Hey seguek9, the last two days have been tense for sure. I'd pop over to the Verdict Watch thread and read a bit, get all worked up, then come here to check out all the great music that everyone has contributed. Music sure does soothe the savage breast!

I agree, Rosemary. I was so bummed when they cancelled Deadwood.

Another all time favorite series was "The Shield". If you haven't seen it, you would love it.

It is interesting how many of the same actors end up on Justified, The Sheild, Deadwood, and Sons of Anarchy.

I can't wait for Breaking Bad to come back.

Good morning womanfish! Another stellar lineup - you should be a DJ!

After doing our Lesley Gore thing yesterday, I thought of this song - and remembered it was the very first parody I ever did, in honor of my beloved dog (I was in junior high and he was my best friend)... so this one's for you Prince (RIP):

Just catching up on last night's posts. Here is one of my favorite acoustic soundtracks. Here's a snippet.

If you haven't seen the movie "Once" about an Irish busker, I highly recommend it.

I found this accidentally on TV in the middle of the night once when I could not sleep. I recorded it, and have watched it probably 50 times.

This song won the Oscar for Best Original Song.

Funny you should say that.....I started "The Shield" last week and am loving it. My best friend badgered me enough so I started watching it. LOL, I have badgered at least 10 people to watch Breaking Bad.....and they all thanked me.

Did you see that interview with Vince Gilligan, it was just recently, where he said "The ending of BB will be victorious." I don't know what to make of that...but basically he was saying he would not leave the fans hanging (sopranos style) it will be very clear.

Victorious for me would be for Jesse P. to live. I am still pissed the show was pushed back until August though.

I post a lot of Hothouse Flowers, they started out as buskers and still do when they can. They're not into the fame, just the music.

When I first saw the movie, I was so infatuated I started looking up the music on the Internet, and I found it had a huge cult following. There are thousands of videos on YouTube with people singing/playing the songs from the movie.

It is quite fascinating to me how that story and music have resonated throughout the world to so many people.

Thanks so much for posting this Chester - that song is beautiful and I seem to remember them singing that at the Oscars, correct? I'll definitely check out the film, it looks like something right up my alley.

Hi Rosemary!!! Hope everything's going well for you and your family...

Mr. Mertz LOVES Breaking Bad and has been wondering when it will return, so thanks for letting me know about the August date. So glad it won't have a Sopranos ending cause if it did there would be a holy RIOT in this house! As much as we loved the Sopranos, we absolutely HATED that ending.
