Here again is one of the details in this case that has always stood out to me and has never - and continues not to - made any logical sense. There is absolutely no way that Misty could have known that the screen door was open, let alone propped open by a cement block unless she had approached the inner rear door when she initially noticed it open/ajar and looked more closely. She has never stated having done this in any of her numerous re-tellings of the events - she has never included walking to/toward that door and then, after closer inspection, noticing the screen door propped open... as being one of the steps that she took. That is, and continues to be, the biggest reason why I reject the legitimacy of this scenerio. JMHO -
The back door(s) and the storyline presented in this case is completely illogical. There were actually 2 doors, an outer screen door and an inner solid door. Notice in the image below that the screen door swings to the outside and away from anyone exiting through it, while the inner door swings to the inside and towards anyone exiting through it.
