Sorry if I pizzzzzzzzzz someone off but who in the hell would let these "boys" babysit a tiny 23 month old girl??????

James Prindle is the older brother of the little girl. He watched his sister and younger brother after he got home from school while his mom was at work.

The other boys were just bad news thugs that lived in the complex and were friends of his.

In this case, I think it is the mom/parents that need treatment. All of the charges these young boys have faced show negligent parenting and lack of concern for their welfare. The boys appear to be acting out their frustration over lack of attention, lack of structure and boundaries and perhaps an emotionally distant parent. In my opinion, of course.

And in no way does this excuse their behavior - they are old enough to know what evil is and to chose NOT to do evil.

I haven't had a chance to read all the news articles and such, but from what I have read makes me scared for that baby to go back home. What would have happened had she (the mother) have been the one to find this happening? Would this have been swept under the rug by her causing that baby's death? I am correct that the mother wasn't who called the police, right? Who called the police?

The mother was at work. James Prindle is her son and he was watching the sister and his 4 yo brother.

The Scheulin brothers were friends of James and lived in the same complex.

A neighbor called the police when James asked him to.

I blame the parents for this mess. A situation that spiraled out of control quickly, imo. I think most people have no clue about the multitude of crimes--and criminals--that are a direct result from unsupervised teens gathering to "hang out." It is a disaster waiting to happen.

Any parent who thinks their teenager is going to obey the rule not to have friends over when the parents are not there is just playing dumb. The grandmother came....and then left. I'm betting the prison will provide more structure, education, counseling and good meals than the defendant ever had at home.
