My gut is telling me that this poor little baby was sold and that grandma may have had a hand in it, arranged it or split the profits! Grandma is a teacher :eek: I hope LE checks bank accounts, currency exchanges, recent spending habits, etc. Where is the Lauryn's brother?

(Memphis 09/24/2010) A first court appearance is held for the teenage mother facing charges related to the disappearance of her infant daughter.

19-year-old Shakara Dickens is being held on a $2 million bond.

Police say she's sticking to her story that she gave the baby to a stranger on September 7th even though she didn't report her missing until a week later.


While authorities search for the baby, who would have turned 10 months old today, sources say they wish little Lauryn's family was cooperating more.

For the second day in a row we've obtained a search warrant in the case.

This one details a search of the maternal grandmother's home and what police found there.

Yes, I believe. Good point. I was just thinking out loud. The grandmother has some involvement, somehow, someway, imo. :waitasec: Where is the brother? It could be a scent from him, I hate to say.

IMHO, although LE hasn't stated that GMA isn't co-operating, it can be assumed by the reports that she refused to meet LE in the principal's office when they requested to speak to her after they showed up at the school to take her car.

When I read the article (egg throwing incident) the reporter says that the GMA won't give a statement about the little boy.

I take that to mean that GMA isn't telling reporters at this time. LE more than likely knows because IMHO----if this child were missing---LE would give out that info too and give details about him in order to find him. All JMHO.

As for the alert by cadaver dogs, IMHO it was about Lauryn.

I tried to watch most of our local news today but there were no new developments and most of the newscasts were abbreviated because of football. I think LE is waiting for the DNA testing to come back from what they think might be human decomp.

If you follow the facebook "trail" from SD, you'll see that the little brother is with his father,which is not the same father of Lauryn.
Wether or not he's "safe" in his environment is questionable. This is only my opinion. Im sure your opinion will be identical to mine once you read comments from her "friends" on facebook.
This is beyond sad and I can imagine for every one published there must be hundreds more.:furious:

I wonder if the grandma is another CA or if she is the one that did something to the baby,,,, she said she couldnt afford to take the baby, I wonder if grandma sold her, and daughter is covering for grandma.

MEMPHIS, TN— The mother of a missing baby remains in jail on $2 million bond.

Shakara Dickens made her first court appearance Friday, September 24, 2010 on charges of aggravated child abuse and filing a false report.

Ten-month-old Lauryn Dickens was last seen alive on Labor Day. Nine days later she was reported missing to police. Dickens told police she gave the baby to an unknown white woman.

“We can’t confirm anything the way she is saying it is. She has been all over the board with different stories,” said Memphis Police Director, Larry Godwin. “I really believe and feel the child has suffered bodily harm.”

Homicide detectives are conducting the investigation. Evidence has been collected from Dicken’s apartment. According to a search warrant, cadaver dogs turned up the scent of human remains at her apartment.

“We submitted samples from the house and hopefully there will be some DNA when it comes back,” said Godwin about the evidence collected.

That high bail tells me LE (prosecutors) believes she's done something horrible to Lauryn...JMHO

That is mightly steep bail for aggravated child abuse and filing a false report.

They must have been able to convince the judge that other charges will more than likely be forthcoming?

2 Mil.....dern.

JMHO.

Aww Lauryn. There are so many people that can't have children who ache for a child to hold and call their own. Why couldn't her Mom just let someone adopt her? Legally. (remember Sylar).

Yeah, I understand what you are saying. I try to stay positive too.

But, as soon as I heard about the dumpster in Haleigh's case, I knew in my heart she was dead. Same as the "smell" GA and CA said was in the trunk in Caylee's case.

If the cadaver dogs hit on something down the street, I may be able to be more positive. But it was at the home. And nobody is telling the truth or working with LE. HINKY

I hate to say it, but I believe this precious baby is gone.
I hope I'm wrong.
