He doesn't have to file anything. Once the case is over at the trial court level, he is "free" unless he files something new. But the only new thing filed, I think, was the motion to hold JA in contempt, and Mason filed that one IIRC.

Thanks AZ. I just know in our court we get notice of withdrawals all the time because those attorneys want OUT and they don't want to continue to be served with crapola. KWIM?

ETA: And as far as I know, while there is an appeal pending...the case can't be closed. Or that's how it is handled here at the fed level.

Link to the Rules here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=159

Our policy for social media sites can be summed up as: it's ok to link to a Twitter or FB of a MSM reporter or site, a victim, or a POI/named suspect in a case. Others are off-limits unless an admin says differently.

Sleuth well and post wisely, my peeps. Remember, that "Alert" button is there for you. And as always, if you have a question, PM the forum mods.

:bump: Just bumping to forestall another Defcon Orange Alert. :o

I joined Twitter the other day....I really don't know what I'm doing on it. I did have the thought that I wish WS had a twitter where we could all tweet back and forth!!! If that is how it works. I just follow, don't tweet so far.

I'll follow you if you follow me! :seeya:

Please don't get us locked out of here, we have nowhere else to go and I love the sidebar.

...ChicagoWorld (that's my little joke - local media from time immemorial have referred the the greater area as Chicagoland ) That's why I had to go provisioning this morning - we were expecting it and heck it's been in the 50s this January about 10 times - it's going to play heck with evening commute, but should end by midnight. If it keeps up at this pace I figure we'll get every bit or more of the 8 total inches predicted. So 'Im surfing and making food and stuff.

lol - right here with you. Just went out to shovel the walks, came back in and read a few posts, then looked out the window and I can't even see where I shoveled. Footprints are being erased as fast as we make them. It's too cold for salt to work so I am just gonna make some hot chocolate and chill, or rather, warm up. I pity my little dog going outside tonight. She'll be a puppy popsicle.

The case isn't "closed", but the trial attorney is no longer "on the hook" after the appeal filing deadline passes.

But you might withdraw formally for other reasons, including, as you mention, to get off the copy list if some unusual activity is ongoing (e.g., a motion to hold the prosecutor in contempt for revealing sealed information)--or to announce to the media that you are OFF THE TEAM lol. ;)

I just posted that in the daily news thread and the TES thread, was coming over to see if anyone else saw it, I guess we should talk about it in the TES thread??

Oops thanks for the reminder. Newbie here and i forget sometimes.

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not from Click Orlando

Casey Anthony answers Texas EquuSearch's questions
Anthony breaks silence in EquuSearch case

But Anthony denied that she was aware EquuSearch was conducting searches for Caylee in September and October 2008.

Isn't lieing under oath a violation of your probation? Geez, I can't stand her!!

I'm sure there's some hair splitting to be had - he was looking for Caliegh not Caylee or some other nonesense. Let's watch and find out!!!

(given the questions - she had to answer as she did - but there might be a tiny little hook in this)

There is shelter and there is enablement IMO.

Given KC's downfall and that her problems were primarily associated with social networking and access to the Internet then it should not be allowed until she has completed a rehab program successfuly (for once) -- and understands the difference between reality and responsibilities and virtuality and distractions (playtime).

This is especially true if Caylee's death was accidental and due to the distractions of social networking. Don't buy it personally but maybe the church does.

KC is back to her old world and old tricks and ways so ... shelter is one thing, integration into society as an adult is another.

Someone needs to stop enabling a childlike monster and nurture some maturity and responsibility instead. Time to grow up!

Amen to that!

This is exactly why I would like to see Florida DOC take seriously the task of probation for this felon. The requirements that a probationer have a job or be attending school, be in therapy if they need it or drug rehab if they need that, etc., are things that Casey Anthony needs! If she is not required to do anything positive for herself while on probation how can anyone expect her to to anything positive with her life once she is off probation? The courts, if they let Casey slide on probation requirements on top of the other considerations she has received due to her specialness, are just as much enabling her to stay the way she is as her DT and this so-called church pastor.

I wish the Florida powers that be would wake up and smell the coffee.

Sorry if this has already been answered on another thread, but has anyone linked the sunshine painted on the exterior wall behind KC in her diary recordings, to either the church or Lyons' home or office?
