Thanks @jab99 for the thoughts and also @commentatingbee for the timeline. And yes, agree don’t want to speculate if children are involved. (I am a little surprised that charging sheet / affidavit lists the child’s name. At least comparing with a few other recent cases followed here at WS.)

Having said that…… IANAL but IIUC premeditation can be formed in an instant at times. And it is now clear the parents argued at the party. In which they had gone separately. They left separately too IIUC. And then shortly it seems after returning home another altercation. And still awaiting the given outcome. Whether it was instantaneous, in the heat of moment or passion, or premeditated still to be determined. Not ruling either out at the moment.

Just hope she can be located and soon. MOO
I agree!
They didn't arrive or leave together, were arguing at the club, while attending a birthday party (so, in front of friends), which usually indicates a more serious situation, since it wasn't paused until they were in a private setting. Then it escalated when they arrived home & became physical.
The neighbor saw him getting physical with her and saw them walk towards the woods. The way he describes it, sounds like she was trying to get away from him and he chased her.
Then, she calls her friend wanting to come over (sounding frantic), and later calls her mother to inform her that he punched her and her back and neck were injured.
Then POOF, she's never heard from again???
It played out like a horror film & I unfortunately have a strong feeling that she is "gone", at his hand.
The daughter (she's a freshman in college) even told police that she thinks her dad hurt her mom. That says A LOT.

Also, the teenage boy arrived home around midnight & the husband claimed that Suzanne slept in her younger child's bed. But if that were true, why wouldn't she take her to school & why didn't the son see her? There are major holes in his story.
I think they need to search his ranch. They arrested him there, in Kendall County, where the ranch is located. Why would he be there instead of out looking for his missing wife if he wasn't guilty? STRANGE!

Authorities on Thursday also released a new photo taken the night Simpson disappeared, from outside the Argyle where she and her husband were attending a party hours before. The Olmos Park police chief said it's their hope someone will remember seeing Simpson in that black dress and heels, and call authorities.

  • LE has found "possible evidence," including from inside the Simpson residence but it has yet to be fully analyzed.
  • Search warrants are also being sought for access electronic records.
  • At this time there's no evidence suggesting authorities might upgrade Brad Simpson's charges.

Villegas said they still have not located her cellphone, but are getting warrants to search other electronic devices.

Villegas said over 100 people have reached out with information they believe may be important. Some tips may have already helped, he said, but it’ll take time to sort through credible tips.

According to an arrest report, Simpson’s husband Brad Simpson, 53, was arrested early Wednesday traveling along Intestate 10 in Kendall County.

"Surely foul play, the more time passes the more we believe foul play was involved," says Chief Villegas.

“I’m in total disbelief,” Brad Simpson’s mother, who did not reveal her name, told KSAT. “... we are a devastated family and we do need privacy and that’s all we’re asking for because our only concern right now are these children and these grandchildren.”

Why wouldn't her mom or the friend she called have called LE after their phone calls with her? She told her mom she was injured and frantically wanted to go stay at the friend's house. Neither of these people called police? Did she actually talk to them or leave a message?

Did he bond out?

If so, I sure hope LE are watching his every move.
“And that he posted bond and was out,” Resendez said, repeating another rumor he has heard in the neighborhood.

However, as of Thursday afternoon, Brad Simpson remained in custody with bonds set at $2 million.

Behind a paywall. Does anyone have access who could summarize it?

  • Brad was a property manager at a local real estate company for 10 years, but became involved in a nasty legal dispute with his employer; the details are long and complicated, but it appears that BS was double-dealing.
  • Brad was involved in a number of real estate and construction deal and he's linked to 15 Texas companies, most of which have gone out of business. 4 of his companies are still listed as active.
  • AmEx has twice sued him for failing to pay his credit card bills.

Thank you for the summary!

He doesn't seem like the most up-and-up person, imo.
