The few court cases I have been able to watch, there were no minor children that needed any special consideration. (I pray I am working this correctly!)
I have a question to those of you who have perhaps followed a major trial with a parent as the defendant and minor children to consider.
This, as I read along and understand, seems like it is going to be a pretty long trial, not to mention holidays, days jurors might need off, I can only imagine that.
The girls are old enough to know their dad is in a great deal of trouble and on trial for killing their mother, while they may not understand the process, not to mention him trying to manipulate their thoughts and beliefs like the monster he is...has to have taken a toll on them also.
The family caring for them I assume will be in court. How will their schooling be handled? I can't imagine a child having to attend public school with all this in their minds. Perhaps a tutor or something of that nature? I feel so bad for these girls!
I am thinking the trial will take a great deal of time because it's taking forever to get started and seems alot of information being passed around, a bunch of stuff.
I think how long the Jodi Arias trial ran and think these poor girls! Any thoughts from anyone on how they feel this will be handled?
As we inch closer, any new guesses when trial will start?
Thanks in advance for any responses!

Lol.

I am glad that Patrick is making sure everything is covered.

Because imo. Mark is probably more focused on the money trail than anything else.

So hopefully Pats lawyers can help him checkmate Mark on any estate matters.

Jmo.

Because imo. I don't want Mark to be entitled to not 1 honeybun from the insurance money while he does life in jail. Jmo

What he said! Not a honeybun, Twinkie, slim jim or anything else for that greedy oaf!
He has torn too many people apart.

I was hoping by now TS's mom would have been able to take the kids & move back up North, away from what is to become a local circus. Also with some recent activity at their once home on Jarvis, everything brings up negative memories. I feel the bank will write Jarvis off at some given time, then it will be demoed---also good for them to not be there. We shall see.

Don't hate me when I say this but I think it would be hard for the girls to move right now. They need to come to terms with what is going on now and the future and just need to be kids.

Has MS ever been assigned a death penalty lawyer yet? Please not JB....oh please not him.

Thanks NIN. JB is busy currently with Hernandez mess....but, there is always a but....

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I am going to look into this new doc release today. Contacting the SAO directly. Depending upon my conversation, I will let you guys know if we need to re-open donations. Whether we purchase some of these or if more are expected to be forthcoming soon.

Also, if anyone can update on today's Status Conference with Mark & Jimmy, much appreciated. I hoped to be able to see if it was live streamed (doubt it) but I'm in one of the storm areas and was without power until just a few minutes ago.

One more thing - be sure and check out my post in the Mark Sievers thread. Appears he has gotten himself into some trouble at jail.

I'm going to move some posts over and start a thread on him. This Sidebar is way too long and I will need to open a new one soon. These posts will get buried.

Just a heads up, Patrick's case is moving along....A lot of documents uploaded on that case on the court website

Hi NIN! When I finally get a break from work, Websleuths is my "go to" reading. I am always impressed by the research and insight provided by fellow SLEUTHS! (And I miss you all...) Anyway, has anybody offered an account of HOW MANY BURNER PHONES WERE USED?
Am trying to do the math....and either the reporter on this story "misreported" or TAYSHO "misinformed" or AW has had another "memory lapse."
1) AW said "CWW forgot his phone"
2) Shomaker thought Rodgers was traveling with Wright to Florida to commit burglaries and steal high-end antiques, she told investigators on Aug. 25, 2015, according to court documents. "She kissed Rodgers on the cheek before he left, then noticed he left his cell phone, which she thought was odd, according to court documents."

3) JRR's employer asked him to work on Monday, [[[Conway recalls that he had asked Jimmy Rodgers to work on Monday, June 29. But Rodgers texted him back and said he wasn’t available.

“All it said was, “I can’t do that. I’m still in Florida,” said Conway.]]]

What phone did JRR use to text his employer??? Even more interesting question, is HOW did JRR get the message his employer needed him if he forgot his phone?? Was TaySho anwering his phone or was JRR accessing his messages from the burner phone? If the text came from JRR's phone, stating "I can't do that. I'm still in Florida."...Uh oh TaySho!.... A really smart (or scared) gf would, no doubt, quickly tell police everything she knew, be forth coming about other evidence and its location when the police showed up asking questions.

Hopefully my point was not too confusing. So I'll try to state it this way.
1) AW told police CWW forgot his phone.
2) TaySho tells police JRR forgot his phone.
3) JRR's employer said he received a text from JRR saying he was "STILL IN FLORIDA" and unable to work on Monday!
A couple of things strike me as both odd and curious. Apparently JRR had no problem telling his employer he was violating his probation by leaving the state. And, if the text came from JRR's phone....WHO THE HECK SENT IT???

Hi IQ! So glad to see your posts again. IMO I dont think Rogers ever had a burner phone. I think he had his own cell phone with him the entire time. In fact didnt he try to destroy his cell phone later when he returned to MO. When did TaySho tell LE JR forgot his phone? While being taped and intervieed at the station?

IQ debbiegarcia

I remember CWW used Jimmy's phone at some point to get in touch with Angie, though don't recall TaySho saying JR left his at home. I wondered if the reporter confused that with Angie saying the same about CWW leaving his behind. So ... off to the land of Batch 4 to watch TaySho's interview again.

Det Donald asks if Jimmy had a cell 'phone with him, Taylor says yes, a cheap $20 buy from Walmart. When asked if she remembers the number JR used at the time, she rhymes it off, then confirms it's the current number he still uses. She also confirms JR calls and texts her whilst away, to say he loves her. Still infuriates me.
Det Donald goes on "he just switched the number from 'phone to 'phone?", she replies, yes.
(Sounds like JR's brother picked up the tab, as Taylor says JR's 'phone is under his brother's plan.)

Jimmy either had a good 'phone and a cheap 'phone. Or he bought the cheap one as a burner - but used his own number.
Either way, she knew he had two 'phones, and that explains how his boss could contact him.. Phone conversation starts @ 6.55.

ETA: So sorry folks, the link only takes you to Batch 4, scroll down to Shomaker.mp4 video. I need to learn!

Hiya DebGarcia!!! I was as surprised, in fact SUPER surprised when I read this article (see link)

The article specifically mentions TaySho stating he LEFT HIS CELL PHONE!!
So, how did JRR retrieve/get the message from his employer? Was he accessing his voice mail from
a burner phone, while in Florida? Was TaySho in possession of JRR's phone the whole time he was in Florida, taking his calls and helping to cover his tracks? And yes, we have heard JRR destroyed "a phone" he had in his possession....but he might ALSO have had a burner phone, too.
I guess it is my inquisitive/suspicious mind that is asking, "If a man is serious about leaving his phone behind and not wanting the woman in his life to be involved in his nefarious activities, wouldn't he just put it ON SILENT MODE and hide it in the sock drawer????"
Hmmm, or maybe JRR had a personal cell phone and one provided by his company that was GPS tracking enabled? (Geez, ....I just researched all the different ways parents, spouses, employers ETC
can legally track your whereabouts!) I'd even venture a guess SuperTechNerd CWW told JRR what phone to destroy if LE starting asking questions. Every time I start to feel a little sympathetic towards TaySho and her bf....I remind myself they were both willing to accept money for criminal activity....just awful!
