And another thing.....since we don't know what all the police took out of the Anthony's house, I will only say I hope they took the vacuum cleaner and bag to check for evidence of the car cleaning.

Let's see.... First off, Cindy claimed she lied to police to get them to come arrest her. Said

"I said whatever I needed to do to get the authorities to come help me," Cindy Anthony said. "I worked on whatever I could to get them out there, so I'm not a liar. I just stretched the truth a little bit.
The car wasn't where it was supposed to be, so I said it was stolen, because I didn't have any reason to come to my house. That doesn't make me a liar or a murderer, and that doesn't make my daughter either, just because she had some mistruths."

Basically said the "smells like a dead body" was a fabrication to get the cops there quicker.

Isn't that chargeable for something right there?

What source is your quote from? I don't remember hearing this.

Also, why would she say, (bolded by me) "That doesn't make me a liar or a murderer, and that doesn't make my daughter either, just because she had some mistruths." I find it odd that she would phrase it that way. :waitasec:

Good point!

They went through the car I believe before the LE ever got there. In one of my earlier posts a few weeks ago I took the 911 calls and enhanced the background audio and KC says something to effect in the background, "You had no right to go through it!" CA even announces to her that LE are here and says, "Are you ready?"
leo - I've been looking for your post ever since! Can you link it here again please!? :)

Cindy quote is from CNN's "Larry King Live" Thursday August 7, 2008.

Don't thank me yet! LOL. I'm having trouble finding a transcript for the Aug 7 show. I did find a transcript for the July 31 show, however:

CINDY ANTHONY: Well, you know, that was less than 24 hours after the shock of my granddaughter not being where she was supposed to be and then finding out that she had been kidnapped by the babysitter.

I didn't know all the facts at that point. I had not had a chance to start putting things together and start looking at what is out there.

KING: All right.

CINDY ANTHONY: So, again, you know, when I called -- made the three 9/11 tapes, I said whatever I needed to do to get the authorities to come help me.

KING: I got you.

CINDY ANTHONY: So did I fabricate a lie at that point?

I worked on whatever I could to get them out there. So, you know, I'm not a liar. I just stretched the truth a little bit. The car wasn't where it was supposed to be so I said it was stolen because I didn't have any other reason to have the authorities come out to my house.

So that doesn't make me a liar or a murderer...

KING: Jose...

CINDY ANTHONY: ...and I don't think that makes my daughter...

KING: All right.

CINDY ANTHONY: ...a murderer, either, just because she has some mistruths.

ETA: added italics where the quote is

ETA #2: Having a delayed reaction here. Need coffee LOL. In this full quote we can see that she definitely meant herself in regards to murderer, because she follows it by saying commenting on Casey as murderer. Not like she said "doesn't make ME a murderer" meaning to say "doesn't make HER a murderer". How utterly bizarre!

Excellent find, Meagain. Thanks for this one. Adding it to my Cindy quote collection, which has reached a size big enough to be published as a Cindy quote encyclopedia!! lol

ETA #3: "The car wasn't where it was supposed to be so I said it was stolen because I didn't have any other reason to have the authorities come out to my house."

Holy *advertiser censored**!!!! Haven't seen or heard 2 year old grandbaby for a month, car smells like decomp, BUT YOU HAVE NO REASON TO HAVE AUTHORITIES COME TO YOUR HOUSE??????? Lord Jesus, help me understand this.

Let's say this all together:

I have not seen my 2 year old grandbaby or heard her voice for a month.

My daughter's car trunk reeks of human decomposition.

I know the smell of human decomposition because I am a licensed registered nurse.

I have no reason for the authorities to come to my house.

IMO, if they all go to the pokey then one is liable to change their story or crack, make a plea deal ......then the truth may come out!

Crazymaking. Really, this woman is a piece of work. Sorry, had to vent this am... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!! aaaaarrgghhhhh.... JMO

Unless there is some clear evidence that George deliberately cleaned up or disposed of obvious and uncontrovertable signs of a homicide, I do not think he can be charged with anything. He seems to know exactly the line he cannot cross. Remember CA and GA can lie to the media, lie to Larry King or say whatever they want in public. These are statements that can be used to impeach them as witnesses at KC's trial, but lying to the media is not a crime. Any charges would have to stem from what they told to LE or said under oath, or come from provable direct actions to destroy evidence with a clear and deliberate intent.

I think Cindy can be nailed for some of the statements she made in court awile back.

Well, I've decided there should be no charges brought up against the squirrels.

An epidemic?
This squirrel must be related to the squirrels that got into Casey's car.

thinking perhaps PETA needs to venture more to FL in regards to the life & reputation of squirrels....who knew they could cause this much problems??? and suicidal at the same time.....who knew!!!!

Obstruction of justice, lying to police -- I see more charges for the As

If KC hadn't been charged with murder yet, why would Cindy say to Larry King that lying doesn't make her or KC a murderer????
That's jumping the gun a bit, because it was still early in the game.
Again, Protesting too much?

Cindy had every reason to call authorities from the very beginning long before she went to pick up Amy. George knew what decomp smells like and he'd already smelled it at the towyard. George was getting Lee over there and doing whatever else while Cindy was washing clothes and claiming to be playing games with trying to get Casey to talk long after LE should have been called in the first place. Caylee was missing and a dead body had been in the vehicle. That's plenty reason to never enter or take the car from impound in the first place and to call LE right then and there. They had already told the worker that they located Casey so they knew she wasn't dead. They knew they hadn't spoken to or even seen Caylee.

I agree -- the As should have contacted LE earlier if they were TRULY worried about the welfare of Caylee and Casey. They saw Casey within the 31 days without Caylee.
