DK"s arraignment today was postponed until June 3 at 1:30 pm. Apparently he needs to have a permanent attorney in place at the arraignment, and now only has a temporary attorney. Reported by News Nation. I'm on my cell phone now and can't bring the link over.

I wonder if he is keeping the same attorney but they are still working on the finances. Or if he will change attorneys again.
Is this in Spain or the US?

The longer the wait, i am afraid, the harder the chance to recover the body of Ana. Who said that a Serbian/Macedonian (he studied in Macedonia) friend would not drive to destroy the remains? I hope his communications and visits of potential connections to Spain are tracked. JMO.

This brings up a question I think, was Ms. Weintraub his attorney at the proceeding and is she in fact his attorney? Or is that not the case? MOO IANAL

She represented DK at his bond hearing. It's possible that DK needs to work out his finances in order to retain Weintraub as his permanent attorney and so they need the extra time. JMO and speculation.

No bond for husband accused of kidnapping wife who vanished in Spain

A South Florida man accused of kidnapping his estranged wife in Spain was denied bond by a federal judge in Miami Friday. David Knezevich attended a pre-trial detention hearing to seek his release but the judge ultimately decided he's a potential flight risk. Knezevich was arrested Saturday after arriving at Miami International Airport on a flight from Serbia, and was charged with kidnapping in the disappearance of wife Ana María Henao Knezevich

DK's arraignment which was scheduled to take place today has been postponed for one week. His attorney has not been paid yet, so I asssume financial arrangement with attorney still being resolved.

DK's arraignment now scheduled for June 10th.

After Monday's hearing, David Knezevich's defense attorney, Jayne Weintraub, spoke to the media for the first time.

"All I can say is I hope before we come back next week, you heard the FBI agent last week testify there is a very active investigation going in Spain right now looking for her, and I can only hope that she either comes in or she’s found for David’s sake before we go to court," Weintraub said.

Spanish authorities had released new video of their ongoing search for Ana Maria, which shows the FBI and Spanish National Police in a wooded area and in what appears to be a canal.

It's not exactly clear from the video where in Spain they are searching but the area appears to be near a highway.

Police in Spain said they have multiple tips that point to different scenarios of where Ana Maria could be.

IIRC, it is stated in the affidavit that Ana was last seen entering her building in the afternoon of February 2nd. I get it to be her last sighting on camera. Is it still true that a neighbor saw her outside of her apartment at 10pm that evening? DK left the building with a suitcase half an hour later. She was never seen leaving. Was there a way for her to leave the building alive and avoid being on camera? Obviously spray painting the camera failed. If there was no other way, then she's either still in the building or was carried out. It's probably unrealistic to expect she could have left through the roof or a window.

Ignoring all the other evidence against him for a second, why bother wearing a helmet if you’re not going to lower the visor to cover your actual face as you approach a *camera*??

hardware store images look like him, unsure about the apartment building videos - we only see his eyes and eyebrows
If it’s not him, then he needs some other guy to have been to that same hardware store who very similar to him, to then have gone to Ana’s apartment and sprayed her security camera for… reasons.

I should've phrased that differently I guess. I totally believe it's him but if they only had the apartment video, I wouldn't be able to convict on that alone.
