The judge has to approve any deal regardless, though, does she not? So if they come up with a LWOP deal and she wanted LWP she could sentence to LWP? Or say no, and back they go to the next DP penalty trial?

I honestly do not know the answer to that. Perhaps we should ask on the legal thread.

If the Alexanders are OK with LWOP, so am I with the following conditions :

1) Solitary confinement for at least 5 years
2) Full confession of what really happened on 6/4/08 and a renunciation of all of the trash spewed about Travis
3) Disclosure of where the murder weapons and clothes were dumped
4) No appeals - EVER

Am I asking too much ?

No you are not asking too much.

This wacko lady that killed 3 co-workers at a local univerisity, said that she would accept LWOP and no appeals to avoid the DP. The wacko got LWOP and then immediately filed an appeal. I am not sure of the outcome of the appeal. This wacko is Amy Bishop and she killed 3 people and injured 3 others at the University Of Alabama Huntsville. This all happened in the city where I work. In AL, we have no problem with the DP.

it depends on the sentence from what i have read about arizona, the judge can give her either LWOP - which is natural life and no parole, or judge can give her LWP - where she could have the possibility of parole in 25 years - imo - and idk i am worried that if it goes to this judge she might get LWP - idk, i have been trying to find JSS conviction record to see what kind of sentences she gives but haven't been able to find it

Per AZlawyer on the 'ask a lawyer' thread, there is NO parole currently in Arizona. None. So unless the law changes in AZ, Life with no possibility of release, or Life with no release for 25 years, is essentially the same since right now as there is no release. If sometime in the future the law changes and allows release, only in that case would she be eligible for release, and only in about 2033 (25 years from now minus the 5 already served).

Oh, me too! I had shoulder surgery a few years back. I had something called Adhesive Capsulitis - a.k.a. "Frozen Shoulder Syndrome" that required a "manipulation" - meaning they put you to sleep and the surgeon cranks your arm around and around to loosen up the scar tissue. He then cleaned up the joint by removing all the built up scar tissue. Anyway, I had my surgery an hour away from home. While my hubby was driving me back home - I was laying in the back seat feeling like I was going to vomit - and dang it....I STARTED MY PERIOD and had no feminine products with me! Just when I thought it couldn't get much worse...WE GOT A FLAT TIRE!!! I kid you NOT! It's mid summer - hot and humid as all get out in the Florida Panhandle and here I am laying in the back seat wrapped up in bandages, drolling on myself - ready to vomit at any moment, and bleeding from the hooha. Hubs had to call a tow truck! I wonder what the tow truck driver thought! LOL! Lawd....I was so out of it, but I remember how miserable that whole experience was!!!

OMG! Hope you weren't having a BAD HAIR DAY as well! (I'm sorry to be laughing so hard here. Not at your plight, but how you tell it.!)

I think John Denver said it best:

but this all before the trial

she now has been convicted on 1 murder/she lost when she said no jury will ever convict me & she knows this

and she knows 8 people wanted to send her to DR

She is crazy for wanting to go to a new jury

With all the stuff out there about her
a second jury will mostly likely send to DR

BBM, and that is all you need to know!

I declared George Strait as my boyfriend back in 1985 (of course he did not know it). HE is the one that got me listening to country music. I have been a fan since 1985. I saw him in concert once and it was great. I even had my picture taken with him. I think he is doing a 'Farewell' type of tour now. I would love to see him again but I cannot stand concerts anymore - too many people.

I'll tell him next time I see him. My cousin used to hunt with him. He is very nice and so unaffected by his fame.

Doesn't work; no way to validate the terms, especially (2) and (3).

As for (4), it doesn't prevent courts or elected officials from invalidating, vacating, staying, overturning, pardoning, and other imperious actions.

No, if society is to be protected, the lying torture-murderess must be executed.

Else, we get this:

i'm just curious, what do prisoners sleep in at night? If they are issued a clean uniform everyday and sleep in it too?

Just a guess, but since men sleep in their underwear, I would think women do the same. I know women get short sleeve tee shirt in the summer and long sleeve in the winter in some jails. I also believe they get clean uniforms only on shower days.

I wonder when the other jurors are going to talk

Has anyone seen if dateline or 20/20 has a show coming on

What happened to juror #5? Didn't she say that she would talk after the trial?

Actually here in Calif, of which I am a native, lived in So. Cal and Nor. Cal my whole life, Chicano/a is more outdated than Hispanic... Haven't heard Chicano used since college in the '80's.
Also, they'll usually be quick to tell you if they're from some other Spanish-speaking country such as Argentina, Brazil, or Equador, so in Calif, it's usually Mexican, then Hispanic, then Latina in order of use.

Yes, exactly. I'm in SoCal too. Haven't heard Chicano since the 70s. We don't use "Mexican" to refer to a native Spanish speaker because of our huge population from all Central & South American countries. The police will generally use the term "Hispanic" when giving descriptions of people to the media, and South American's generally don't object. More often though I'll just hear 'Spanish speaker'.

While the poster who is of Mexican descent says she doesn't mind in the least being called that, I know of many Hondurans, Nicaraguans, Dominicans, Costa Ricans, and so forth who do mind, quite a lot.

Yo, be careful and safe all my friends in the storms.....I'm checking out the scanner thread..."been listening to okla city etc....scarey shizz.

June. It was an early June day. A tornado touched down along the Delaware River towns. We lost a lot of tree tops and the sounds was frightening. The sky was red and it did sound like a train was heading for the house. I was scared. I ran aroUnd screaming for my cat. Grabbed her and rand down the basement under a jinnormous steelcase desk.

Stay safe.

I don't know what happened to her

someone found out what she said

So I am not sure if that has anything to do with her not talking yet
