Yes I agree.

The little girl was left unharmed and the old dog was left unharmed.
A drug crazed meth head could of done it, but...
The whole house would have been ransacked inside and out.
Valuables would have been taken. They weren't.
There would have been no mercy given for the child or the dog either.

It troubles me about the evidence. Something had to have been left behind. Some type of evidence. JY is just not that smart, he had to have messed up inside that bedroom! Some clue left behind.
But that's the point ~ it was his bedroom so his DNA, fingerprints, footprints and so forth would be there. The only thing that would be evidence is if the fingerprints & footprints had blood on them but then there would be an arrest by now. Some drug junkies may not have harmed little Cassidy or the dog, but the whole house not being tossed tells me it wasn't an intruder. And LE has always said this wasn't a random crime and there were no signs of a break in. I hardly think Michelle would've let somebody into the house late at night through the front door.

Oh, ok ~ :slap: <--- me.

I'm not giving up, but it's really frustrating that someone can just clam up, not talk to LE and still be free to live his life as he wants ~ while Michelle and her unborn baby are in a cemetary. :(

OK, that's the spirit! We've all hung in there too long to throw the towel in now!
I DO believe JY will be arrested.

And, I can't wait for that day to come!

P.S. Now, I would never be smackin' on you, panthera! :blowkiss:

Yes, it was his bedroom, his house. So the fact that there is no foreign dna says alot. That in itself is a puzzle to me.
It seems that would be great grounds for an arrest. But that is too simple.
But, I know and you know that if it were a stranger that was the perp, then there would be some foreign dna, evidence found there, and evidently there wasn't.

So, back to 0!... And that points to JY, right straight at him!

Wonder what LE is waiting for, or rather what do they need to wrap this all up?

That does give me hope that his picture is going to be circulated around. Most people don't even know what he looks like since he's been in hiding for 9 months. Those posters should be at every stop along the route from house to house to where he was supposed to be that night.

I agree! They HAVE to be otherwise what's the point of the poster? They could have simply announced it on TV or the newspaper.

I'll give myself a little :slap: for almost throwing my hands up in the air here too. Sweetmop and RC - appreciate your positivity!

I have heard of other prosecutions with this exact theory--that there is no foreign DNA and no evidence pointing to anyone other than the spouse. I can't think of the case, but I believe that it was successfully prosecuted. I surely hope that is what LE is working towards.

I hope that the prosecution can also stage the scene with Michelle's accidents which happened along the way, i.e., boat accident and car accident. Let the jury decide if these are mere coincidences.

Thank Goodness! I began thinking I had dreamed about this, nan!
I too remember reading and/or hearing about just that. To me, that in itself is very very valuable in a murder case, finding NO foreign dna. You know that the perp HAD to have left his dna at and around the crime scene, and of course, he did! He just happens to live there too!

I'd love for LE to put out some sort of update on this case. You know and I know, plus the greater majority of all of us know, that the murderer is Jason Lynn Young. Realistically, who else could it be?

If I'd had the multiple accidents happen to me, as Michelle had previous to her murder, I sure would be having some fearful, questioning and doubting thoughts toward my husband. Wouldn't you?

I guess we'll just continue to hang in here and pray for an arrest to happen soon! It has to come sooner than later, now!

I watched a show on Perry March last night. It took le 10 years, but they finally got that s.o.b.!!

I don't think Jason Young has that long. I think he'll be checking in at the Greybar Hotel within 2 years, max.

I understand that JY has kept the baby, Cassidy, from MY's family. Does anyone know if they have filed for visitation? They do have rights as grandparents.

As far as I know, there's been no word on whether or not the Fishers have filed for visitation. Whether Jason likes it or not, it's really in Cassidy's best interest for him to allow visitation. It's in his best interest, too, if he wants his family to get custody after he's imprisoned. The family court judge won't look kindly on his refusal to let Cassidy have a relationship with her mother's family.

Great point, Scout. It is obvious, just from the little I have read on this case, that little Cassidy adored and missed her Aunt Meredith ("Aunt Mimi"). Being separated from her maternal grandparents (in addition to the trauma of losing her mama) for the past months can not have been healthy for her. Poor little angel!

Unfortunately in the state of NC, " legally " grandparents have no rights.
I can't understand JYs rational of dismissing Cassidy's maternal side of her family. He's just not very smart at all, is he? Not a smart move, I'd say.

And, please let's all say prayers for 'the murderer' of Michelle Fisher Young to lose his freedom he's so enjoying now, before 2017!

Thanks sweetmop! I feel so badly for Michelle's parents and family and especially little Cassidy. But I will keep a positive attitude and pray !! :)

I know what you're referring to but I can't think of the names involved either ~ and I'm hopeful that LE will be able to tie these "accidents" together along with the motives, absence of any "foreign" DNA/fingerprints in the house and that call to Michelle's sister to pick up the print-out. Maybe after the posters are circulated someone will remember seeing him where he wasn't supposed to be that night.

I had no idea that there were some states where grandparents don't have rights! Perhaps the Fishers could set a precedent?

You are SO right about JY not being very smart. The "pool-party" with the reporter & keeping Cassidy from her family will be scrutinized in a courtroom...and he will not fare well!

The "pool-party" with the reporter was a different case -- the guy who hunts and whose wife is "missing", I believe. Sorry, I can't remember the name.

I find it odd that people have been convicted with less evidence than there is here.

Lisa Stebic from Plainfield, Ill. another frustrating case where you just can't overlook the obvious. :(

I couldn't agree more. I am shocked that JY is still walking around a free man. What the h&ll are NC cops and dects waiting on? I'd say the DNA results were back a long time ago.

I can totally understand the mix up though. All these wonderful, innocent husbands seem to have the same M.O: Murder your wife, then hide like a coward. :loser:

Isn't that the truth, Taximom. Different names, different faces, different circumstances, different places. But, really, one and the same.

:blushing:  <---A.R.

Silly me...I get them all mixed up! Thanks, Scout and Strach for setting me straight...and Taximom for making me feel a little better about my goof up! :D
