Susan Boyle's debut record, "I Dreamed A Dream," entered the British album chart in the top spot Sunday. The 48-year-old Scottish songstress famously finished second on "Britain's Got Talent," but the variety show launched a career that has seen her win success on both sides of the Atlantic.

She was asked to "calm down" by airport officials in the VIP lounge after she grabbed a mop from a cleaner and started using it as a makeshift microphone. She then tried to polish fellow guests' shoes.
When airline officials intervened, Boyle ran out of the room shouting: "I've escaped, I've escaped."
This comes as no surprise to me, as I am also autistic. It explains a lot of things, and maybe why I felt such a deep empathy for her. I wish I had her gift, it is some compensation. Bless her always.
