An FBI forensics lab identified a blood stain outline of a child in the fetal position in the trunk liner of accused child killer Casey Anthony’s car, according to newly released documents.

Yes, I know there's a thread on the stain in the trunk. I didn't know it was about a "bloody" stain.

Do we have absolute confirmation that the car was out of gas? I know that George showed up with a Gas can when he went to pick it up, but was there something, other than Casey mentioning she was out of gas, to confirm this?

My point is, is it possible that truly running out of gas gave her the idea that she could use that as an excuse to abandon it? For whatever reason, AL never came with a gas can to fill it up again, he just picked her up...

According to memory (which could be faulty):
George stated it was out of gas when he picked it up from the towyard. I think AL said during his LE interview that KC told him the gas gauge did not work and that is why she kept running out of gas and her father was going to have the car towed to a shop to have it fixed.

I also remember reading OCSO docs stating the gas gauge was on empty when they received the car. They put gas in it and the gauge responded correctly. So, another KC lie.

For some unknown reason Fox News Channel has been reporting it as a blood stain since it came out last week. I think they are the only channel doing this.

If you google bloody stain in Casey Anthony's trunk, there are numerous news stations reporting this, not just foxnews. Someone posted a youtube link from Gerlado before, who is also reporting a bloody outline!

I have only seen/heard this from One station, the FOX one.
Could you please include some links from the numerous stations you mentioned?

I wonder if enough blood residue would have been detectable in the blankets used to wrap up her remains? After being submerged, subjected to the elements so long even the flesh was gone, perhaps not.

I follow this case daily but can't begin to keep up with the real sleuthers here. But "blood" in the back of the car (spilled quickly) versus "decomp fluids", which would take time to develop, sounds like a smoking gun to me.

Your first link is not a bonified news source.
The second link has obviously copied the misinformation from the FOX channel.
If there was indeed a blood outline of a child it would be Headline News everywhere.

I was wondering the same thing. I am not good with all this stuff. But if she tried to clean the trunk with chemicals and whatever she could get her hands on, could that have cleaned the dna off?
