This is a picture of the intersection of Thompson Lane and Nolensville Rd in 1961. In this picture you are looking east down Thompson Lane and Nolensville Rd crosses from north to south if you were taking this picture, you would be just about be standing at the end of the alley where it comes out at Thompson Lane and the Krispy Kreme would be over your left shoulder and the skating rink over your right shoulder about 100 yards away. Kathy would have come south or in this case from the left in this picture the Gulf gas station on the right was called Flate Rock Gulf

This picture was taken in 1971 of the Thompson La and Nolensville Rd intersection the Krispy Kreme and alley would be to the left about 60 yards away and that is Colman Park on the right of the intersection and Flat Rock Gulf would behind you if you would have been the one taken the picture. Kathy would be walking south on Nolensville Rd towards the intersection from Lutie St. As you can see in this post and my previous post you can see lots of street lighting and side walks
