Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander-Brothers at Head of Luxury Real Estate Empire Accused of Drugging, Sexually Assaulting Women-Dec-24

MIAMI – A mix-up accidentally started the process of sending a high-profile real estate broker facing federal sex trafficking charges to New York before his pre-trial detention hearing in Miami even happened Tuesday.

The U.S. Marshals service told Local 10 News they caught the clerical error before Oren Alexander departed South Florida.

I feel like they were just so emboldened with their money and power and had gotten away with their unethical, abusive behaviors sooo many times that they kept pushing them. And they wouldn't have stopped.

I imagine that theirs was a strange mix of arrogance and insecurity. They were raised by successful immigrants, and they didn’t just slowly grow into successful realtors themselves, but were hired at the age of 20 by a top company via parental connections. I feel that they constantly needed to prove their alpha-maleness to the world. If the high school scandal was real, the fact that they didn’t learn anything from it is probably the most telling.

IMO
These individuals are spoiled rotten and immoral to the core.
Feeling untouchable and treating women as objects.
This is the result of "stress free upbringing" and being treated as princes/God's gift to women with no accountability whatsoever.

What a shame!

Respect towards others is taught at home.

Apparently it's not even just one high school scandal. They did it to multiple girls, together, alone, etc. Terrible.

A federal judge in New York will now decide the pre-trial fates of the Alexander brothers, the two successful real estate brokers who with another brother face sex trafficking charges.

This has been going on for a very long time and here what is surprising.

They are young men. Rich or not, they were in their mid-20es during "me, too." And before, many cultural changes happened in the world. They are young men. How come they didn't learn?

Where is the evidence? I am starting to become obsessed with this case and have read through all the civil court dockets. Angelica Parker is the girl who attempted to extort de la Hoya and then sued him for rape when he didn’t pay (she lost all of her multiple suits). The ausa hasn’t provided anyone anything. 40 interviews simply means that they knocked on 40 doors. They only have two counts against them mirroring the counts from the state case (maybe same woman) The article wasn’t an article it was a blog who someone made to look like the article. Not one thing gossiping about them on thedirty gawker or any of the gossip websites. Nothing on old socialite/club message boards. Nothing makes sense to me here. This is very different from Epstein and even diddy. No one could be that good at hiding that behavior especially three men and for decades without at least whispers stamped somewhere. Someone please give me facts!

Except they haven't been hidding anything. They are known to SA girls in their community, and that goes back to their high school days. This wasn't a secret, it appears most people in their social/community circles knew about it. They kept doing it for years because nothing ever happened to them, until they probably messed with the wrong person. They have been arrested, this is not a civil matter anymore, everything will come out in due time. It's not just Angelica Parker, she wasn't the one who was raped in high school.

"stomach churning" is so true. I actually did feel physical anguish reading this....

Like are we going back 50 years with misogyny everywhere, or just forward with overwhelming and increasing crime privilege to the wealthy??

I do hope we can get a factual timeline for these guys.

It does seem that way. As always a complex set of factors, but the rise in inequality combined with increasingly untethered social media channels and high-profile enablers is genuinely frightening for the future of a set of crimes already too rarely prevented and prosecuted.

But at least they're bringing these cases to court. Hopefully it succeeds and prevents at least some future realtor/ banking/ cheffing / fashion / whatever bro from attacking the next victim.

How are they known of this? Other than what I can verify as money hungry people talking to papers for money I don’t see anyone saying this. Being a jerk doesn’t mean a rapist. I don’t see any solid evidence and am perplexed. In the scene also and only had heard they were a little arrogant and swingers. That is not rapists though. This whole situation is so confusing to me.

It is an ongoing case. We shall be privy to some information and not to other. I am following articles so far.

TBH, the business is very lucrative, so I did ask myself, was it about the envy of other developers? AFAIK, the brothers’ initial success was set up by their father, plus Lorber, his NYC acquaintance, plus a certain Florida developer. As we all can guess, this sole fact, for two priviliged 20-year-olds, already generated a lot of envy and animosity.

But yet…The parents were warning their daughters to never date either of these three, never stay alone with them. Since high school! Alexander's parents were not rich then. As I understand, it was a rather tight-knit Miami community, and the family was respected. But about the three brothers, it was always known.

I was wondering if there is something else behind the whole story. Did they start bringing in wrong clients? Or, after all, Lorber was allocating them many houses? It is cutthroat business, and if he gave the most to the brothers, people could get envious. But Alon A. was not in that business, and yet he is also charged. So I think that O, A and T truly shared certain unhygienic kink, and worse, they thought that it was normal male behavior, so they didn’t conceal it.

So, we’ll see. It is not similar to any previous case, but the legality of intimacy is a complex issue. Even if a girl agrees to have sex with you, but mid-way you are switched with your brother, that turns the whole issue into non-consensual? If it is a 17-year-old girl in a bar and you are 27 and the age of consent in CO is 17, well, maybe you can think you can get away with it, but you buy her one drink, and it may be statutory rape. Alon was a lawyer. Didn't he know the ramifications of gang rape? They enjoyed their power, but there was minimal social awareness, as it appears. I have a feeling that some of the women will prove their case. I am also surprised that on the photos, the brothers look scared, but still not getting it?

wow, netflix just launched a new series called " selling the city" and Howard appears in episode 6. I guess this means there won't be a season 2.

<modsnip - quoted post was removed>

<modsnip - no link>But, "me, too", AFAIK, is a very different case. "Me, too" is about men using power to make women sleep with them, like the case of the old "casting couch." Also: certain people are just unpleasant and disliked, and maybe HW was of the type? After all, many people were accused in the context of "me, too". To some, it stuck, to some, it didn't, and to some, it stuck but was forgotten with time. Personality matters. People in the business said that HW was plain rude to everyone, his secretaries, his coworkers, so no one stood up for him.

In Alexander's case: in many articles, the brothers' aggressive business practices and demands of "cuts on everything" were mentioned. Perhaps their boorishness played a certain role?

So the first time I read about the case, I thought, maybe they bit off a piece they shouldn't have. Or maybe, just maybe, their main support was Lorber, and his business style was too obsolete, so he had to go? Or maybe the brothers, realistically, didn't get it? During the hearing, their father had a very inappropriate response when he was asked how he felt, and he said, "great!" What is so great? So i wonder if the brothers simply didn't get it either. Forgot that they were not omnipotent?

MOO. It could have been that many women ended up unhappy and angry after the encounters, but felt scared or threatened to sue. And now, as it seems that the brothers' huge business was a house of cards, lawsuits have started?

The bottom line is, how solid are the women's cases. JMO, some will be solid enough. I think there are certain patterns that the victims mention that look similar, but it is MOO.

However, if everyone in their circle and went to the same parties, (which wealthy people usually do) why did anyone go with them. If they were known to invent parties in order to get females alone and gang rape them why would anyone leave with them? I don't understand that. If I knew someone who was good looking and wealthy and he invited me somewhere, I wouldn't care how much money he had, I'm not going. He couldn't force these people to go with them. And, why weren't other people invited to go to the parties, as well. That would make me all the more suspicious. I couldn't be the only one to go if it were a party. If these "gentleman" were known for their antics, and word of that type thing spreads fast. I live in a small community, and am married now, but when I was in that scene, we all surely knew who to avoid. MOO. Katt

They are accused of using drugs to make women comply.

Also, there is a professional, a successful broker, Tracy Tutor, who is accusing Oren Alexander, no? And she has the reputation and the name. It was in NYT and TheRealDeal. She has recently left Douglas Elliman with her team, but half a year after she joined the lawsuit.
