I'm not familiar with all the details, just started following closely with the trial. I recall watching on GBC on tv news not long after Allison's body was found, and my mum and I looked at each other and went "guilty!" Nothing has ever convinced me otherwise. There's something really off about the Baden-Clay clan. I don't think the prosecution needs to do much to discredit them. If the jury are average people, I reckon they'll see right through NBC's arrogance and the digs at Allison. Seems to me that the prosecution has let them that dig hole for themselves.

Even odder, Gerard chooses as an extramarital romp a woman who is in the severest depression.. she 's in a bad defacto connection, she leaves this with her children, she collapses and howls and screams in a carpark when she is fired, she collapses again in front of Jocelyn Frost when she cannot cope with her days at another job, she is frightened , she is perpetually angry, she makes outrageous demands on him. You'd think with Gerards long experience of a 'depressed wife' that he would have run a mile from it..

But not a bit of it. he eagerly embraces it....

I've always thought of that as a narcissist + histrionic PD pairing (one of the classics)

While looking for a reference source for that, I stumbled over this http://www.waking-you-up.com/cluster-B.html which I thought might be useful - it describes how living with a narcissist (or similar) messes with your head and destroys your self-esteem, which fits rather well with what we've heard about Allison's marriage so far...
