more....but there will be no burial Saturday."

OK - that is interesting. The autopsies were done, so I wonder what gives? Are they looking for a new suspects DNA on the bodies? Toxicology? Or did someone in the family put the kabosh on the service?

Post by Oilio:

"As someone from Sheri's family up in Chicago, I can tell you that we are not all sitting here suspecting Chris. Yes, as the other poster said, it is true Chris did not call Sheri's family....but I see that as being immature and not knowing what to say. We are all deeply, deeply saddened by this tragedy. It is very tough on a lot of people and our hearts are broken. But we are not posting bad things about Chris or posting assumptions. We trust that the police will find the person(s) responsible for this atrocity. You all should know though....it hasn't been in the papers yet...but there will be no burial Saturday. I can't say any more....but there will be no burial Saturday. And to all of you making assumptions. It's not for us to judge or make accusations. Please leave the police to do their jobs. Thank you."

I was just wondering in light of the fact that hubby's job involved security...has anyone seen/heard evidence of a 'home alarm/security' system (not referring to the cameras) but an actual alarm system for the home?

Did anyone see this:

>>curious11 May 8, 2009 1:16PM CST
I've enjoyed reading these comments that past few days. I am actually a neighbor who been hearing all sorts of lives down the street so I've heard some things. One thing that I do know is that the "killer/invader" entered through the walkout basement window. It looked as though the window was open (not broken/forced entry...it just looked like the screen was torn. Now...here's my question...(which goes along with the theory of the open garage) Why would you leave your downstairs window open overnight, you sleep upstairs 2 flights, all while you are so worried of these death threats??<<

also:
>>The entry through the downstairs window is speculation through the observations and comments made on the day of the murders. This is not confirmed so don't take my word for it...but that is a theory of how the person entered.<<

I haven't.
