Thanks LG, but from what I understand, he sold many more e-books than hardcover, so that's going to skew what appears to be low sales.

I'd really love to see the total number of both hardcover and e-books if someone knows how to locate that information.

So what would be your best guess? The average author take on an e-book or a kindle was quoted as being about $.60..yes, cents with hard cover 10% of what the book cost..s.

Do you think he has sold three, four, five times as many? :waitasec:

Can you supply the link for the B&N site you're referring to, please? I'd like to bookmark it and periodically check it simply for the sheer pleasure of watching it fall. :)

Remember today's song is "blowing in the wind" although we had fun with LG's Lay Lady Lay song yesterday! And yep, some us were not  back in those days. :gasp: did I just say Us?

Anyhow, doing my part to now put out the pdf of the DFCS conclusion whenever the opporunity arises so that others can see that the legal folks did indeed state that Casey was IRresponsible etc. Thanks for sharing that link for all of us inclined can share..it does not bash ANYONE of the players other than FCA and that is good

on novelrank.com, to fine JB's KINDLE number of books sold:

http://www.novelrank.com/track.php

at the top was a link to Track Books

when I clicked on that I got to the screen in the link above

in the bar "Search the Books Already Tracked on NovelRank"

I typed on "Jose Baez"

Presumed Guilty: Casey Anthony: The Inside Story (Hardcover)
Author(s): jose baez, Peter Golenbock
Publisher: BenBella Books
Presumed Guilty: Casey Anthony: The Inside Story (Kindle Edition)
Author(s): Peter Golenbock, jose baez
Publisher: BenBella Books

I got these two to come up, so you need to click on the link to the (Kindle Edition)

That takes you to the main screen on NovelRank for that KINDLE EDITION and you can then do the searches for the number of books in the chart below.

So go to this link to start the "Jose Baez" search and then click on the KINDLE EDITION link.

http://www.novelrank.com/track.php

you can pick Books Sold for Last 3 Months to see total Kindle E-Books on Amazon. MOO.

so I think I see:

271 E-books sold past 3 months .com (all of July 2012)
2 .UK

_____

total 273 ebooks? that can't be right? can it? so few?????

to be sure you are viewing correct book (kindle e-book versus hardcover) when you then click on the link for the title of the book in this screen on NovelRank, it takes me back to the Amazon.com link for the Kindle Edition versus the Hardback, so that seems to be right to me, but that is hardly ANY e-books, ? pathetic e-book sales, if I got the correct numbers, but:

but someone else please do this to get the #'s as I am very tired to be sure my numbers are correct, , just got back from a looooong picnic day with my 5-yr old granddaughter, she stayed overnight and I think I slept for 3 hours, I sleep very lightly when she stays, always checking to be sure she is covered and breathing LOL, and I am almost delirious with tiredness!!

So according to the B&N site, Baez has sold 901 hardcover books world-wide.

I can't seem to find the Kindle link so far, but still searching.

While fact-checking today the claim by JB that Gale St. John ran into Roy Kronk on August 11, 2008 while they were both in the woods, I came across the full video shot by that team that day. I had only ever seen the condensed (five or six minute) version before, and even though I didn't want to spend 20 minutes watching the video, I did it for Caylee, a sweet little girl who was taken from this earth far too young...a little girl who deserves to have the truth be known.

To quickly debunk JB's claim that Gale St. John searched the exact area where Caylee was found, is almost too easy. If you go to 2:09 of the video, you can see that they parked the van by the light post by the curve in the road. That is too far down Suburban to be considered the exact area where Caylee was located. "Colleen" then proceeds with the dog in the direction of the school.

Now to the claim that Gale St. John was there on August 11, 2008. This is also quickly disproved in the video at the 6:31 mark when "Colleen" says she can't go into the woods because of the water there ("It's right full."). Orlando had been in drought conditions until Tropical Storm Fay came through at the end of August of 2008, so there is no way this video was shot on August 11th.

The last thing I'd like to say is that, if you watch the entire video, you will see them go into the woods, up the path behind the school. This scene gives you the best view of what the woods around there look like. Considering how dense these woods are, and how very tiny Caylee was (especially after decomposition) it's truly miraculous that this little angel was found at all.

R.I.P. sweet baby girl. Know that there are many of us out here who love you more than your mother did, and we will fight for the truth for you for all of our days.

(The full 20 minute video can be viewed here.)

I also did it and got the same # you did - 273 total Kindle.

Then I did the hardcover book and got 753 total for July. There are also 148 listed for June but I'm suspicious of that since the book didn't come out until the first week in July.

It is also available as a download on ITunes. Don't know if we can track that # or not.

I did find the e-book link and yes, you are correct that it shows only 273 total e-books sold.

Wow, someone, I forgot who or even which site, but someone was touting his e-book as accounting for the majority of his "NY Best Seller" sales.

I guess not. :floorlaugh:

So how did he make the NTBSL if he's only sold 901 hardcover and 273 e-books?!?

Anyone? :waitasec:

My Pleasure! I just pulled it up again and this was the link it displayed:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/presumed-guilty-jose-baez/1110907299?ean=9781937856380

If for some reason that doesn't get you there - I went to BarnesandNoble.com and then to books, then typed in baez presumed guilty - double clicked on his book when it came up, and when I was on "his" page, scrolled down 3/4 of the page and Bingo.....

Enjoy!!:woohoo:

Despite MILLIONS in free advertising from all these talk shows he has been on- those are his DISMAL sales. I wonder how often that happens - some
one gets on The View and those type of shows and sells hardly any books?
Don't forget that in that total sales are all the books they gave away to the studio audience ...:floorlaugh:

This was just mentioned about Rielle Hunter's book. She sold only 6000 copies total and also cracked the NYTBSL. Now it's a bomb.

eta: Hunter reportedly got a small advance from boutique publisher BenBella Books because larger publishers feared women would not buy it.

Thanks to NavySubMom - I have your kindle answer at least? The grand total he has sold in kindle at Amazon.com is 271 :what: That was for July - June says N/A

Amazon.uk show that 2 were sold in July and June - N/A....So that grand total world wide for kindle sales is 273

So...unless he has sold a ton of e-books, he's sold a quarter kindle than he has in hard cover - okay almost 1/3....:what:

First of all he is in non fiction category with such literary works as "sister wives" and rielle hunter.. They were also on the list. This last list he was not in the top 10 on the list.

The weeks his book initially came out he may have sold enough to make the list..once or twice. The true measure is when the sales are sustained and the book stays on the list for many weeks.

Barbara walters may have also bought a chunk of books for her audience.. I could see how he could barely make the list once or twice...
I cant see him making it after that...So try not to be too impressed .

The book is floundering! :woohoo:

Well then, I suppose the missing link here is, "what constitutes a Best Seller"?

Baez is a shining example that it certainly isn't based on number of books sold, so what are the requirements to make the NYBSL?

Thanks- you just answered my question. Another book that got flushed down the toilet as soon as it appeared. She also had lots of free advertising.
These talk shows obviously do not know what their audience is interested in- there are lots of deserving authors out there in need of a nudge in sales - pity they don't have a few on and leave these slimy characters alone.

Believe me when I say that nothing, and I do mean nothing about Baez impresses me!

Not even his fakey-hankies. ;)

I think we need to ask an author or publisher.

eta: I posted the question on Diane Fanning's FB page. I'll keep checking to see if she posts a response.
