MCSO conducting "case study" of Arias

"The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is conducting a "case study" into Jodi Arias' seven-year stint in county lockup.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio made mention of the case study to reporters on Thursday during an unrelated press conference, but he would not elaborate.
Arpaio said details would be disclosed once Arias is transferred to state prison, likely in April..."

What I don't understand is the so-called 'privileges' that Miss Jodi is getting in Estrella. I come from a small county and our County Jail is over in another town about 12 miles away. I know for a fact that our County Jail is not a piece of cake. Those who are doing their time or 'in holding', (waiting for when the bus comes take them to State Prisons) HATE the County Jail and would rather be in our State Prisons. The Sheriff Dept runs a very tight ship and the inmates get a total of 2-15 mins visiting with 3 prisoners and their visitors in a small room, glass between them twice a week. They talk on a phone if someone buys them a calling card. If the visitors' are not at the jail at the crack of dawn and sign in, they lose their visit when the inmate. Only so many visitors are allowed each visit. And visiting starts a 8am-11am 2pm-4pm.

Sheriffs, inmates, judge, prosecutor, lawyers will all agree that the inmates would rather be in State Prisons than our County System. They get way more priviliges in State than County. I personally know people in the Sheriff Dept, plus the prosecutor, lawyers and even some inmates. We are a small Community :)

Seems like Estrella WAS easy for Jodi. I don't think she will be doing 'hard time' in Perryville.
Jodi will thrive in Perryville. And that makes me very sad...More privileges in State than County and that is in almost every state.

I couldn't watch more than a minute of the interview with juror 17. Stealth juror pretending to be a victim. Poor me. I'm being attacked. I don't know why everyone hates me when they don't even know me. Please! I remember ALV saying "I don't know why everyone hates Jodi when they don't even know her." What dishonest, attention-seeking drama queens. The ONLY victim here is Travis Alexander.

This stealth juror should never have been on this jury. I just read today that Juan did want her excused way back during jury selection but the Judge denied his request. :gaah:
I would have preferred 12 honest jurors voting for life to one stealth juror hanging the jury.

Considering the number of dishonest participants in this trial I'm stunned that Arias was actually convicted of first-degree murder.

Your list or a general list regarding allergies and Sulfa? Because only 30% of people have an allergic reaction to Sulfa antibiotics. I am one of them. Found out the hard way when my dr. prescribed it for me for a UTI. Broke out in hives all over 3 days after I stopped taking it. The ER doc didn't believe that's what it was. Had allergy testing and it wasn't the aspirin, so it had to have been the Sulfa antibiotic.

Please be careful with any drug you take! 3 years ago Christmas, I took the pill Imitrex for a migraine headache. 20 minutes later I was in
Anaphylactic Shock!! I coded 3 times, stopped breathing, was on full life support for 5 days, I was frozen (my body core temp lowered, trying stop the damage that was happening). I aspirated, was on 17 different meds, a central line was inserted in my neck. Total time spent in the hospital was 16 days!! I was like a stroke victim. My mind was a mess. I was in therapy for 8 months learning how to count, write checks, remembering names of people and items. Only 20% of the people who go into Anaphylactic Shock this severe, survive it. Guess the Good Lord wasn't finished with me yet :) So, please watch out for the meds!! Who knew I was allergic to a simple pill for headache!

I still have mind problems LOL. Like remembering words of what things are, I mark off each day on the calendar, my house is full of sticky notes, reminding me of things. Just look over me on spelling and trying get what I want too say on post. I wasn't always like this.

When I came back from A visit to Illinois I was sick. The doctor I saw at that time knew right away it was MRSA. When put on two antibiotics I had a major reaction to the sulfa drug. It took 3 months for the internal hives to go away and I could swallow normally. I already knew I was allergic to iodine and penicillin. Iodine caused me to got into shock while having an X-ray requiring iodine years ago. What's was puzzling was my BP was sky high and no one could figure out what was wrong after the MRSA. By accident I stumbled on to the fact that foods high in sulfur were the cause. The first doctor and I were just working on that issue when he relocated. Fast forward to the past 5 years and a new doctor. Guess that doctor did not believe me...in fact I know that as a fact the doctor and specialists thought I was making things up. I had written ON WS about 6 months ago, that I had an ear ache for 5 years I was getting sicker and sicker. WS got me though the long painful nights. I saw 3 ENT specialists, plus urgent care doctors and I was told I was making it up. The medical community never could say I wanted meds, as I took such a few already, they just did not look into what meds I was on or what was in the meds. My current doctor of the past 5 years had put me on a Vit D and BP med. I was told there was no sulfur in the meds. I got so bad, i had two teeth removed thinking it was that, I had written down who I wanted things to go to, how my son was to contact WS and have my name delete from the list of members.....I was afraid to sleep. Again by accident, a pharmacy told me to call the state drug center, which is run by a university pharmacy school. I was having the check out a med for me. The young man said he wanted to check out what other meds I was on even if I was on them for years. Guess what? The Vit D had sulfur in the coating of the gel pill, it was in the coloring. The BP med had sulfur in it too! 5 years of being poisoned slowly by a sulfur additive. I go off those two meds and I feel better but a month later I was very sick again. It happened this past thanksgiving when my heart starts to pound and race. Went to ER and was told I was making it up that this was not a ER issue. So I took to searching on the Internet. The BP med was the same or so I thought. It was a different company but no sulfur....however when I researched the BP med, it is known to cause reactions in some people that have been on them for years. I went and saw the dr. And found out that my doctor had increased the dose WITHOUT telling me and for no reason. MY BP was normal and there was no reason to increase it. Of course, I was told I was wrong. I told the doctor to look it up. I would print off a copy of the reports but the doctor does not like paperwork. That is when the statement was made that I shoild go to the original dose. What! I was very mad. I slowly came off the BP my self by reading and researching what other patients had to go through and it has taken 4 months for the racing heart to stop racing.I am lucky as some patients after years are still having a problem. I don't know what it will take for the doctors to believe me when I say I have reactions, serious reactions to meds. And yes, the doctor knew there was sulfur in the meds, admits to knowing that the Vit D and BP med had sulfur. I don't know why the pharmacy did not say anything but I think they and my doctor got into it over my meds. The doctor over ruling the pharmacy? So I take very little in the way of meds, don't trust any medical people always questioning everything they do or want to do. I was not sure if the doctor would believe me when I went in with this sinus infection...however with a swollen face and the way I sounded I was surprised I got an antibiotic. If I had not gotten any antibiotic, I would have gone to urgent care whether I got approval or not. (I am suppose to get approval from the doctor to see urgent care or the ER...I am going to look into whose rule this is, the doctors or insurance). I know here are good medical people in the world, but trying to find them and work with my insurance list is a real pain. At least I feel better as far as the sinus part goes. I have 4 days left on it and the side effects are showing up, which is tendinitis, but I do not have much choice. I am thankful for the two antibiotic drugs I can take.
Have great week. Wonder what news we will discover with the felon!? WS kept me going during this time...everyone here are wonderful people!
PS typing on the iPad is a pain....it changes spelling and and words so sorry if I missed something I should have corrected.

Oh my, CJ ~ that was a terrifying ordeal you went through! You are indeed very lucky to be alive! Thank goodness you recovered and thank you for sharing...who knew just one pill could cause such devastation? Heck, it scared me just reading it!

How can this woman be 33 years old? She married husband one already had 2 children by time he was sent
Sentenced in 2000. She would have been only 18. So even younger when 2 kids were born. I read after trial that she was 59.

Honestly...I do not remember a thing about it! It seems that I lost my memories within a 8week range before and after the shock. The up side to this is that I have never had a headache since!! Not even a twinge of a headache. Go figure... I had a wonderful group of doctors who took care of me and they call me their MIRACLE. They told my family that they didn't know if I would survive this. Fooled them, didn't I?!

The downside is my Dad passed away about 2 weeks before this happened and I do not remember it at all. To me my dad is not dead. Hard too explain it. I know he is gone, my family let me read the obit, I went to his grave. But he's not there in my mind. Weird.

My doctors tell me it's a blessing that I don't remember anything, that I would be horrified if I did. I do have heart damage from coding 3 times, but meds take care of it. I'm happy and blessed. What more could I ask for...

I was keep in a very deep coma for a long time and the drug they used was the 'Michael Jacksons' Drug' propofol. Still can't moon walk!! hahah

Oh Josie, you have been through so much! It just goes to show you that WE know more about our own bodies than any Dr. knows! I can't imagine your Drs. being so disrespectful to you. It makes me realize just how fortunate I am to have such a good PCP, that leaves no stone unturned. Bless you sweet Josie, and I hope you will begin to feel a little better with each passing day. (((HUGS)))

Come to think of it, the last two times I was sick it took two rounds of antibiotics to recover.

I am glad you made it too. It is scary. Different pharmacists said I was being poisoned and that the slow poisons would have killed me if it was not caught. Family and friends, at my request, help me finish sentences or words. This way the conversation can continue and those that don't realize something is wrong don't get uncomfortable not knowing what is wrong. Take care.

PS FJA just made the national CNN news about the release of the secret days! Gosh she is so scary and can slip into whatever personality she wants to so easy....but she does not have split personalities. I have a hard time listening to her and the D Team. thankful for those here that listen and report on all that happens!
Have a great day everyone!
