Should Cindy and George be charged? Do They Need An Attorney?

I could hardly believe my eyes, when I learned there was a poll, I had never voted on before now, dealing with an issue that makes my blood boil. I've been gripping about this for months. I've LOTS to say, but find just one little factoid enough to say for starters. After this arrest, I'll unleash all my other "charges" against these people...
George (a 12 year cop vet) recognized the "smell of death" in KC's car. Therefore, (no matter who's death stink it was!!!) the car was a CRIME SCENE. To KNOWINGLY drive off the lot in a CRIME SCENE vehicle is a CRIME in of itself. Nuff said. Read him his rights Dano!:doh:

Not long ago, the wealthy parents of preppy rapist smuggled him out of the country while he was out on bail and supported him royally for years while telling LE they didn't know where their son was. They even visited him in (Switzerland? Sweden?) and took family photos.

After several years, LE finally got ahold of an envelope with his return address sent to another relative who threw it out in the trash. It seems to me LE contacted Interpol and had him picked up in Europe.

I apologize for not having the exact names and facts at hand, but the point of this is that his parents were never charged with obstruction, lying to LE, or anything else. If they weren't charged, I can't imagine how the A's could be charged.

Although...the story I just related did not involve the murder of an

innocent toddler. (Not to imply that rape isn't bad enough!)

I know who you mean, I remember reading about that. I can't believe the parents were never charged! They must have had friends in high politcal places?? They were very well to do weren't they? The A's should be charged but I doubt they will be. I too have wondered what effect this will have on future families of criminals. They will definately be more willing to lie and obstruct, thinking that there will be no consequences for it. jmo

I wonder if they were referring to the fact that the senior A's get a 'grieving grandparents' pass but Lee does not.

Yes, I remember a little bit. Every 3 months or so, Lifetime Movie Network runs this movie. Andrew ? Hmm...wonder who got the million dollars or so for the movie rights. His already rich family, or his victims? Anyone know?
As far as the family never being arrested for their MOST BLATENT CRIME of obstruction and cover-up, my only thought is "money talks". What role did the parents extreme wealth play? But the A's aren't wealthy.
Question: does anyone here know anything about one of CA's brother's being a "millionaire" and if true, is he helping the family/defence AND could THIS be what KC meant when she said to her parents in a jail-house visit regarding the topic of her bail "you had a chance, but you didn't take it"? Something along those lines. TIA!

Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet up in Orlando and lure George out and away from the wicked witch and give him an INTERVENTION!?
Make him see that by breaking "ca laws" and perhaps/hopefully being thrown out of "ca land", that he would be SO much better off. He's still young enough to start over!
Hope my posts don't sound conflicting. I DEMAND the arrest of GA for removing KC's car from the lot, yet, I only wish for him to be given probation or even a really hard slap on the wrist for this crime. (Basically, I just want him called out for it!) I demand his arrest simply because it's the RIGHT thing to do. It was an absurdely wrong choice and he made it and must be held accountable. Could you or I have done the same thing without consequence? I think not.

FANTASY POST (no basis in reality): Imagine if the Anthony family was the picture perfect Family-of-the-Year. GA, CA, KC and Grandaughter Caylee all living blissfully together. Everyone accounted for. No one missing. THEN, through NO FAULT of her own, daughter KC "acciendtly" parks in a tow-away zone. Her car's towed. Nurse Mom and Former LE Dad go to retrieve her car for her. When they recieve it, it reeks of human decomp! LE Dad, Nurse Mom, AND Tow yard Guy (who smelled human death a week earlier) are all puzzled, as each one recognizes the unmistakeable smell of death. So they search the trunk. When no dead human body is found, they simply shrugg their shoulders and move on. Driving the car home as if nothing was wrong. WHAT"S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Without personal gain, it would have never went down this way!

Both Cindy and George tampered with crime scene items. They both said Caseys car smelled like " death." It was a straightforward comment by both parents until they had time to think about what they said to police officials.

FANTASY LAND #2= Suppose that KC is innocent!(it's fantastic I know:crazy but because GA and CA assumed KC guilty of murdering Caylee and stuffing her body in her car trunk for a period of time, GA and CA rush KC's car home from the tow lot and clean it of all traces of any evidence. Later they somehow discover that KC was framed, but because they have destroyed all evidence they have condemned KC to death and any possibility of the true murderer being brought to justice!

Why have they continued to court Casey's favor? They'll never get it. IMO, I, like many others, think she's going to "throw them under the bus" to save her own skin.

It was so much a part of their life it may not have been completely conscious of it or that is what they tell themselves so they can look themselves in the mirror. I would say more Cindy than George because off the top of my head I can rattle off incidents where Cindy has clearly destroyed evidence. But I have to say I haven't looked at George's active participation in the crime, evidence etc. because he appears to be very passive.

Your post is very prolific considering it was the day BEFORE the depos, altho George was not passive...just coached by Cindy.

Other than that, yes I think her parents were very much trying to help her and not thinking about Caylee's soul.

After watching the tapes of the depositions I was thinking, KC shows better sense than either of her parents, difficult as that is for me to accept. Someone has told KC that behaving like a buffon in public is not the way to win friends and infuence people. It woud be wiser to sit quietly and act like a normal human being in a court room, and she has listened to them.

Her parents, (whom most of us would like to feel some sympathy for if they would give us any reason at all to do so,) seem convinced instead that the way to further their cause is to alienate anyone who still feels any slight morsel of empathy for them or their daughter. Act like arrogant, disrepectful fools..that will certainly help make potential jurists, judges and witnesses see their daughter in a favourable light! (I am being sarcastic, in case that gets lost in the translation here)

I wonder if it is that KC actually does have a better lawyer, (makes my mind kind of wobbly just considering that possiblity) or if she herself just caught the clues and figured out how to act in public?

At the very least they should be charged with perjury for their depo performance, but I think obstruction could also be in the works.

This is actually a very legitimate question because their actions, attitudes and disgusting behavior resulted in their depositions being public stonings of their daughter. Serious...the prosecution couldn't have scripted this better if they tried.

It seemed wishy washy...started with Yes they are...ok they were, no they are no longer...I couldn't get a straight answer, listening to them go at it back and forth.
