Idk I've wondered if it was a suspicious death? Like maybe a car wreck due to "faulty breaks" or something like that since her tire wasn't just flat, it was slashed. From what I know, someone had to be pretty pissed at someone else to slash their tire(s). Like an ex boyfriend or a crush or maybe someone was stalking her.

The thoughts & opinions stated above are that, MY random thoughts & opinions.

This was on Greeneville, TN WGRV news radio station's website this morning. As a women, living in Greeneville I am very scared that we have a predator hunting females in our area. http://internetnewsroom.com/wgrv/

From your link (the headline is actually on the right sidebar that says "Several Missing Women Reported In Area Counties"

In Morristown, police are searching for 24-year-old Inesha Nicole Haygood, who walked away from her house on the morning of December 28. Investigators may have found some of her clothing in a field, and she was last seen riding in a vehicle with an unknown man.

Yeah, that's not disturbing at all. :notgood: Is there a thread for Inesha here? Going to check...

This is a very remote area of the county. If this is related to Ms. Costner, someone knows the area. You don't accidentally find yourself that high up the mountain, needing to dispose of a body. The Greene County Sheriff's Department is being very tight-lipped on this one; the TBI was called in right away. I believe this is our relatively new sheriff's first mystery deceased persons case. The location is about 15 miles E/SE of our house, about 25 miles from Cosby, where her vehicle was found. This distance is accurate if whomever was driving stayed off the interstates.

Her husband died on January 8, 2012 at the age of 35. No cause of death listed in the obituary.

Lora disappeared one-day short of the fourth anniversary. I doubt they are related, but how terrible for her two children.

I hate it when the missing person's vehicle is located but the person is nowhere to be found. :notgood:

This raises concern to me that this was a purposeful disappearance or suicide. I'm very sorry to suspect that. Disappearing on the anniversary of a spouse's death is quite a coincidence. She could've slashed her own tires and sent the text so that someone would be looking out for her son after school and it would buy her some time in doing whatever she needed to do.

I hope she simply had to get away from some time alone. I also hope LE is searching trees in the area, not just the ground.

Lora, I hope you are found soon. You are missed.

Lora is aged 42 today. Someone said here, that he thought she met someone on a singles line called pof? He also said a lot of wierd strange people on that line....but caveats with the fact he isn't sure either.

Someone may have pulled over to help her after she got the flat tire........and took advantage of the situation. Another creep out trolling around looking for a damsel in distress. 6 weeks in and no sign of her.........this can't end well.

She also seems recently single as of NY based on a meme she posted.
Along the lines of who else is ringing in 2016 single?
It appears she was dating someone late summer they broke up and she started dating someone new in Sept. But then possibly single in Jan. ( could just be a random meme she posted)
I hope these men hVe been spoken to. Not saying they are to be involved. Just saying. She appears to be a very loving mother and devoted to her son. I'm assuming her daughter is off at school? This seems very suspicious to me.

on the Find Lora FB site, someone said (the comment is still there from 2/18) that he saw Lora on a singles line called pof. I found this, in Tennessee. So there is such a place. The commenter said, her family needs to look into it, because if its true, its full of crazy people, (so he said):

I fear the very worse occurred with Lora, trusting the wrong guy. But of course, I hope I'm wrong.

No new info, but a new article about Lora, reward to be offered for info:

From http://wate.com/2016/02/29/cocke-county-da-requests-10k-reward-for-missing-cocke-county-woman/

[snipped]
To help with the investigation Cocke County District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn is requesting a $10,000 or more reward from the Governor Bill Haslam’s officer for anyone who has information about where Costner is. Dunn said he expects to hear from Haslam’s office by Monday.

Even though the reward money has not been secured yet, Costner’s family said they are grateful. “I’m hoping that someone will realize that $10,000 is a lot of money and if they know something they’ll turn them in,” said Joyce Hale, Costner’s older sister. “Somebody knows exactly where she is and what happened.”

This is from the now updated article that I linked to above.

"A law enforcement source confirmed to The Plain Talk on Friday morning that the body found on Thursday was that of a female.
While no official identification of the remains has been made, multiple sources say the body is likely that of Lora Elizabeth Hale Costner. Costner, 42, was reported missing by her family on Thursday, Jan. 7."
