ETA: Well wait, maybe I'm making an assumption based on unclear wording. :gaah: My brain is fried.

Yeah still don't know who involved them, even the mom of the child could have called them.

Still an issue for me, the school didn't contact ET's father immediately. If it were me and my child and all that happened and I found out a week later, I would probably need bail money and a good lawyer.

No, many other things have been said about this child on this forum , things that have a very condemning tone and place a lot of blame on her based on hearsay. THAT is where I become concerned.

I'm wondering if there is any possibility that TC encouraged the friend to take ET and was very afraid of what he would do if he found out that she brought her back home. Just putting that out there. Sometimes there are reasons for appears to not cooperate. The friend may have more info and with a perp out there with 2 guns, well everyone needs to be careful. Hopefully LE knows more info from her.

Yes. It's been shared a few times in these threads. She recounted she and Tad talked a lot and that once he kicked kids out of class, but then told her she could stay (after they left).

She also said they were close and that he teared up when they hugged to say goodbye when she moved with her family.

She said there was no sexual contact or other inappropriateness, but looking back, it now concerned her and her mom enough to bring it up.

It's not hearsay, it's in an interview with Whatley, the family attorney. I'm still putting sources in, but you can listen to the full interview in the podcast. Her sister was also asked to verify the information and she said it was correct. As to why the child dropped her off anyway, I believe it was said it was because she was running late for work. It was also said that she was originally questioned by LE and gave her account, but has since refused to answer any further questions. There's no blame, it's just further evidence that ET didn't go willingly, along with the guns and the hiding from him at work, it paints a picture of coercion. No one is blaming the other child for not turning around and taking ET back to her home, it just rounds out the picture. Just like no one is blaming the child who saw them kissing for waiting a day to report it. It's just facts.

I wasn't referring to that. I was referring specifically to several posts saying that this child refused to wear a green ribbon because she supports TC, and that she's helping them, and that she must be involved in some way because she's not cooperating, etc. etc.

But, I'm not a mod, I am just a poster, so if those types of posts are allowed to stand, then I assume they are within the forum rules and the fact that I personally take issue with them is just tough cookies.

Hmmm.. Just noticed in that article that Deputies talked to kids. But there is nothing in the school paperwork that LE was involved. Another article also said LE contacted the school. I've seen so much conflicting info in the media about this. One CBS article even said the AA went out on the 15th and that is incorrect. I got it on the 14th.

This is a good sign that at least they involved law enforcement. This may have been what convinced Tad they were on to him too and triggered him to start plotting to skip town.

I can't believe we don't have any better more recent photos of him... is there no cameras in the school, no yearbook club photos of him? Kids carry phones and take pictures at school all the time... why can't we get better photos?

I just hope that if ET is having respiratory problems from seasonal allergies that TC will actually get her the help she needs and not be an egomaniac who thinks he can handle this himself. Didn't TC have previous medical experience as a respiratory therapist? Even if he did, my daughter has asthma and I know from personal experience that you can't do a whole lot of respiratory therapy if you don't have the medications for the treatment.

I was thinking that was Destiny. I thought Kat was talking about a girl that talked about going to church at his church and she was leaving or moving and they almost cried and he said don't let anyone think you aren't beautiful.

Maybe I'm just "old," but there is no way ET looks over the age of 17 or 18 to me. She looks every bit of her age. And as someone who is 35-40 myself, there is no way TC could pass for 35, not unless he was gaunt from drug use or something which he is most definitely not. Jmo

Yes, especially if she is only 5' tall. That is quite tiny. I know that many adult women are short (Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga, and many others), but they tend to look younger longer. At over 15 1/2, ET is finished growing, height-wise, too.

Out of all the cases I've been involved with on WS, this is probably the most frustrating for me, because I feel like we are all just spinning our wheels here. We've sleuthed and come up with nothing that hasn't already been reported by msm. We've tried to help by plastering posters, bombarding social media, alerting truckers, SAR sites, endangered children sites, businesses in areas where we know TC has shown interest or visited...and still, nothing.

I'm at a loss as to what else we can do here. Anyone have any new suggestions?

It's those little details that make me think of this a little differently. That he was only 19 when he married, why? He not only told students he was CIA, he also told them he traveled on secret missions. ET told the students who told the school he had kissed ET.

I don't believe there was any reference to that friend refusing to wear a green ribbon, there was a reference to the sister asking people to wear them or asking if they want them (she can clarify) and being told that people (no one in particular) didn't want to wear them, had called ET a harlot and blamed her for breaking up the family. When asked to clarify further, the Sister said it was children as well as adults, some of whom worked at the school. She further said the other siblings had been bullied at the school about it as well. But there was no mention as to who in particular refused to support the family, other than to say there is a group who is "protesting" the abduction investigation and "backing" TC. If someone has posted what you reference, than it is horrid and you should report it to a mod. I've not seen it, but they may have been there and since been deleted.

It's not uncommon. The NYT said ET's parents dropped ET off at Shoney's that morning, and mistook it for her place of employment. That's why it's great to have her sister here to confirm things as well that are in the press. They don't fact check like they used to.

Just my own thoughts, I know there has been some focus on the fact that she had a bathing suit with her so maybe they were at the beach or somewhere warm.

My own two cents, he told her whatever she wanted to hear. He might have told her to being a bathing suit to make her think they were going to a beach. There is no proof that they are anywhere near a beach.

It is so scary to me that she could be anywhere and there are just 0 credible leads that we know of.
