I'm getting a bit worried. There has been nothing earth shattering evidence wise so far .....

I thought a lot more questions would have been asked of the witnesses we have already seen and are finished.

Do the jury get copies of the witness statements as they were made at the time ?

If not how on earth are they going to know all the extra bits and pieces

 I appreciate the explanation. :sweep:

Nigel #badenclay: Allison's wardrobe was black, brown, cream, nothing bright. He says indication of a depressed person. @9NewsBrisbane

This would have to be the most stupid thing I've ever heard come out of a mans mouth. Maybe being a part of that family is why Allison was depressed. If that's the case then I'm depressed too.:banghead:

A very big 'Thank-you' to Amee and Mrs G Norris and any others for the tweets and commentary. Very much appreciated as we are being kept up to date. Thoughts with the Dickie and their families - you never deserved to have to go through all this. Justice for Allison and her babies.

Ok were on a lunch break. Just gotta love Mrs Dickie, she has soooooo much she wants to tell but isnt allowed to because technically it isnt relevant to the question as they keep having to bring her back on track. Suffice to say she stuck up for her daughter and I get the impression she doesn't like the bcs much. She had the room bursting with laughter at some of her answers and then in tears at one point regarding a photo that always stood on display but when they went to the house that day it was gone.

Thanks for sharing...nice insight

From day 3 of the trial....

12 June 2014

Gerard Baden-Clay's father Nigel was stopped by police when he tried to leave his son's home with a vacuum cleaner on the morning Allison Baden-Clay was reported missing, a court heard on Thursday.

Mr Baden-Clay Snr said his son, a real estate agent, told him he had promised to water the plants and vacuum the carpets for a friend whose house was up for sale.

'It was a Friday and traditionally on Saturday real estate gets busy with open houses,' he said.

Gerard Baden-Clay then told his father there was a vacuum and hose pipe his car, and asked him to run the errands for him, the court heard.

'He said "if you could do that, it would be a great help".'

Mr Baden-Clay said he took the vacuum and hose pipe and put them in his car but was stopped by police before he left the house.

'I was about to leave and go and do these little jobs and the police constable asked me to stay… and not to take the car,' he told court.

Not to take the car. Was that his car he was going to take or one of the other cars.

Can someone play devil's advocate and tell me a good reason why NBC was putting a vacuum in his vehicle that morning?

Would he not have gotten rid of it before calling the police if there was something incriminating about it? After Mrs Dickie's comment about the kitchen seeming sterile, I am thinking that GBC might have given the house a good tidy up during the night of the 19th, knowing that he would have to call the police in at some point the next day and trained, professional eyes would be making judgements.

But then again, he also missed a spot in the Captiva…

The vacuum was hiding in the prado before he was asked to take it away

I was coping --- until Marlybird's rose for Mrs Dickie. Half an hour earlier and I would have had to squirt myself in the eyes with Windex or something. Thankfully, when the rose turned up I was finally alone in the house, could grab tissues and mop up the stuff leaking from eyes and nose

Good for you, Mrs Dickie :-). You got some through the wire for Allison. The house wasn't the same. You sensed it, then you spotted a few things to validate your sixth sense. A mum knows. You're the genuine article and the jury would have picked that straight away. What a breath of fresh air you must have been for them. Allison got her fight from you

Nothing earth shattering??? Are you kidding?

The BC side have been painting a picture of a person with Clinical Depression. Depression at the time of her disappearance. Always hammering at the depression. It must have been depression because of the colour of the clothes Allison wore. (There you go, any psychiatrists out there, some brand new information that will help with your diagnosis of depression.)

Lots of subliminal messages being put forth. Along with lots of sly innuendos.

Priscilla Dickie AND Allison's best friend are painting the opposite picture completely. Plenty of transparency.

Control issues much?

Priscilla: had a few runins with Gerard early on - he was to bring up the children and not to interfere grandma. @9NewsBrisbane #badenclay

Every journalist puts a slightly different spin on the statements in court ..

Mrs Dickie: I couldn't believe it. He had a pin striped shirt and a tie. Cool as a cucumber. #badenclay

I'm seeing the control starting early. I'm seeing his narcissistic qualities here.

When you are depressed you don't give a sh.... about your physical appearance. A suicidal person doesn't get their hair done.
And one thing that confuses me is why are the BCs harping on about suicide. If Allison jumped off a bridge wouldn't the cause of death be obvious with bone damage etc? And if she overdosed on her medication, as they are trying to convince everyone, how did she get to the bridge?

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 48s

Olivia says Allison once confessed to her she'd been diagnosed with clinical depression. #badenclay

David Murray ‏@TheMurrayD 55s

Olivia: Allison confided she had depression and hadn't told her family. #badenclay

Well... isn't that convenient???? She didn't tell her family. Is that the argument when her family say she was fine?

Anyway, who the heck wouldn't be depressed and have anxiety having to live with the rubbish she lived with?

Do the BC's honestly think GBC played no part in however she felt!!!! Ofcourse they don't... they're all just as arrogant as each other.

I realise all of that but doesn't that just then put doubt in the jury's mind as to his guilt ?

We need something to 'make them think he did it' apart from a few scratches on his face.

Bwana car....NBC's

From Constable Ash's statement...

There was an older model silver Holden Statesman parked directly in front of the house facing down the driveway

29. Whilst still standing outside and at the bottom of the stairs, Gerard's father Nigel BADEN-CLAY then came down the stairs and went underneath the house and came back out with a vacuum cleaner and a green garden hose and began to load thse items into the rear boot of the Holden statesman

Has everything that's been heard so far considered hearsay? I looked it up but I'm still not sure.

Having the teacups out and asking Mrs. Dickie if she would like 'a cup of tea' sounds wickedly bad, almost insane, since it seems there might have been a cleaning marathon in the kitchen.
chilling

I think the BC's are doing a pretty good job of showing their true colours all by themselves. (Without any help from us!)
Give 'em enough rope ...

I wonder how they managed to pick a jury who was suitable? I mean with everything that has been written and shown on TV it comes across pretty obvious of his guilt, doesn't it?

I reckon the BC's still think he/they still have a good chance of getting away with it.
