So, DT has filed a motion to preclude live media coverage of the trial.

Will JSKS do Jodi's bidding?

I highly doubt the murdering psychopath doesn't want the media there!!! She lives to be in front of the camera

You don't mean to say that nine out of 10 days her lawyers dislike [and disagree with] her, surely.

After all, someone authored and filed this motion 'on her behalf', right?

Yep, and I'm hoping Nurmi did it just to piss her off:)

I wouldn't be surprised

So today's the day.

Fingers crossed jss has put on her big girl socks today and sets a September trial.

You know at this point i think I don't really care anymore if she gets lwop or the dp, I just want her to go away and never see her face again. I know what she deserves, either way she will die in prison

Thanks for the link...so informative. Why on earth would she even consider tweeting Mark Eiglarsh?! She must have known who he was. And did he know who she was?? B/c she tweeted something like, "we're allowed to use social media, just not to discuss the trial," which would suggest that he knew she was on the jury?? I just find this whole thing bizarre, and feel really bad for her b/c I'm sure she did not mean to do anything "wrong," it just seems like a mistake that she was not even aware of. But I am piz*** at Mark Eiglarsh, b/c I don't know what his part in this was, but he should not have even allowed her to have contact with him. Again, I don't know the specifics, so just saying from what I saw/heard. Argh. Just wish this whole thing had not happened.

I understand what you mean about the reading part. That is a good point. But in JSS admonition, I thought she made it crystal clear that they were not to read anything about the trial anywhere. How she could have not understood that, I don't know, so maybe we can have hope that that didn't happen. But like you were saying, let's say she's following Mark Eiglarsh, I'm sure he tweeted something about the trial every day to promote DDrew show. So even if it seems harmless, that is obviously reading something about the trial!

Technically, based on this copy, she did not tweet to Mark Eiglarsh. Someone re-tweeted her tweet, which had nothing to do with the trial, to Mark Eiglarsh months later. She responded to the re-tweeter not to Mark Eiglarsh.

Oh it's explained better by MeeBee that she did NOT directly tweet Mark Eiglarsh, BUT I still have a major issue with her being ON Twitter in the first place, also I remember when she joined the State vs Jodi Arias page, and she was all like a 'friend' told her about that page, I don't believe her, I didn't believe her then and I don't believe her now. I think she was reading online. Also remember when a jury member asked Jodi about animal abuse and how all our ears pricked up, sounded to me like someone had been reading online and watching HLN.

I don't think they followed the admonition to the letter, good luck proving it, but I think some of them at least took a 'peek' AT THE VERY LEAST online!!

You are right. We will have to wait and see.

Agreed.

With JSS, one never knows. All I do know is that some peeps may have read articles about the motion to ban live-streaming and confused it with the POSSIBLE live-streaming today.

HLN announced that they will start coverage at 12:00 EDT. We all know JSS hears lots of cases every day prior to the "main event" and it is likely that, IF it is streamed live, we will have to cool our heels for quite a while.

I am thinking it is going to take a year! How do you highlight really short hair?

i go to an AMAZing colorist who wins best of philly every year. he fixed my hair before my wedding which was totally butchered with the wrong highlights (i looked like a striped cat tabby cat). i went to him two days later and he completely made it look perfect. i have been going to him ever since. <modsnip> He's in Bryn Mawr right off the blue route (476) near Villanova

or maybe we could ask JA to color your hair? she seems to be quite the hair coloring expert? :floorlaugh:

I'm so over JA and her lawyers.

It disgusts me to see a convicted felon use the court system in such a way that they are doing. I feel bad for the Arizona tax payers having to work hard to fund this nonsense.

I wonder which Hearing Hairstyle will be added to the collection? So far we have...

The "Tweet Motion" is really a cya motion for the defense. Not completely frivolous. They know CMJA is going to eventually try to file for ineffective assistance, she has made it clear by stating they would not get any witnesses or what have you. They have to get everything on paperwork, much to their chagrin and seeming waste of time, to cover their own behinds.

I don't expect a Court date in September to be set. September is already fully booked in all Courts across the world. (Unless they already had the time blocked off for this, which I doubt they could do without all parties agreeing, and not having other large ongoing cases. Even Juan is still in a long trial, correct?) So, don't feel let down if a September date is not scheduled. MHOO....

Did I read "green tomatoes"? Make fried green tomatoes, those things are the bomb!!!

I agree with you Mrs. G, and I actually had the same thought when that animal abuse question came in! There was also a question from Mr. Foreman that tells me he's at least a little up to speed on what's going on in the media with Jodi. His question was something about Jodi's depression being caused by widespread accusations and media crucifixion. I thought, now how does this person know what people are saying about her in the media if they are not at least catching bits and pieces of the news about her? I think other jurors were more diligent though.

I think at least #17 was not honoring her admonition to a T and she was peeking at Jodi stuff online. I just hope the non sequestration doesn't come back to haunt the judge. I think it should be ok, since anyone can see any jury would have convicted her, and there's no way of knowing how any of this affected the verdict since they all said they were honoring their admonitions. I think this is all good stuff to ask AZLawyer. She does say it's clear from these documents Tara did nothing wrong. But if she liked the State vs. Jodi page early on, before her duty was up, that could be a problem. I am on the page and the day after they were released she wrote on it. So...IDK.

Well, Juan said he is aiming for a Sept. start and that's his hope. So I don't think it's impossible. It's really up to the DT at this point as I think the judge is also hoping to get the show on the road ASAP. I hope they come prepared today...

Did you guys see this motion filed that geevee posted in the other thread? The title is hilarious:

8/25/2011 MEM - Memorandum - Party (001) 8/25/2011
NOTE: TRIAL/ IN SUPPORT OF ALL MOTIONS, OBJECTIONS, EXCEPTIONS, REQUESTS AND OTHER APPLICATIONS AND ISSUES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER

Good Day Fellow Trial Watchers,
So it seems nothing will be live today, but even if it were chances are it would all be behind closed doors in chambers anyway. I am just delighted to be able to see CMJA in stripes clanking to and fro in clips if provided by HLN.
I will be checking in on and off as I will have the boys today until around 3. Looking forward to all the posts and catching up.

RIP Travis

It will doubtless be the cue ball, as we know that her selfless nature is such that she will have shaved her head and donated her torture-murdering tresses by now :floorlaugh::sick::liar:
