Sounds good. I think LionRun has block 2..other than that I'd say just pick one and go with it as long as the others know which one you are working on it should be fine.

I'm okay with taking a block of 75 and then dividing up the remaining block if necessary.

Well, so much for that. I think I found Sheryl's daughter (born December 1975) in California. Back to the drawing board.

Oh well. But, the good thing is that it wasn't her, yet you found her in less than one day.

Lion

Yes, I am glad it wasn't her. But Princess Blue has to be somebody and I sure hope we can figure out who she is.

OK, I'm sending in my notification that I am going to take block # 6 on the spreadsheet because I know that nobody spoke for that one, lol

Wow, Julessleuther!
I can see why that one caught your eye...
thank you.

At least three of us have tried without success to find out how long bone marrow will be present and viable after someone dies and their body stays out in the open, in the particular climate of the Houston, TX area. We never got a definitive answer. However, in that climate with its heat and humidity, chances are the marrow would not have been viable had she been left out from 79 to 90, 11 years. We can't rule it out, but it unfortunately doubtful.

Also, the age is off. Princess Blue was determined to be 16-22 at TOD, and was actually more likely to be between 17-21(they added 1 year either way just in case). There are specific skeletal features to be seen when examining remains of someone that age. So the age would be off, probably by too much. I doubt this is Princess, but it is an excellent idea to check each one. This is ultimately how matches are often made. Thank you julessleuther:).

I know we haven't mentioned this in awhile, but I just wanted to let everyone know I am still trying SO HARD to get a good, lengthy article with factual forensic updates, the facial reproductions, and photos of the rings out about this case. IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN, and I think it will be better than we ever thought. So hang in there with me, and thanks for not sending the alumni letter out until this is all made public. There will be some of everyone's questions answered, I'm almost positive. ;)

Thank you to all of you who have helped put together spreadsheets and data for me in my absence. It is comforting to know that although busy, you have just jumped in to help me. Your kindness and warmth have shone through. I am grateful to you all! :blowkiss:

Okie dokie kids, here we go! :woohoo:

Those of you working on this case, it's time to start sleuthing. As sloane mentioned, we won't send out the alum letter just yet, but if each of you could log on to the forums at http://www.someoneknowsme.com
Choose a "block" of names and please post which block you are working on in that forum.

So far, Lion has Block 2 and RKnowley has Block 6.
I'll be happy to clear up names and take the "scraps", ;)

Forgive me for not being online and keeping up with everything lately. I've been rather busy and haven't had much time to spend at the computer. Trying to get all my ducks in a row as far as school, moving, etc. Not to mention fostering a new 4 week old kitten. It was orphaned a few days ago when it's mom (my boyfriend's kittie) got hit by a car. Out of sheer luck, the pregnant stray I took in about 5 weeks ago has 3 kittens that were born on the same day as the kitten I'm now fostering. Which means I have a cat who is nursing babies that are the same age. Thankfully I was able to introduce the new kitten to the other three and their mom. She accepted the new kitten almost immediately, and is nursing him (he has no name yet...any suggestions?). I'm also bottle feeding him because he doesn't seem to be nursing as much as he should. I won't need to for long, though, since all of the kittens will be starting on solid food in the next week or so.

And now back on topic... Which blocks of names haven't been taken? I can take block 3 if it hasn't been, just let me know. Also, if anyone is a member at any websites you have to pay to join, perhaps we can start a list of who has paid memberships to various sites. Then, if a site needs to be searched for any information, the person with a membership to that site can do a search.

Does anyone see anything on the Princess Blue MySpace page that should be edited?

I have the day off tomorrow, so I'll be able to finish catching up with everything. Take care!

awwww - a new kitty - how about Simba - who was also orphaned? Or, if that's too common these days - just go with something unique like darth vadar.......

romeo2.jpg

That's the baby. :] I think I'm going to name him Romeo because he's such a little love bug. And yes...he really is laying on my shoulder

How kind of you to take in the new kitty, Sable:). Another little creature who's life was saved and who will be loved and cared for. Romeo is a great name for a love sponge kitten!

OT: Falcon when back to the vet, and I am glad that what he had was only a puss pocket that needed to be drained. It was so nasty that I was hoping it was not his intestines that came through his abdominal wall. The area was initially drained as best as possible, and there is a drain now so it can heal better--from the inside out as it needs to. His appetite is excellent, and he is feeling better every day. He has gained back 6LB already!

His blood work is not normal, but it improves each time we test him. The problem was so massive that it will take a good amount of time for him to fully recover. He will need to stay on antibiotics for 4 more weeks. If all goes well he should be ready to get back into search and rescue in about 2 months!

Thanks friends for being so supportive through all of this.

Lion

Hi Lion, How is Falcon doing today? I hope his infection is going away?
Sable, how's the new kitty?

Romeo's doing well. I started him and the other 3 kittens on solid food a couple days ago. He's still smaller than the others, but I'm not too concerned because he doesn't seem to be having any problems.

I took one of the blocks on the spreadsheet...block 5 I believe...if someone else is working the same block, let me know. Also, someone (can't remember off the top of my head) was finding divorce records.... what site were you using? TIA

Good Morning all!
Not that there isn't enough research to be done already, but I was considering the adoption angle..and then Lion said she had thought of that as well already. What if a young mother (or couple) from REL put Princess Blue up for adoption back in the seventies and left the class ring behind to give to her as a momento from her parents? It's a stretch, I know, and it would put her age pretty young (14,15,16..?), but it's a possibility. A "zebra," I guess!

Thanks to all of you who can take the time to do the work with the yearbook...you guys are awesome!

Sable, the new kitty is so sweet...how kind of you to be a "cat mom!"
Lion, I'm so glad Falcon's reaction to the surgery was able to be taken care of...I'm sure it's due to what an attenive "mom" you are to him! He is a lucky boy! He seems to be improving amazingly well! I know you are so relieved.

Back to this case: Ginger Sutherland is almost 100% out of the running as far as being a match to THIS UID. Even after all this time, they are still actively working her case in TX and their leads point the investigators elsewhere. I'm not sure about the Blanca leads, is anyone else?
