Did Teresa herself release anything to the public? Or just Art and Cobra?

I would question their reporting, jmo. Art was still posting until sometime in June that Teresa said she picked HaLeigh up, and then apologized for his reporting. Wonder if he ever called Teresa to apologize.

To my knowledge she wasn't the one who did the filming, AH was.. Did she confront him or release anything to the public stating it didn't go down as depicted on tape?

I remember that. Wonder IF she has ever corrected her statement that her son picked up Haleigh from the bus stop and apologized for stating such?

Don't know about a phone call...but he did clear up the situation...:)

Shall we? If you and I can agree to sleuthing all these families till we are told by police that so and so has been arrested then you got a deal. Now if we are going to work as ateam and set an example lets look at Motive for TN.

I would give you motive to cover up for her son but not of harming or hidding HaLeigh her self. But would TN risk her job for her son? It is my experiance that those that are within LE tend to hold up the law and Ron possible would be outed by his own mother if she suspected him of this crime. I also have seen this women cry the most IMO. IDK

BBM
I would lean toward TN covering for Ron.

I think she would risk her job or anything else in a heartbeat for her son not to go to prison, if indeed she even sees it as a risk. She may see it as a sure thing. We dont' know, b/c she hasn't admitted to any covering. Most people in covering mode wouldn't. I cant blame her for that. I mean once one has made the decision to cover for someone they typically keep it to themselves. I get that.

The experience you describe that you've had with folks in LE sounds like a positive experience with people who do their job honestly. That's great; but I wonder if we asked posters here how many LE, judges, etc in their experience, or in the news as examples, have been not so great, there would be some to speak up. I'm not knocking LE. I have family members dedicating their lives to it. I'm just saying that they're not all upstanding, etc. So it happens.

I saw Susan Smith cry her eyes out. Additionally, I can see TN as being genuinely sad that Haleigh is gone - if she is. Also, people can be devastated and grief-stricken to the bone and not cry on TV imo.

MOO

TN is histrionic as is her son...IMO...very high strung. She can cry easily.
You bet she'd cover and lie for her son too. She may feel guilt from not being around much when he was growing up and making up for it now. He appears devoted at least by placing her given name over his heart. This is a very complicated relationship, IMO.

As far as I know, I don't even think TN has actually been working for quite some time. She may be on disability or some other type of leave from her job. That is what was reported by a local...so it can be speculation but it certainly fits. We do not have confirmation, but it sure doesn't appear she is working or was working around that time.

BBM: Please provide source for that info - I have never heard that TN was not around much when he was growing up. TIA

I do believe TN was on leave from her job when Haleigh went missing.

What's the source for that information about her leave?

LOL I was waiting for someone to post that. I said I do believe - didnt state it as fact and was responding to Whisper saying she didnt think TN was working.

What's the source for that information about her leave?

Boy! I've heard of people being criticized for not crying or showing emotion when someone they loved dearly is missing. This is the first time I've heard someone criticized as being "high strung" and for "crying easily" when their loved one has disappeared for 7 months!
What's a person to do? Stay in hiding from the media, I guess. But then they would probably be criticized for acting suspicious.

I was just going to post a comment concerning this crying then I saw these posts.

Agree with you Kamky, for the very first time last night I caught a segment from ng show airing on the weekend, reruns I believe, where R and T were being interviewed. Don't know the proximity in time to the disappearance. Never had seen the clip either. TN was just weeping as Ron and Nancy talked. Reminded me of how I cry when I feel hopeless, discouraged and scared. Her face was red. Bent over crying.

I've seen hard people in my lifetime, but I just can't see Ron being so close with his Mother and hearing those sobs and not coming clean to give her some kind of relief. My brother is a hard person, but let my Mama cry, and he goes crazy. Ron is not near as hard appearing as my brother. After years of telling him I love him, he finally told me this week on the phone he loved me. I was pleasantly shocked because I didn't say it to him, we were hanging up the phone, he called to check on Granny, and he blurted out happily that he loved me. Guess you can overcome with goodness.

If Ron is found to have guilt concerning any part of his daughters disappearance, I'll be shocked. His Grandma Sykes appears to be a strong woman, but his Mother T doesn't, she is a tender person as I view the footage. I would love to know where LE stands at this moment in the way of suspects.

So do you think Teresa was so intellectually challenged that she was willing to believe all of Misty and Ron's inconsistent stories?

I never had the impression that Teresa was anything but smart, sharp as a tack.

Haleigh is her granddaughter and as far as I can tell Teresa loved her very much. I can imagine a mother not even considering her son would have done something wrong. I cannot begin to fathom that she would have been as blinded to her son's girlfriend of a few months.

Teresa is just much smarter than all that, in my opinion.

K we will just have to agree to disagree.

Okay, let's just get right down to the heart of the matter. I don't know who raised Ronald, but I do know that there are public records that can prove things one way or the other.

Where did Ronald go to high school? [btw - did he graduate?]

Where did Teresa live during those years?

Didn't realize you knew Teresa and knew she could cry easily. You are faulting the grandmother of a child that goes missing because she cries? :rolleyes:Histrionic? Do you have a degree in psychology or just arm chair one?

What does Teresa working or not working have to do with Haleigh being missing?

Do you happen to know what the meaning of histronic? TN's tears I witnessed last eve seemed genuine to me. It's harder to fake a red face than tears.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval and inappropriate seductiveness, usually beginning in early adulthood. These individuals are lively, dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious. They may be inappropriately sexually provocative, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, and be easily influenced by others

That really sounds like Teresa, doesn't it?

I don't know what TN's job situation has to do with Haleigh going missing but I remember several conversations people have had about the video in which she had a LE jacket on and it was suggested she wore it because it was what she was going to wear for work. Guess not if she was not working then.
