I'm still unclear of who notified the MCSO if the school counselor d the kissing allegations were unfounded? Did I miss that somewhere?

ET and TC both denied that it had happened and I guess they believed them.

Another student told the school she had seen them kiss. They questioned Elizabeth and she said it didn't happen, Tad said it didn't happen. Elizabeth was removed from his class and Tad was told to have no further contact with her. He continued to allow her in his room and meet with her between classes. He was again reported by another teacher and suspended for insubordination (not for the kiss). After he kidnapped Elizabeth he was finally fired.

I'm increasingly worried a desperate man with an unhealthy obsession and a gun is travelling alone because it's faster and easier, especially if she was pulling away and avoiding him. In other words, he may have either left her in a remote area to find her own way back and she needs to be found quickly or he killed her.
It does seem like he has nothing to lose. He has to realize when they got caught he would be in loads of trouble. He knew if nothing else crossing state lines with a minor is kidnapping

Couldn't agree more! His adult children and grandchildren are victims as well. So so sad.

I so wish his adult kids would plead for him publicly to do the right thing.

Lets face it: he probably knows his wife is going to divorce him and probably holds no emotional ties to her making her pleading not very effective. But his kids? Those are his flesh and blood. And a dad wants to remain the hero in their eyes. I wonder if the kids pleading would strike a chord with him? If I were in his shoes, my soon to be ex-wife pleading would not effect me one bit. But my kids? If anyone could break me, it would be my kids pleading me to come home.

I really don't think his wife had any idea at all. He was literally living two lives.

I think she knew something... at least had a feeling. I think lots of people did. However the more I hear about the lies and manipulations by TC I kind of get why no one cried foul before.

If TC was the master manipulator he is appearing to be, then I imagine he was a master at the gas lighting technique. Basically if someone voiced a concern toward him he would turn it back on them to make them feel like the guilty one. You can see that in his response to the student that confronted him and the school when they asked him about kissing ET. ~ We are best friends it is a father daughter thing (as in saying you are the one perverting a pure relationship) , we both suffered through abuse (as if saying you are the one trying to hurt ET). The thing is the more time you spend a person like this the more you start to believe them that you are the one in the wrong. The more time you spend with a person like this the more foggy the truth becomes.

Also not everyone learns to trust their gut so sometimes we Gaslight ourselves. I think it is highly possible people might have suspected something off about TC but they couldn't put their finger on it. Since no one else was making a stink about it well that made it easier for them to write it off as just their imagination.

This is just my opinion and I can be totally wrong. I have been in situations where I get vibes or warning bells off of people and they have been true. I listen carefully to these warning bells now as it feels important but so many people have been taught not to listen to that warning going off in them so it doesn't surprise me when something like this happens.

But saying all this to say at this point it doesn't really matter. Whether anyone knew or not it is too late. Now we can only focus on where are they and getting ET home safe.

I think she would have contacted someone by now. I hope when LE gets closer to their whereabouts he does not put her in a hostage situation. He's definitely come unhinged look at his most recent photos he looks unruly not groomed.

I think they're still in that area as well. I know we can't sleuth family members or friends, but maybe LE has been able to determine if any of TC's relatives or people he knew from church own or rent out any property around there that might be somewhat isolated. I don't think he just got her in the car and started driving. He knew ahead of time where they were going to end up, and he may have even stocked the place with food and necessities ahead of time.
LE has stated that neither TC or ET gave any ties to the Decatur area but I do think they dug in there. Why else did he look for work?

If my dad ever did anything like this to my mom, he wouldn't want to hear what I would say...I'd probably tell him to not bother coming back home.

I have been too afraid to admit it until now. Don't beat me up. But no tips, no news, no pings, mean its likely already over. He ended it days ago.

I'm afraid of this too. Narcissists are not known for going down easy though, so there's still hope imo.

True - but if it meant a 15 year old girl was brought home safely- I would lie through my teeth.

But who reported it to he sheriffs office to cause them to open an investigation?

Maybe his kids are the key...I wonder if there are any places in the area where he used to take them when they were teenagers? Did they go camping and fishing? I'm sure LE has already picked their brains.

An old link, yet a refresher for folks catching up on were she worked, and how they met according to this article.

Thomas, a freshman who worked at Chick-fil-A in Columbia, and Cummins met through HOSA, a school club that promotes careers in the health industry. Thomas was the HOSA sponsor at Culleoka. There are about 70 students in Culleoka's freshman class.

After a student reported seeing Thomas and Cummins kissing at school, he was escorted out of the school by law enforcement, a source told the newspaper.

Is the bolded part correct? I don't remember reading this before.

The father did when he found out.

No, LE came to the father first. Dad had his suspicions, but did not know of the kiss. LE told him & that is why the school is in so much *****. They should have told him but did not.
