Something I just noticed: she inadvertently made the beautiful Grace Kelly look rather psycho. It's as if the evil just oozes from her fingers.

And yes, I believe Dior (part of a huge conglomerate) might pursue legal action. (Insert Nelson Muntz "ha ha" here.)

They have no leverage, unless they go after Ebay or other 'brokerage' channels.

What can they threaten?

What does JA have that they can win in a settlement?

Contraband pens and creams?

Golf pencils?

To wit:

Well good luck with that Jodi, by now the whole world has seen the mom's interview with Flores, and we all know she kicked, slapped, yelled at her mom and they have a very "troubled" and complicated relationship. If Mom testifies the only thing it will show is that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because it would be all lies.

Now this was in the beginning, I remember reading that the mom tried to get National Inquirer to print (forged) letters of TA admitting to being a pedophile or something like that. I wouldn't be too surprised to hear that the mom believes her story. And grandma was wearing a "Domestic violence" ribbon in court.

You're kidding! :floorlaugh: I missed her testimony/JM' cross because of exams. There is no way that woman' evaluation can be viewed as objective.

Oh yes. It was an amazing juror question asking if the messages in the magazine ALV had bought Jodi were meant for her. I love this jury and HOPE that wasn't #8's question. They think of things even we miss!

I loved the question to Flores about whether or not there was anything stored in the attic! Someone on there is really thinking things through!

I'll have to see if I can find the link. The DT filed a motion to preclude lack of remorse from being considered. What amazed me was that the motion actually stated that JA does not ever intend to convey remorse, even if convicted. She will never admit guilt, even if found guilty, and will never show remorse. That says it all.

People like her can experience shame--shame at being publicly exposed--but never remorse because genuine remorse is based on conscience--something she clearly lacks. As many others have noted, she is all exterior appearances and nothing interior. She's like a black hole (apologies to any physicist here).

I'm having trouble eating and sleeping. It's close, so close. We're almost there. We've invested so much into this. We've neglected our loved ones, chores, hobbies etc. just to see Justice for Travis. Now we're finally here. I can't imagine how JM must feel with all the people depending on him for a murder one verdict. I pray for Juan Martinez...

Anyway, you know, some people say they cannot imagine JA using a knife first or waiting all day, having sex and then murdering Travis in cold blood. The thing is we can't put ourselves in that situation and ask ourselves what we would do. It would be nothing like what JA did or will ever do. We can't think or what we would do and then try to make the evidence fit according to our own assumptions. We have to look at the evidence and reach our conclusions based on the evidence alone.

Jodi speaks from prison ( demented she is )#JodiArias

Taken from the Jodi Arias is Innocent page on facebook:

I wish Travis didn't have to die. I wish the events of June 4th didn't happen but they did. I don't approve of some of the stuff Travis did, but I still love him as a human being. I do hope also he is at peace, but it shouldn't be at the cost of taking another life in the process to achieve that peace. There are other ways Travis can find peace.

:newhere:

This is as good a time as any to introduce this major lurker to you, the good people of WS. Thank you for the hours of informative, often enlightening and lively commentary, on the general thread, and the more specialized ones. Really good stuff, very nice people. And a well moderated board, free of garbage.

Anywho - while I'm an avid reader and viewer of fictional mysteries, thrillers and court room drama, this is the first time I pay attention to a real life case. For two main reasons:

  1. Travis - While I find Arias to be an average, cunning yet not so smart, type of stalker/killer/loser, the notion that a bright, innocent, full of life young man, the age of my son, could be taken in, then mercilessly slaughtered by this woman, really concerns me. Like many others here, I keep thinking of my own son, and getting nauseated every time. Horrified.
  2. Juan Martinez - I'm in awe of this man, his passion, his excellent mind and professional determination to see to it that the ridiculous self-defense claim is thoroughly debunked, and that this horrible killer is punished to the full extent of the law. This prosecutor speaks for me, and countless mothers of young men I'm sure. No Ma'am No, you will not tarnish Travis's memory, after butchering him. No, you will not get away with premeditated murder. Nope, ain't happening. This will not stand, no way, no how. Thanks to Juan Martinez, this Jury has your number, and how.

Finally, let me just say, I'm a lifelong opponent of the death penalty, of the "don't kill nobody on my behalf, not with my hard earned tax dollars, let's not be killers too" persuasion.

On this one though, while I'd be satisfied with Life Without Possibility of Parole, the Death Penalty won't upset me. Why, do you ask? The lies, people, the lying to the face of the Jury. That's the worse kind of aggravating factor, to me. Seriously. How do you sit there, all sworn in and all, and tell us such disgusting boldfaced lie, after lie, after lie.

I want to smack the obnoxious killer chick (and her lawyer sidekick, Lord Have Mercy) a few times, and say: Girl, take a few hundred seats already, with that nasty, gleeful, yes gleeful, murdering attitude of yours. You're on trial for Aggravated, Premeditated Murder Numero Uno, you killer you. How dare you continue to lie to us all. Who do you think you're fooling? You planned it, you did it, you tried (so hard) to cover it up. Give it up already. We got your number, you murdering fool. Curtains for the Arias Circus. Off she goes. Don't let that door hit you, you awful, despicable excuse of a human being.

God forgive me on this Sunday, I want her to be sentenced to death. I so want to hear the statements from Travis's family. I want his siblings to finally have the chance to tell their brother's killer just exactly what they think of her, thus speaking for the rest of us. I feel for you, Travis's family. I do. I pray for you. Stay strong. The Worse Is Over. Justice Will Prevail.:heartbeat:

Hasta luego, people of WS. Had to share. Thank you for reading. Back to lurkdom. :seeya:See you around. M.

Man, please, please, Jur give this woman the death penalty.

Exactly! This jury is so thorough and thinking of everything and getting all the info they need for deliberations. I loved the attic questions. Means: I don't believe the pedophile story...

That is surely a possibility, Mom and Grandma may believe it - to a degree. But I doubt either would have any credibility with the jurors who have heard of the break in at grandmas and abuse to and from mom.

I typed national geographic instead of national inquirer, lol.
I hope you're right.
I'd learn to live with LWOP but I want the DP for this egomaniac evil psycho.

I know that JA said she got a replacement phone after the Helio was reported stolen and I just assumed the replacement was another Helio and that is what she took the phones with on June 3rd. Does anyone know if she ever got another phone or she always had the original phone? I kind of thought if she had the original phone she would have deleted that sex tape but maybe not.

The SIM card from the Helio is all she needs.

She could have transferred it between Helio phones all day long.

That's where the data ARE stored.

Attention Det. Melendez: "Data" is the plural form of the word and "datum" the singular.

[Not that I expected Jodi to understand this, with her perfect verbal comprehension, but merely to emphasize semantic precision in a legal proceeding.]

Wow. I hope she reads something like this in front if the jury in the sentencing phase. She cannot even pretend to have remorse. She cannot even say the words I'm sorry. Sorry for th pain I've caused, for the life lost. It's I wish Travis didn't have to die but oh well, what ya gonna do. At least he's at peace now. You should be thanking me for that.

That would be a sure DP.
