Carpet, hair ties, socks and a trunk among wacky gifts the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge received on royal tour – find out more

Buckingham Palace has revealed all of the gifts that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge received while on their royal tour of Pakistan in October, plus William's solo visit to Kuwait and Oman in December, and some of them are sure to leave you surprised. When overseas in December, Prince William was given bottles of perfume, jars of nuts and even an axe! The royal also received some hair ties for his daughter, Princess Charlotte, and books for her and her older brother, Prince George, and younger brother Prince Louis.

In October in Pakistan, William received a trophy, a robe and a decorative stick, while Kate was gifted the likes of shawls, clutch bags and jewellery. As a couple, they were treated to a lamp, handwoven braids, a trunk, a carpet, and a pair of socks among other gifts.

As for George, his parents were given a cricket bat to pass on to him, as was Charlotte. Both were also given a jacket and Chitrali hat. Little Louis was also given a Chitrali hat, a cricket bat and a book.

Meghan Markle’s son Archie showered with weird and wonderful gifts including lederhosen and dungarees

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eleven-month-old son Archie is a lucky boy! Buckingham Palace has revealed all of the weird and wonderful gifts that Archie received during the family's royal tour of South Africa between September and October of last year. Among the presents was a pair of dungarees, two beaded bracelets from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, two pilot's shirts and a pilot logbook. The adorable tot was also given numerous children's books and soft toys in the shape of an elephant, monkey and rhinos.

What's more, parents Harry and Meghan also received many interesting gifts – and some of them might surprise you. For example, the couple were lucky enough to be given a framed oil painting from the Bo-Kaap Civil Association, not to mention a tea cosy, oven mittens and even an apron by one generous individual!

Meanwhile, during Prince Charles and Camilla's trip to Germany, which took place just a few days after Archie was born in May 2019, the royals were also presented with a tiny pair of brown leather lederhosen for Archie by the Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Soder. We'd love to see the tot in his mini lederhosen!

I would also love to see a photo of him in the lederhosen, he would look so cute,

Kate Middleton and Prince William make surprise appearance on The Big Night In with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a surprise appearance on BBC One's The Big Night In on Thursday night alongside their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The whole family joined in for the 'Clap for Carers' campaign following Prince William's appearance in a sketch alongside Stephen Fry.

William joined in on a video call from his Norfolk home and joked with the actor about missing EastEnders after asking him for TV show recommendations. Quite hilariously, the future king revealed that he tends to "avoid shows about royalty" when Stephen suggested he watch Netflix hit Tiger King.

Prince Charles and Camilla unite to cheer on NHS staff and key workers - VIDEO

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall united on Thursday night to cheer on NHS staff and key workers across the country by taking part in the "Clap for our Carers" campaign. It's the first time that the couple have done it publicly together since Prince Charles recovered from coronavirus, having tested positive for the life-threatening disease in March. Back then, they clapped from separate rooms as they self-isolated in different parts of their Scottish home.

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as they are officially known in Scotland, posted a video on their @ClarenceHouse Twitter account, showing them outside the front door of their home at Birkhall in Scotland. The couple, who recently celebrated their wedding anniversary, dressed similarly, in blue shirts, brown blazers, trousers and loafers.

Mark Stephens of Howard Kennedy has represented the likes of Princess Diana and Julian Assange. He told Newsweek not only will Meghan have to testify, but her anonymous friends may do too.

Stephens said: "There's a basic tenet of the law that if you attack somebody then they have the right to reply to that attack.

MM has a history of not doing well with being held accountable...

Oh, I would be SOOO happy for her if she were.

I'm not ignoring lovely Princess Beatrice's frustrating travail with the marriage.

Perhaps she should read the tea leaves and just plan on a summer wedding next year.
I really hope that will be possible for her. But imagine having to wait a full year longer when you had been only two months away.

Judge Rinder seems like a real muck up. Imagine that, a celebrity criticizing another person as an attention seeker when he himself is seeking attention from the other person’s difficulties. I doubt he knows them.
