Well, Im of the opinion all of the shots were done through the shower door. I know some feel there would be steam, etc. But my shower doors dont steam up and, because I keep them clean, the water tends to sheet off of them. If the camera were set to auto focus on TA, it would focus right through any drops on the door, since the depth of field would have been very small.
You could be right.
However, I, frankly, even hesitate to say, with certainty, that this shot was taken with a flash. Without seeing the originals, its hard to tell. All versions of this photo are brighter than the others but it definitely shows pixilation, where the highlights have been brought out of the shadows. Plus, youd THINK there would be a reflection of the flash in the glass if one had been used (because, again, I think the shower door was shut). As to drops frozen in time through the strobe-effect of the flash, a fast shutter speed could have the same result.
At any rate, without the originals and the techniques of a forensic photographic expert, we will probably never know
Kind of late to the discussion, but re bold - you might be right! I looked at the picture again (attached) and it does look like the water beads are on the glass... (hope it was okay to post this picture!?!)
