Semantics, but usually if it’s voice to text it says “sent with Siri,” if it was an iPhone. IIRC it looked like an iPhone message exchange but I don’t remember for sure, so I could be wrong.

Which is likely why Riley had only 1 drink at Luke Bryan's and pregamed before.
Actually, Riley did indeed try to purchase another drink but was refused so he had to purchase water instead.

It does help.

So, he could have potentially had any kind of drink for the one drink.

The menu shows several food items as well. So, a person could have a snack or even a meal there.
I ETA'd the restaurant menu too.

I still am waiting on a good reason for him to have been kicked out of the bar…. According to family friend, he was trying to help someone and it became a misunderstanding. How can that be a reason to kick someone out? I
The source of that information is ultimately from his Fraternity Brothers who not only declined to escort him back to his hotel, but also told a false tale that though they desperately wanted to leave with RS (yeah-right), psychotic bar employees insisted they pay their tabs first- all in an age when tabs are secured in advance with a credit card and auto charged.

In short, there might be a truthfulness issue.

Then factor in that it might also depend on how he was uhmmm...... "trying to help".

I am thinking that experienced bar employees the world over can all relate that drunks- even "nice guys" who are "trying to help" are not really that helpful.

Not trying to convince anyone, but this article that was quoted in Thread 1 really make me think & look for more photos.

"The area where Strain was last seen was in a brushy area with cliffs that would make it nearly impossible for the missing student to have fallen into the river, Loney said..."

The drone footage and photos that have come out since this article leave me feeling as though Loney as ZERO credibility. I can’t imagine why this person would say it’d be nearly impossible to fall into the water. Is she talking about the same water we are?

News 2 rode with search crews from the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) on a search and rescue boat along the Cumberland River.

Search crews with TWRA and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office told News 2 that the search looks a little different than Wednesday’s. There are more boats in the water and resources in the air.

“It’s actually normal,” Lt. Shannon Heflin, Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office said. “I mean, of course the river flows down from Nashville to here and there’s been a lot of current, so it is possible that he has washed down this far and in the past that has happened.”

Using an app called CalTopo, search crews, including the Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency, Ashland City Fire Department, and Metro Organization of Emergency Management, comb through the river using a grid system near Gower Island and Rivergate Bluff.

Authorities say it is much like mowing a lawn with boat crews going back and forth.

I looked up swimming in the Cumberland (on purpose). It has a strong current. There's a "swim the Cumberland" event, but I am not sure where they enter the water.

People mostly advised against it. Again, these are people who purposely were swimming in it under whatever favorable conditions and probably not entering the water downtown.

I would link, but I got this from several sources.

Ok, so was the shirt just a false rumour that has now been proven to be untrue? Is there a list of only facts confirmed by LE somewhere in this thread?? It's hard to come up with good theories when there are so many rumors..
I'm totally confused myself. Somehow we've gone from a homeless person was spotted wearing a similar shirt that may be Riley's, to it was Riley's shirt, to it was Riley's shirt and it was covered in vomit, to police don't care about the shirt, to the police are covering it up.

This is just me, but I think when Riley is found, the shirt will be found.

Just because he is so tall. The size would not be a common one.

Jmo moo

He talked to his mom from around 7:30-8pm.
According to his stepdad, the group was at their 2nd bar at that point. The stepdad said RS didn't sound drunk. Then they apparently went to bar #3. RS had one drink & 2 waters and was booted from that bar by 9:30. So I don't know that he looked drunk at that bar, but he'd had more than one drink by then. Plus whatever they had at the hotel before going out.
MOO

I find the bit about FaceTiming his mum between 7:30-8 slightly strange - was he not having a good night? Needed somebody to talk to? Or was this just something he did

I’m thinking back to my university days I don’t remember anyone on a night out FaceTiming their mum for 30 Minutes on a good night out. I could see his frat ‘brothers’ taking the mick if he was on the phone to his mum on a night out.

I guess he and his mom were really close, and it sounds like this is just something that he did. If he was teased for it, it doesn't sound like he cared. I know that's not something I ever would have done, as my parents would have been horrified. "Hey mom, watch this!"

The Delta Chi group was on its annual spring trip, with the organisation saying on Monday that it was actively involved with university officials as part of the search.

I've been wanting the same thing re: facts but unfortunately there is just a lot of misinformation. I think mostly because nothing is consolidated and we are getting reports from the family on mostly facebook, sporadic reports from searchers on X, and very little from the police (which could be strategic who knows). As far as I understand it, the shirt is based on a very early eyewitness report from a woman who noticed a very clean collar of a shirt on an unhoused person while she was bringing food to the the encampment down there. There is not evidence for or against this report, but unfortunately, the woman could not produce any photos or videos to back up her claims.
Three days ago, Chris Dingman, the family point person posted this on the Riley FB page. He states that no clothing had been recovered as of then.

So I’m assuming that with this talk, his parents have stopped talking about his still graduating in May. So sad for them.

Are there any photos of the bridges in the area? How high is the barrier? At 6'6" he wouldn't have to lean over far to lever over the side. I have two friends who are 6'7" and they are both incredibly afraid of heights and leaning over things because it feels very easy to tip, I guess. I'm 5'2" and don't experience that because most barriers on bridges and railings are at my chest.
From my Nashville experience memory, we couldn't can't enter bridges right at the river (like along Gay St). We've crossed the Korean Memorial Bridge and the pedestrian bridge. Those bridges were high up above the river to allow for river traffic. We had to enter the KM bridge a block or two "inland" from the river. I think the pedestrian bridge also had stairs closer to the river so you wouldn't go so far inland to access the bridge. My point is, RS probably couldn't access a bridge directly off Gay Street.
