well - we're off to a good start to our first snowpocalypse 2012 - about 4 inches down in 5 hours with the "worst" yet to come. On the plus side - I'll be able to cool my chicken stock down outside and give mr. fridge some breathing room.

If you clicked on a link containing a virus, it would slow down all the sites you visited, not just this one. This is the only site I'm having issues with. The WS server is probably just slow for some reason.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one having issues with WS. I really thought there was something wrong with my computer.

I worked for a lovely woman who was "born again". I have no issues with what anyone wants to believe but don't necessarily want to be recruited, especially at work.

...ChicagoWorld (that's my little joke - local media from time immemorial have referred the the greater area as Chicagoland ) That's why I had to go provisioning this morning - we were expecting it and heck it's been in the 50s this January about 10 times - it's going to play heck with evening commute, but should end by midnight. If it keeps up at this pace I figure we'll get every bit or more of the 8 total inches predicted. So 'Im surfing and making food and stuff.

One of Casey Anthony's attorneys, Cheney Mason, confirmed on national television that her lead attorney, Jose Baez, is no longer Casey's attorney.

After weeks of speculation, Mason said on "In Session" Thursday night that Baez hasn't been representing Casey for months.

But when WFTV checked the clerk of courts website, Baez had not filed a notice that he's no longer representing her.

Mason said he and Lisabeth Fryer are representing Casey in her appeal and her probation.

The one and ONLY time I was in Chicago -- oh back in '07 I think -- it was minus 14.....We walked outside at the airport and I literally could not get my breath. We got into a cab.....went just a little ways and the car was smoking really bad....I looked at my daughter and was like "WTH?"....the cabbie stopped - kind of shouted in some foreign language and said "you have to get out...my car is on fire".....um we got out, dragged our luggage BACK to the taxi stand at the airport in MINUS FOURTEEN DEGREE WEATHER..... and caught another cab.
I have not been back to Chicago.....:floorlaugh:

ETA: I was on a flight recently and could have sworn RAHM EMMANUEL was sitting beside me...but I quicky concluded that he would be in first class...not with the peons like me!

If FCA fired Baez is he still required to file something for the record? Was wondering if that may be the reason why nothing is showing up? Anyone?

He should file a notice of withdrawal if he TRULY is out....

He doesn't have to file anything. Once the case is over at the trial court level, he is "free" unless he files something new. But the only new thing filed, I think, was the motion to hold JA in contempt, and Mason filed that one IIRC.

There is shelter and there is enablement IMO.

Given KC's downfall and that her problems were primarily associated with social networking and access to the Internet then it should not be allowed until she has completed a rehab program successfuly (for once) -- and understands the difference between reality and responsibilities and virtuality and distractions (playtime).

This is especially true if Caylee's death was accidental and due to the distractions of social networking. Don't buy it personally but maybe the church does.

KC is back to her old world and old tricks and ways so ... shelter is one thing, integration into society as an adult is another.

Someone needs to stop enabling a childlike monster and nurture some maturity and responsibility instead. Time to grow up!
