I have never heard that the grandparents live in the house with them. The grandparents (Joe's parents) live nearby, I think. (At least in Dickson County, I think.) Eta this is the impression I get anyway. I don't know for sure.

I think the dogs were hungry, but "starved" is an overstatement. There is a video of them (post rescue). By "starved", I was imagining emaciated animals, these are not.

It's known whose dogs they were because they dropped them off in front of a kennel. Someone saw per media accounts.

They were dumped the night of April 1.

Eta, article with video about dogs

I don't see anything in the article or any other about them being dropped off in front of a Kennel. It says they were allegedly dropped off 9 miles away on the same road they lived on. Davis stated that she "thinks they drove up and dropped them off". They are still actively searching for the property the dogs were "dropped" on. The dogs were confirmed to be the Daniel's by neighbors and family.

If no one saw them dropped off then how do they know the dogs didnt just get out and run off? Would little Joe have gotten to missing them so much he would go looking for them?

^^ It didn't look like this was going to show up when I hit submit. This was a FB Live but it has since expired so there is no link for it. I caught part of it but it came through a little glitchy. He said they are continuing the search today. *IF* I heard him correctly, it sounded like this may be the last search as they are moving on to other investigative tactics.

It is believed Baby Joe was killed sometime between the night of April 3 to the early morning hours of April 4.

The department listed seventeen roads where it wanted surveillance video.

Sheriff Bledsoe told News 2 that they have received video from those areas and that their investigators are reviewing it.

Same link as above post.

I sure hope something shows up in a video from one of those 17 roads to give a clue of where Baby Joe might have been placed. jmo

3 little boys ( many other too, just our more recent boys) are still missing. This is insane.

I can only get comfort in knowing they are probably all playing together. Big smiles and glorious laughter. Bring home Jr, Joe and Lucas.

Just to clarify I haven’t seen any links that say the dogs were “starving”

This article & video ^ says the dogs were very skinny and covered in fleas and ticks.

As a result they were probably extremely wormy, imo:

http://www.parasiteparty.com/en/dogs/parasites

If worms were treated and they received high quality nutrition their weight, coat and overall health started to improve rapidly I’m sure; especially if they are youngish dogs.

They still look pretty slender and have quite an abdominal tuck.

Just imo

"Law enforcement did not search for baby Joe on Thursday saying that they are juggling searches and preparing for the states case against Baby Joe's father and mother.

However, they are staying near the Daniels' home. Bledsoe says they believe Baby Joe is near the home. "

Why the shift in the search perimeters????

Perhaps LE has already seen some evidence in the home surveillance video given to them by the locals?

Something certainly set a fire in them. Last night Jerry Barlars (wkrn) face book feed appeared to post servailance videos but then they were taken down. All the links are now gone. The very next morning the search is back on hot and heavy and the search has now shifted back around the area of the Daniel's home...

"Baby Joe's Grandmother: They Need To Quit Being Stingy and tell where Baby Joe's body is at.

I spoke at length yesterday with Joe Clyde Daniel's maternal grandmother, Lori Nolan-Huff, the mother of Krystal Daniels.

She told me that Krystal had called her the day of the disappearance and that Joe Clyde had "unlocked the padlock" and gotten out of the house. At the time of that call authorities were already at the home.

I learned about Krystal's younger years. The family lived in east Tn and moved from Sevierville to the Knoxville area in search of work. At some point Krystal and her two siblings lived with a family friend. DCS did become involved...."

Beautiful day in Middle Tennessee today. Praying it is the day little Joe is found.

About a dozen members with the Dickson County Sheriff's Office resumed the recovery effort after two days of resting and further planning.
...
The focus has always been around the Garners Creek Road area, where the Daniels home is located.

"We're trying to expand where we were originally. We're looking at where we've been on our map and what we've already had in place, and we're building outside of those areas," said Bledsoe.

Since requesting for surveillance videos from residents who live in the Tennessee City area, the sheriff has reviewed at least four of them.

Speculation: any possibility the dogs killed him, and that’s why the adults dumped the dogs?

What if the turn in the investigation was so quick that LE missed looking somewhere so simple? They got so caught up in searching where Joseph Daniel's told them to look that they missed something closer to the house??

What if when Joseph Ray Daniel's confessed it was because they confronted him with the knowledge that they knew Joseph died in the house, that it would be better for him to tell his side of the story now. He tells them what happened in great detail. Then when he is done they ask him where is his body and it's at that moment that even he is surprised that they haven't found his body? Thats when he says he took him to a rural location. Perhaps to throw them off?? But to assume they must have found his body before he confessed then he must have put little Joe somewhere where easier to find than we all think? Maybe were over thinking it and that's why they missed it?

If the cadaver dogs picked up a scent inside the house, maybe the scent isn't coming from the floor, maybe it's coming from underneath the floor? The house looks like a double sided trailer. Could he have buried Joe in the crawl space underneath the house???

But why wouldn't he just say that rather than what he did say? He could potentially face the death penalty for what he confessed.

I think the proximity in time to the dogs being dumped (4/1) and Joe being killed (4/3?) Is significant. But, I can't find a media report that says whether or not Joe attended school 4/2.

Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe
put out a call Tuesday for footage from homeowners on 17 roads near the Daniels' Tennessee City home, particularly from people who have cameras facing the road. Even as they prepare the case against Joe Clyde's parents, the department is reviewing that footage and continuing to search for the little boy's body.

If they are just convinced it was the father they may have better luck getting location info from their cell carrier. People think turning off their location of the phones means they cant be tracked. Not so, it just means your apps can't track you. That information still goes to your carrier when your connected to the network. They would need a supeoena but those records would still be obtainable. Use the data to Triangulate their location on the night Joe disappeared. If they have a newer vehicle there is a pretty good chance they have a telematics system. They save all sorts of information that could track movement...

Maybe he knew the dogs would be able to smell little Joe somewhere close by. Dogs are like that. Especially if they like someone. So he dumped dogs.

So that suggest premeditation. If that was the case why not just kill the dogs and bury them on the property?

Joseph Ray had recently quite his job. The SPCA said the dogs showed signs of being abused but really only specified the animals behavior to suggest that they were abused. I suppose a dog who has not been abused can still be timid towards a stranger. I think the dogs were definitely neglected but as far as beaten I don't know. With Joseph Ray being out of work, money would have been tight, feeding the dogs and paying flea and tick treatments could have been a burden. Dumping the dogs certainly indicates some stress on the family. I wonder if he lost his health insurance and this coverage for Joe Clyde. He's autistic, Speech, OT, PT, ABA all these things cost money and a lot of it. Could money issues have led to Little Joe's murder?
