Hard to believe we are even having this discussion. Anyone remember the case from Flagstaff earlier this summer, her name is escaping me at the moment. A neighbor saw her husband on top of her in the backyard assaulting her, never called LE - but later told them what they saw and heard.

Kelly Paduchowski. Scarily similar to this case.

Snipped & BBM

Something that sticks out to me is the explicit information that she may have taken off her shoes...what could be a reason behind making sure that was specified? Did someone see her barefoot after she left the club? Did they find a black high heel in the area? Just thinking out loud.

MOO
Just now getting into this thread. SMH.
Re the shoes being taken off: Did she take them off so that she could run away from her husband, or did she try to use them as a defensive weapon against her husband, perhaps?
Hoping that she is okay and hiding out and/or cooling off.

So basically this guy assaulted his wife, left the area for a couple of hours, returned home, his kids witnessed some violence against his wife, they went to school (assuming he dropped them off), he reported her missing at some point, escaped to his ranch, and their children were never picked up by Suzanne which she usually does. He's not cooperating now. DM reports he's wealthy. I just hope they find her soon. Critical to the doing (to me) is the couple of hours he left after the assault.

She was last seen at 11pm ( nobody is showing a house that late) was she last seen at her home wearing a black dress and heals?
Her husband was at a social club for a friend's bday party. Suzanne arrived later (with her 5 year old), the two got into a screaming match, they left separately. The neighbor saw a physical altercation & them saw them walking away (into a wooded area). She also called her mom around 11pm to tell her that her husband had punched her several times.

I hope the police are searching his ranch. He left for one or two hours. His ranch is in bandera Texas. He could take take something or someone that distance in exactly two hours. The time his neighbor said lapsed between leaving the house and getting back home after the fight.

Yes, right down to the fact both husbands were arrested and then LE had to search for the wives bodies.

Hopefully this wife killer also confesses and saves everyone some time and effort. Their poor kids, once again they are victims that suffer the most. Life without both of their parents.

Are there any bodies of water nearby? Does this guy work, if so what does he do?

My heart is aching so badly… my daughter went to preschool with their youngest daughter. I just want to hold that little girl and keep her safe and I just can’t imagine how she must hurt after seeing what she saw.
Where are the children now? Relatives? What about school?
SMH. <sigh>

Yes to your first question, The San Antonio River where LE has been searching as well as the woods.

Searches are underway at the San Antonio River by the intersection of East Olmos Drive and East Contour Drive near where she lives.

If he is guilty, I wonder what the motive would be after 22 years of marriage with what friends describe a sweet and wonderful committed mother and woman. Jealousy? She wanting to leave the relationship ? Someone flirting with her or him at the party? Drinking problem (his)…Anger management issues, raptus? Her discovering an affair ?
Usually abusive relationships do not last 22 years.IMO this must be sth grown with time.
JMO, puzzles me but of course we never see the full picture

I respectfully disagree that abusive relationships usually do not last 22 years. Plenty, plenty, plenty do, especially when there are children.

I have a hunch that the motive is the husband was a narcissist who grew worse over time, but that's a guess not a fact. I am speculating. I wouldn't be surprised if he has financial problems, too, but that, again, is a guess at this point. I'm guessing, based on following many cases here on WS. imo

Investigators had yet to sweep the family home as of early afternoon Wednesday, October 9, but a search of nearby woods uncovered two “articles of interest” which are pending forensic testing.

“We didn’t get notified of that disturbance or anything unusual until 24 hours later when it was reported to us by Mr. Simpson that she was missing,” Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said during a press conference ...
  • Sun night, Oct 6, Simpson attended a party at The Argyle in Alamo Heights
  • She arrived home sometime after 9 p.m. that same evening.
  • Around 11 pm, Sun night a neighbor observed a physical altercation between Brad and Suzanne
  • The neighbor heard two or three loud screams from a wooded area near the Olmos Park homes
  • About an hour later, he saw Brad start his truck and leave the residence.
  • Brad reportedly returned home a couple hours later.
  • Mon, Oct 7 Brad reported his wife missing about 3 p.m. after the school called to notify him his wife hadn’t picked up their daughter as usual.
  • Mon, Oct 7 Suzanne's phone last pinged at an unnamed Olmos Park business however, her cellphone has been silent ever since.
  • Wed, Oct 9 Brad was arrested around 1:30 a.m. at a home in Kendall County – about 30 miles north of San Antonio.

I'm a bit confused here. Who got the youngest up for school Monday? Did the young child see mom at all? If she got home around 9pm and the fighting outside was at 11pm she could have had time to change her clothes etc. IMO
Looking for the correct link right now, but the affidavit released said Dad dropped off the youngest at school in the morning.

Is it known who apparently dropped the daughter off at school on Monday morning? I’ve missed it if so. (ETA….just answered it seems by @jab99 in post # 77. Thx!)

IMO based on the timeline @PommyMommy has graciously compiled in post # 75 above….. wonder if the husband was aware or had information of something that might have occurred at the party at the Argyle? Perhaps he followed her there to observe? And then did he confront the victim later that evening? When the child might have been in bed? Perhaps the two articles of interest included her shoes? (Speculating she was trying to outrun him?) And if she was still wearing her dress shoes / clothes, seems he confronted her rather soon after her arrival at home? Perhaps he sent the child to bed early…… premeditated?

Sure hope they can locate her based on what seems to have transpired. Hopefully CCTV and surveillance video can help locate his apparent destination when he left the residence near midnight IIUC?

Is it just me, but IMO it seemed tasteless or even offensive that the DM source in post # 40 above referred to the ‘wealthy husband’…… arrested in SCS disappearance. SMH. Even if true, seems perhaps crass or disparaging to others involved. MOO

From your link :
"Family violence" charge.
Never heard that one before ?
'Domestic violence' is the usual term.

Makes me wonder if he was violent towards the kids, younger and also the adult kids if they were home ?
Ugh.
Omo.
The terms are often used interchangeably, but typically family violence is a term used in cases involving violence against the spouse that was witnessed by minor children (the children were not physically harmed). Domestic violence is more typically used in a case involving violence against an intimate partner, who may not be legally a family member.

I'm thinking she at least stepped inside the house and took her boots off. jmo
