PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Thought this was cleared up, but have had an inquiry.

If you reference a site but the link is not allowed-then you can't use the site as a reference.

if you cannot link it you cannot post it.

There are some sites that are blocked **** and so those are obvious. But you cannot circumvent the block by posting the information and not posting the link!

If you cannot link it you cannot post it.

We don't block every site that we may have issues with. Sometimes it is up to moderator discretion as to whether a site is allowed. When I say moderator discretion I don't mean they just decide if they like it or not LOL. Sometimes there are escalating issues with a site-not to the degree we would block it,but it may not be allowed for a particular case. Typically the mods bring the questionable sites to administrators or owners and a decision is made as to whether it is ok to link for any given case.

Thanks, JBean. Does that also apply to things that don't come from a site, but are simply told to a member by someone? There is nothing to link, so is that also not allowed to be posted?

That is the scenario I'm confused about, because those kinds of posts - from unverified people - are being let stand.

I guess the question is - are we trying to avoid rumor or are we trying to avoid linking to banned sites?

TIA

I'm not a gambler.. Tennesse has a Lottery, but I have never ever purchased a lottery ticket..
My husband used to place bets on Football, the Kentucky Derby, World Series, and Bowl Games, from time to time, but to my knowledge it was never a large sum of money. I do recall hearing stories about several 'bookies' in the Chattanooga area though, so there has to be some gambling going on here in Choo Choo Town..

I wasn't even aware of there being any Casinos in Chattanooga, but the link posted below claims there are several hotels here in the city that do provide gambling...

ETA...
I have always thought Casinos had to be on the water or on an Indian Reservation. Live and Learn...JMHO

If you are going to Tennessee just for gambling it is good to know that the most number of casinos are in city of Chattanooga. There are some casino hotels in Chattanooga which are very nice for its visit and stay. Chattanooga is a well known travel destination, but people who enjoy playing casino games and traveling, mostly know about this town. Chattanooga is located in the southern east part of Tennessee near the border of Georgia. While you are in this lovely town you can visit Tennessee Aquarium, the African American Museum and Civil War Battlefield sites.

What??? I've never heard of that in Chattanooga! I'm not sure that's true - and in fact, when I did a google search for casinos in Chattanooga, all I got was an amusement company that made slot machines.

Used to be people would try to put poker machines in their restaurants and the police would come and haul them away.

I thought the nearest place to gamble was Cherokee, NC, on the Res.

There are certainly bookies and sports gambling, but all under the radar.

Most gambling here is of the "Fantasy Football" variety.

There's gambling in Memphis, but only on Riverboats in the Mississippi River.

Alabama has gambling because it has dog and horse tracks. But other gambling would have to be backroom.

I never heard of Casinos here in Chattanooga either and like you, thought Cherokee, NC was the closest place around here to go and gamble.. I do know some people from this area go to Tunica, Miss to gamble.

ETA...The article mentions the Casino is located in an Americas Best Value Inn located near Hamilton Place Mall and The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. The article goes on to say. ....The rooms are nice and good equipped and the casino is perfect ..

The article below is dated Tuesday June 7, 2011.. According to Davis' statement he was terminated by letter on Monday, June 6, 2011..

Do we know IF he was actually terminated before he received the letter? According to the link you posted he changed his number about three weeks before he ever received the letter of termination from BCBS...

I did hear (from what I would refer to as a very reliable source) he was required to pay back BCBS the money the company had spent for him to attend the conference he never attended...

Matthew Palmgren was let go from his job Monday afternoon through a letter, said Lee Davis, a defense attorney, who is representing Palmgren.http://timesfreepress.com/news/2011/jun/07/chattanooga-husband-missing-woman-fired-bluecross-/?news

Hi, all-JBean asked me to post something regarding the statement I highlighted in red. This information was from a relative of a local, and there is no way to confirm it as fact at this time, but feel free to give it the weight that you choose. JBean would prefer that people take it or leave it-it should not become a talking point.

In other words, file it away as additional information if you want too. :)

MM's business is Tellico Resolution Group, Inc based out of 8358 Iris Rd, Chattanooga- is that correct?

I'm not seeing all the stuff Matt was supposed to have put in the documents about Gail being severely mentally ill and psychotic and all that stuff.

In the police report from 4/29, it states that Gail was to take the kids to the lake house for ONE night.

Very interesting.

It also states in the police report of 5/2 that Matt P was concerned for his wife's safety due to her psychotropic drugs for depression.

Diane N filed her report at 10:30AM and Matt P filed in the afternoon, correct?

Why didnt Matt P or Arlene D know one had already been filed? Wouldnt Diane N have checked with Arlene D before filing it? Arlene D says her calls were the motivation for Matt P to file one, correct? ETA: So PD was dispatched to the home and found it locked. I wonder when they got in touch with Matt? Did Diane N give PD his phone number?

Oh, but did he change his phone number when he took the kids to get phones...

Diane N knew about Gail's life and she was the recipient of the phone calls from Gail on 4/30 iirc. Perhaps Diane N did call Arlene D on 4/30 and 5/1 to check and see if Gail was with her, but I dont recall hearing that or reading it.

- Yeah but where are all the statements from Matt that Gail was seriously mentally ill and psychotic and all that?

- Diane didn't file a missing person report. She called and asked for a wellness check.

- I haven't heard about Diane contacting anyone until 5/2.

- I'm perplexed about why it's been kept secret that Gail agreed to go to the lake house for one night, and it's been made into this huge horrible nefarious mystery why she came back, when it's plain and simple. She came back because she agreed with LE she'd only be gone one night.

Arlene claims to have the police reports. She claimed to have been reading from them in the Jammer interview. Why in God's name then would she keep it hidden that Gail agreed with LE to be gone for only one night, and make it into a huge deal that Gail came back.

What do you all think about Gail's sister Diane pleading in interviews for Gail to please show herself/return? I remember reading early on that Diane learned things about Gail and MP that she hadn't known before.

Do you think she could know something that leads her to believe Gail IS out there? Or is this just a general plea, so MP doesn't think she's looking at him?

Yes, I very definitely think that both Diane and LE have information that indicates Gail left on her own, willingly. I would not be the least bit surprised if others also have similar information. I've heard it myself.

BBM: I'm not sure, BeanE.

There's no such thing as an 'agreement' with LE (that I know of, anyway) regarding children or domestic issues, without a court order; either family court or criminal court. :waitasec:

Anyone could say they'll return in a day to their primary residence to LE... one doesn't have to justify returning to their home.. And because no custodial or separation/divorce had been filed at that point... wouldn't that argument be the same as Matt's- filing for custody of children after a parent is missing for a short period of time without any cause..??

I mean- both Matt and Gail have all parental rights, imvho. They are not divorced, they are not separated, neither had filed for divorce or separation.

So where does this leave us??
There would be no worry if Gail decided to stay in AL more than a night.
Nor would there be any worry if Matt decided to take the kids out of state now.

I am PERPLEXED.

I wonder again- what is going on here???

Why is report # 11-00788 dated April 28, 2011 when the incident occurred on April 29, 2011?

IDK but IMO something is amiss with that report... Hinky as far as I am concerned....To me ,looks like another name may have been redacted, information erased....JMHO

I certainly didn't think I'd implied I thought there was some kind of legal agreement. She agreed with LE she'd go to the lake house for one night, and she did. That mystery is solved.

And no, I can't see any correlation between that and custody. :waitasec:

IMO Gail did not leave on her own, however I agree there are some who are saying she did..I suspect they are listening to what MP would like for the Signal Mtn community and the people in the Chattanooga area to believe...JMHO..
