We all know that finding Haleigh is the most crucial issue in this case. According to Dominick Pape, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agent in charge, "The real story is the recovery of Haleigh."

Where do you think that LE should look for Haleigh and why?

The 911 call was at 3:27. "They" called his mom first. She threw on her jeans and said she was surprised she didn't get a speeding ticket. Didn't care. She hoped LE would follow her. That's what she said.

It is still impossible to get dressed, get your keys, get in the car and drive 15 miles in three minutes. The "I hoped LE would follow me" sounds like a great one-liner they came up with much later on. The preciseness of the time (3:26, 3:27) stands out as odd to me. Saying something that exact and precise does not seem to fit with these folks at all.

There was recently an interview with experts on NPR about Mexican / American relationships relative to drug smuggling, kidnappings, crime, Mexican drug lords, etc. etc.

The experts were discussing the violence that comes up out of Mexico and how parts of the US, logically, the southern states, are most often effected by the violence and the drugs that are brought up here from Mexico. Specifically they named Texas and Florida as magnet states for the Mexican's to deal in drug trafficking. They talked about swat team style executions occcuring here in the states executed by Mexican drug lords, and how all the Mexican courts and police are infiltrated by Mexican underworld and drug lords.

Ok, I'm not saying that the parents are informants, but if they are involved somehow with informing, even if through a third or forth party, I wouldn't put it past these people to have come in and taken Haleigh as payback for cooperating with police.

If any of this is true, if one of the parents is informing or working with police, I believe Haleigh will never be found or recovered, she is probably buried in the desert between here and Mexico somewhere by now, and will never ever be found.

I also believe that the girlfriend did sleep through the home invasion and that she was lucky she was asleep, because if whoever took her thought there was a witness to the kidnapping, I don't think they would have hesitated for a second to have shot her and the boy without giving it even a second thought.

IMO, if it was a drug deal gone bad to teach RC a lesson.......both babies would be executed in their beds........
A SO would take a girl (if he likes them over boys) use her and throw her away any where.........like Westerfield did. And Haleigh would be found sooner.

IMO, I feel she was put in that dumpster, hidden and moved........maybe river? dogs hit dock also.........my gut says it is in the family of these people. IMO

I totally agree with you, AuburnJenn!

I could be wrong but what I "thought" I heard her say was that Ron called her when Misty was on the phone with 911.

I think that LE should continue to search as they are by starting with Haleigh's immediate neighborhood and branching outwards.

I think she's close to home. I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't found within a five mile radius of her home.

Why? Because no matter what my theory is, the bottom line is that logically whoever had a hand in her disappearence either knew Haleigh or knew Haleigh's immediate next of kin or caregiver.

LE has yet to rule out the adults that lived in the home with Haleigh. If we look at statistics then Haleigh could quite possibly be found nearby. If it was the male living in that home, then statistics show that she won't be found as close to home.

At this point, and as of today, even if LE has said that they are looking for a "live" Haleigh. In my mind, as of today, they will find a deceased Haleigh if they find her at all.

I honestly don't have a clue as to the WHO or the WHY, but I'm with passionflower as to the WHERE: the dumpster and then the river.

I don't think she will ever be found. Unless, the media stays on top of this case. Then we might find her remains. I think we have another Trenton Duckett on our hands. Just a feeling. But I'm usually wrong.

I am finding it difficult to understand, why NO SOLID CLUES have been found. We are not dealing with an area of the US, that is inundated with the criminal minds equalling Harvard Grads. I am not putting them down, I am educated and I couldn't pull off the "perfect crime" either.

I mean...come on...I just don't get it! It's not like LE was called 31 days after her disappearance! This is getting ridiculous...all of these sweet babies...disappearing...and not found! No clues...BS...there is ALWAYS at least 1 clue. If LE has one, they had better let it slip out, so it can be followed up on. Too many days have passed!

Sorry for the venting. BTW...I think a freaky relation is involved in her disappearance. Either a perv relative or a perv neighbor or perv "friend of the family":furious:

I don't think you have to be a criminal mastermind to know (most info about other cases on news 24/7) that if you can skew the time line, make LE believe the scene of the crime was somewhere it wasn't, clean up or wash evidence, or otherwise delay the investigation, it makes it more difficult to gather evidence and investigate the crime by LE.

also, most people have learned from other recent cases that if you stick to your story (no matter what) and there is no body found... it also causes the investigation to move slower.

Then at the very least the person who did this, would have to have common sense. Based on this family's disfunction and generations of criminal history (fact), I find that hard to believe.

Sorry to confuse the threads, everyone. :frown: I thought that brainstorming where Haleigh might be was a different issue from theories of what happened to her--I'm sure this messed up the flow of this thread.

You didn't confuse me Indigo and I followed your thread here :)

Interesting theories on where to look for Haleigh so far.

lol, I'd have to agree for the most part. Although those with criminal backgrounds tend to hang out with others who are criminals also - and who knows what info they've learned through the years??

just saying

At 17 I would NEVER be able to cover all of my tracks. I'm 42 now and still couldn't do it. Strangely enough I don't believe the immediate family is DIRECTLY "involved". Maybe neglegtful enough, where their ignorance or something may have allowed this to happen though, ie...not being home and leaving the door open.

I am sticking with the theory that someone close TO this family was involved. Therefore LE should have SOME sort of clue, as to who. Time for some leakage, so that person can start to sweat. OR at least HINT to knowing something.

well, I'm sure they knew plenty of people who were much more adept in criminal dealings then they were. I am on the fence as to what happened and by whom. I vacillate between foul play by Ron & Misty, or only Misty, or an acquaintance or family member abducting her.

We could only hope that there were many people involved. That would allow a larger pecentage for someone slipping up or turning on someone else. The sooner this family starts to turn on eachother, the sooner more info that's closer to the truth comes out. Like...not actually being home, and leaving the door open. THEN LE can trace facts and not fantasy.

I agree with you, there HAS to be ATLEAST ONE clue! I have heard MANY times that the perpetrator ALWAYS leaves behind something, like one single hair.. We shed on a regular basis, and unless the perpetrator was bald there HAS to be atleast ONE hair somewhere! I know finding that hair is tough, but a child is at stake here, and that ONE hair could being Haileigh home! NO AMOUNT of money can be too much to bring a child home!
