Solving the Long Island serial killer case

I finally got a chance to listen to this. Great timeline.
The key to this case in my opinion is seeing a more detailed connection between the victims.
If you go with the single killer connection how does this killer get the victims besides that they are all sex workers. Is he the John or is he a pimp or a does he have police connection.
My thoughts are he is a rich John who attends sex parties. I believe Shannon Gilbert is key to finding this guy. She says they are going to kill me. The driver also tells a neighbor she is going to be in trouble for contacting the police.
She was in the house for 2 to 3 hrs. Guy says he did not have sex with her so he could just like to watch . I believe there were more wealthy men at his house you pay someone 1500 you expect a lot. So if he passed polygraph he may not be the killer but the killer may have been at his house when it was known she called police he chased after her killing her in the swamp because he was afraid he would be identified. He probably works in NY because the killer called the sister of one of the victims from there.
The driver is from Queens. On one show the friend of one victims said she was in brothel in Queens.
Sex traffickers will keep women locked on brothels forcing them to service John's feeding them drugs and will transport these girls to parties for rich clients.
I think they should find out if driver is connected to any brothels in Queens or if any of the victims pimps are connected to sex traffickers in Queens.
The killer may frequent multiple sex parties and brothels but only kills when he can not control his urge.
Neighbors of Shannon's last John said he had multiple parties at his home since his wife left.
I believe the police did not investigate the neighborhood and should have searched the property of her last John to see what horrors he had in his house.
A prostitute does not call the cops ever knowing the consequences. She experienced something so disturbing in that man's house that she felt the need to screaming for her life .
It seems she would have gone to get in her driver's car but did not. Was he in the house at some point?

With all the publicity the killing seems to have stopped.
This is good news but the killer has not been caught.
These women are someone's daughter some of them are mother's. Some are sisters.
They need justice.
Also I would see if any of their dates uploaded any of these girls activities on the internet. If so they Killer would be able to relieve his date with them over and over through internet *advertiser censored*.
It is a very complex case with little DNA evidence that is to the police not searching for Shannon properly.

I know this sounds maybe not in the right direction but, if there were two serial killers you think maybe by off chance they are related or know each other very well, but have two completely different M.O.'s that's why some were killed in a different fashion, or it's just one and he changed up to throw off the investigators'.

Also a person with Anti-social personality disorder can pass a lie detector with flying color's and I do believe LISK has this because most if not all serial killers have this disorder, just look it up in the DSM-V of mental health disorders.

My thought was this, the woman and toddler possibly a mistress and the father of the baby killed her?and dumped her? Possibly, the owner of the landscaping business? The trans was possibly killed by brewer. Because he stated with The S incident he did not want to have sex with a man.this was before trans was found. Maybe there happens to be 3 killers the above mentioned did not realize there was a dumping ground there? And the question that I have is was the toddler killed or just left there with the mother? I know most children this age would not leave their parent or at least go far. Could the mother be reported missing but, family does not know about the toddler?

So I used to be a sex worker and being in this type of industry takes you down some really dark and disturbing roads. While I myself was an independent escort I was part of the generation of Craigslist ads. These men that answered almost always are sketchy. I've seen it all and even had a few encounters that have scarred me for life. All this being said this case baffles me for multiple reasons. Let's say they all or some had pimps. They almost always are making sure their women are safe so where were their security? Especially on outcall basis you are entering unfamiliar territory. You have no clue what this person has in store where as an incall YOU have more control. A safety system should always be the first line of defense. I had multiple ones. Someone always near by, phone preprogrammed to 911 (you cannot be charged with prostitution and or soliciting if you are in danger) and lastly notifying when my John enters and leaves. From my understanding these were seasoned women meaning they knew exactly what they were doing and the risk that came with it.

So here is my theory.

This sounds like multiple persons given the two types of MO so close together but I won't rule out 1 man creating all this mayhem.
These men ARE certainly Johns.
FYI - These types of men generally run in packs. They are sick, degrading men who enjoy what they do. I myself have encountered men like this.
Most likely into the darker side of play but probably starts out with basic girlfriend experience play.
They/him are definitely regulars.
They/him have a built trust with these women leaving them to believe they can let their guard down. Biggest mistake in this industry is thinking you are safe when you never truly are.
They/he may stalk them.

As for the local bit, I'm not buying it. I believe yes, he is a native New Yorker but he probably knows the area so well from spending countless summers on those beaches. There is almost always the possibility of this being a police officer/vice.
Just because they/him is considered a man of the law doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I've seen numerous cops, troopers, and even the occasional politician.
These drop sights are NOT where the women are being killed, something about this area excited him and drew him to want to mark this as his own. But I believe he has a killing sight, somewhere he enjoys his time with these women.
This man or men have some extensive knowledge in what they are doing forensically by leaving little to no evidence.

If this is only 1 man, he's tactical, calculating, manipulative, charming, and probably a grade a sociopath which frankly isn't rare these days.

My question is this, now that Craigslist is gone as well as backpage this only leaves room for the deep rooted escort sites that are soon to be shut down. What does he do now?
How does he find his prey?
I say prey because that's exactly what he is doing, targeting women who are addicted, alone, homeless, and worst of all DESPERATE.

I'm intrigued to see how far this gets shoved under the rug before enough is enough. It's sad that this all has happened because it shouldn't have but with every risk there is a payout unfortunately it was untimely deaths.

There are 2 separate killers at play here. LISK's end result was merely for sexual pleasure with the victim ending up strangled and disposed of neatly. He's a conservative killer. He has a limit he does not cross, especially into mutilation. The way he disposed of his victims tells me he doesn't have the stomach for it. A torso killer, however, has no issue at all with total destruction. That's the end goal. Yes it can be sexual as well, but the sex itself is not completely gratifying. There is a fueled rage and hatred in this person so great, there is not going to be a whole body left to find. Some try to dispose of the identifying factors so the victim cannot be identified, others simply don't care. There are so many different types of murderers, even some they haven't even begun to profile, and those that will break all current profile proven facts. You cannot predict a killer. You cannot recognize a killer. You may have talked to one today. The idea of it is disturbing, but it's the reality we live in.

As for the websites being gone, that doesn't matter. Ridgway used no internet and had so many victims it makes LISK look like a beginner in comparison. To me, the websites just made it easier. No footwork or cruising around for victims, you could simply hop online and select from a buffet of victims, and they come to you. Every case you hear the saying of "depending on good old police tactics" paying off, well killers have old tactics themselves and it does not involve technology. Money is tempting, and yes, the root of all evil. Sounds to me LISK got an idea from Pretty Woman where the offer of a large amount of money from a charming man could not be turned down by working girl Julia Roberts. Truth is, safety is put on the back burner when money is involved. The larger the amount, the possible answer of no is seldomly heard. Killers know this, so to lure victims why not offer an abundance of something you need? Money, drugs.....etc. Ants will always attack you until you give them something sweeter, and humans are NO different. When enticed by something the guard goes down and then, it's another victim. It's like a hunter watching over a baited field. When distracted by the bait, all power and control goes to the hunter. Food for thought....Later

If I had my choice I think it’s the doctor Dr. Hackett… I mean he place telephone calls to the mother how did he have this information? We still don’t really know? They didn’t even know she was missing at this point?why did he deny making these calls . The investigators claim he’s harmless They say he’s known for telling stories etc.? But aren’t investigator supposed to look for people who inject themselves in the case!!! is that not 101 detective Dummies version…the killer did phone one of the victims sisters many times that fits his MO of calling his victims survivors as he’s a sadist and that’s a sadist thing to do. It’s Hackett in my opinion. I think something spooked Shannon, she had no drugs in her system… And she just happened to run for help to wrong house. Hackett being an opportunist He must’ve thought wow Christmas came early this year( gross). the SK when he called the victim sister years before had mentioned that he liked that he could visually see her sister rotting... Shannon Gilbert was found in eye sight of Hacketts house where he could see her rotting also?! Shannon’s mother actually went on Hacketts balcony because that was the best view of where her daughters remains were?!
It is very hard to find a cause of death after body left seven days out in the exposure unless they were shot stabbed these injuries leave marks on the bone... Poisoning can be taken care with a toxicology…But suffocation or soft kill ( as they call it) After even seven days left in exposure you can’t tell a cause of death sometimes that bone is broken when strangling but many times that bone stays in Tact

I am sure I am not alone with this theory but I believe Long Island was likely a dumping ground for more than one killer in a similar way the Texas Killing Fields were. I think it was likely though a dumping ground for at least one Serial Killer the Long Island Killer and that he was likely to be the offender in some of the earlier cases and may even be dormant now:

100%! That beach area is a long stretch of deserted land for 9 months a year. It’s really the ideal burial ground. Those other bodies would never have been found if it wasn’t for shannans 911 call.

I am new here. I have always had an interest in this case since I first heard about it.

Yes there are brothels in Queens I guess but I also know that there was a major crack down a few years ago. There was one that was hidden in a basement by where I get my nails some and it is actually a very busy middle class area and it's on a main road so that was weird.

I do believe that there is the possibility of there being more than one person that used Giglo Beach as their trophy garden. If you look you will see that in some places the bodies were really close together and then you see places where the bodies are spread out. Maybe they knew about each other maybe they didn't the only people that would know is the killers. Maybe the killer has multiple personalities with different killing styles. While it is highly unlikely it is still a possibility.

There are A LOT of wealthy people on Long Island. So I do feel that this person could have paid people off or that the person has a lot of influence. For some reason my gut is telling me it's a cop or someone with a lot of connections.

Do I think that the killings have stopped? Absolutely not. I think I that the person or people found a new place for their trophy garden. The thing about Giglo Beach besides it being deserted a lot of the year is that it had very thick brush which I believe helped conceal then bodies. I also believe that after the bodies were found that the brush was trimmed. The killer would have looked for a similar area to dump the bodies now. Maybe they are using a wooded area now.

Do I think that the doctor had something to do with Shannon's death? Yes I absolutely do. It is stated in the documentary that he had connections to the Suffolk Country Police Department and politicians. It could easily be a cover up. Also his erratic behavior concerns me but I feel like he is doing it just so that they leave him alone.

Also Megan's mother said that her daughter wouldn't leave without her self phone unless her guard was down. Well what if that was a condition made by the john because he did not want anyone being able to track the GPS on her cell phone. It could have been a high profile client so it could have been a request that was made numerous times.

Regarding the train in Penn Station, there aren't that many lines that go through different areas in Queens. The main train station in Queens is Jamaica. I would guess 98% of all the trains on the LIRR go through Jamaica, the only one I can think of that doesn't is the Port Washington line. If she was going back to Conn then she would have been taking Amtrack. But her cell did ping by Giglo Beach so that would be the train to Massapequa Park or Babylon and then a taxi ride. If they took a taxi together the company could possibly have surveillance footage somewhere. If they knew took the missing persons report seriously they could have easily obtained this footage and that is what bothers me the most. This person could easily be in jail right now.

Also why didn't anyone go to the police with these phone calls or at least record them. There were just so may missed opportunities in my opinion. If only the police took these complaints seriously.

Putting the bodies in both Nassau county and Suffolk was genius. Also someone made a comment about children's jewelry and how common it is. There are companies that only specialize in children's jewelry and then there are companies that sell both adult and children's jewelry. So I mean if they knew where it was from there is usually a company logo stamped in the jewelry, they can go through receipts and find out who bought it. I know the company I work for stamps everything.

Have there been any developments from the Suffolk County Police Department? I don't remember there being anything in the news but I could be mistaken.

Thank you. After I did some research. There is a man , John Bittrolff, in jail that they think committed one of the torso killings from Manorville so I guess they gave up looking for LISK. I still think that they need solid evidence he committed them all. These women deserve justice.

as well as the tirrel santiago theory so now im unsure, even if it was mo zhang maybe he wasnt cross dressing but a witness that maybe happened to be around during the dumping of a body and in rage was beaten to death, same with the mother and toddler possibly? im not a sex worker myself but i do know that theres someone i personally know who lives in a motel with her 3 kids and if she cant find a babysitter she brings her children along because she’s desperate for money so i dont want to rule out the mother and toddler not being there for trafficking reasons but something about it makes me believe that they were the wife and child of one of the serial killers and thats why they weren’t identified or looked for more thoroughly. another question i have is why they were the only african americans of the victims that were found? was it just random? maybe they werent part of these trafficking murders but just dumped in a similar location? the fact the jewelry wasnt stolen could potentially indicate that he felt it would be wrong to take it off of them for personal reasons, granted i am fully aware its more likely and it could also mean the intent wasnt robbery but a killing fantasy, yet i have a hard time letting go of the jewelry part, did the other victims have any jewelry left on them? sometimes its also a cultural thing, i know in indian culture they are all given bangles to represent marriage, other cultures are given bracelets as a representation of your friendship or relationship to someone, was the killer hinting us more than we know? has that ever been questioned? they could’ve possibly been from another state originally and the killer (aka the husband and father) moved them all to ny where they were murdered. i think the killer was a NY native but possibly was in a different state for an unknown reason, it goes with the hunting theory as well that he couldve been in the water going towards the warmer climate for his hunting in the bays/rivers as stated in the show. i believe there were 2 killers competing against each other which would also support the “hunting club” theory because hunters like to compete who can kill the most but instead of animals maybe they go for humans. i think that by them choosing sex workers is only because of the mere fact of they’re harder to report missing but if it was as hard to report anyone missing it might not be sex workers being targeted. im very intuitive and i have a very strong psychic sense, always have, and i am so attached to the doctor having a big part in this. im still deciding on if i think he mightve just been guilty because he gave her too many drugs and knew it could come back on him now that shes dead and he’s associated with a killer or if he actually could be the killer himself. im also kind of on the fence of if shan was even a part of lisks victims or if it was just a coincidence that uncovered so much truth that we all just put it to a connection. i live 45 mins from atlantic city and i recognized some of the scenes from the show where some of the motels were and felt so eerie just knowing ive been around there and thinking what if there are more victims that havent been found. im curious to see what people think of my theories!

My feeling as in the Texas Killing Fields cases more than one killer may be responsible for the crimes attributed to the Long Island Killer. I believe one killer may have been responsible for many of the older crimes. What is worrying of course is that none of the cases appear to be getting solved. Here is a recent blog about the cases:

The case of the Long Island Serial Killer(s) (you’ll soon see why the singular or plural is ambiguous) is one that has disturbed me ever since I first heard of it. It’s a case I didn’t plan to write about, since it’s pretty complex and somewhat more well-known than what I normally gravitate towards for this blog, but I feel compelled for a few reasons. First, the victims are mainly sex workers, and, going along with my overarching theme of giving attention to victims who are traditionally ignored when they go missing, sex workers are victims who often don’t get attention because of moral judgments on their profession and because they sometimes live more transient lifestyles and, thus, they can be off the grid for a while before people notice they are missing. Secondly, the fact that some of the victims to this day are unidentified bothers me, and I’d love to see those victims get their names back. And finally, the fact that LISK seems to have just stopped (at least in Long Island) is, I think, a telling clue, as serial killers don’t usually stop for no reason. Has LISK been made to stop by outside forces, like being in jail for other charges or having passed away? Or has LISK simply moved and is continuing his crimes in another location, preying on other victims who are going unnoticed by society?

If you watch people magazine season 1 episodes 1 and 2 it may help you look at it differently. I’m rewatching it now and I’ll post my suspicions afterwards. Also so sad that the mom Mary Gilbert was stabbed to death later on. Unreal the stuff this family endured.
