Does anyone find it strange that she was trying to have a 2nd child with BC and during that time, got drunk at a party and wound up fooling around with JP?

I do. It gives the impression that she wanted to get pregnant, not that she wanted to have a second child with Brad.

It'd be quicker at this point in this case to pick out the parts of the case that aren't strange!

Ohhhhhh Man..Kurtz is bringing up the youngest paternity with him...Yikes. this Def. will leave no smut rock unturned will they?..Boy, this guy had no interest in Nancy as in a crush..and Nancy had more important things to think about, worry about and plans to get bak to Canada..which is precisely why JP has only been sacrificed by Defense for no other reason than smear Nancy....

I recall many many years ago, the Karla Homolka Case, my boyfriend at the time had a male friend who dated her//Yikes he was interrogated relentlessly just because he had a few outings, and ya..you know...You never know just when something you did will get spotlighted..yet be totally irrelevant...Its scary to think you were associated with any victim or suspect..Its almost enough to hide yourself in your house, and dont socialize with anybody~~ Young Adults just dont think about things like that until after the fact..and of coursse it doesnt stop all the finger pointing, judgements and suspicions that get thrown at you...Smoke and mirrors is all the def. is doing here...IMO

BTW..I dont think he was lying...IF some wish to condemn him for not spilling the beans about an indiscretion back 3 years prior...I would venture to say most witnesses being interviewed by police are NOT 100% going to talk about things like that...but will come out with it if needs be..which JP infact did..

Did BC even know about this one night thing before the murder?

I don't see this as very likely. Brad was a cheater himself.

He wanted to be the only cheater tho. He dissed NC so much that it was okay for him to do it, but I get the impression it hurt his wittle ego a little too much when she did it.

BC's lies still trump JP's by an order of magnitude of 100 or more.

And yet Brad has tugged at the heartstrings of conspiritorators everywhere.

Some can feel this witness is slimy and a possible suspect who has never been properly excluded.

Some can feel this witness is slimy and was vetted by the CPD in contradiction to the defense theory they didn't check out other leads.

But I think we can all agree he is slimy.

I was wondering the same thing! Does anyone know if BC knew about JP?

I got the impression BC knew about Florida guy because he agreed to give NC a car and start a family for her come back. But then I thought about it, and I don't recall it being stated that BC actually KNEW about the other man.

Good question. I can't recall if she had owned up to it or not.

ETA: with his monitoring of e-mails and obvious interest in her cell phone, I'd put odds on his knowing who she was in contact with. But I don't know; can't remember if he said anyting about it in the depo.

This is another big <so what> IMHO. He's in sales, thinks he's a glib talker and a ladies man. He's clearly lied, but the interview was contradictory to what the defense has been saying for the last thousand years. I mean, hours. Which is that they never considered anyone else. If they didn't consider anyone else, what were all those questions the investigator was asking? Nobody else noticed this? I wonder if the defense doesn't think the jury will.

Listening to the tapes...CPD did not consider JP (or 'Michael') a suspect - they had their man from hour 5. The purpose of these interviews was to ensure the 'non-AS-coordinated-friends' wouldn't embarass them.

JP said they 'started intercourse'.

However - since the defense didn't press beyond the question of "did NC ever talk to you about obligations", I assume there is no paternity test or if there is the daughter is brad's.

I believe the defense asked the CPD to get a DNA test on the youngest child and it was never done.

And please, oh please Mr. JP do NOT come here to defend yourself tonight!

When did he diss NC so much? How do we know he wanted to be the only cheater or that her cheating bruised his ego? We don't even know he knew about the one night stand with JP.

You can scream that BC lied from the rooftops, but:

BC lies (actual and presumed) are not enough to convince a jury that he murdered his wife.

Witness lies/deceit could be enough to convince a juror of reasonable doubt.

I believe the defense asked the CPD to get a DNA test on the youngest child and it was never done.

Ann Miller's daughter was DNA tested, but they never released that information. My guess would be that a DNA test has been done on NC's child, and that doesn't mean the results would be released. But it's just a guess.

as slimy as a snail's trail

Seems like the defense just proved that the CPD followed many leads and considered other suspects. So much for "rush to judgment" defense.
