I'm totally confused myself. Somehow we've gone from a homeless person was spotted wearing a similar shirt that may be Riley's, to it was Riley's shirt, to it was Riley's shirt and it was covered in vomit, to police don't care about the shirt, to the police are covering it up.

#ShirtGate
The woman who saw the shirt said that she hasnt been able to even report it to LE because they don’t answer the tip line. We don’t even know that LE is aware of any shirts to cover up.

I guess he and his mom were really close, and it sounds like this is just something that he did. If he was teased for it, it doesn't sound like he cared. I know that's not something I ever would have done, as my parents would have been horrified. "Hey mom, watch this!"
Been there...done that. But was almost always available to drive him to the ER.

The drone footage and photos that have come out since this article leave me feeling as though Loney as ZERO credibility. I can’t imagine why this person would say it’d be nearly impossible to fall into the water. Is she talking about the same water we are?
In her defense, around the homeless camp where the debit card was found was brushier and more treed. She might not have realized how far north he got when she said that.

From my Nashville experience memory, we couldn't can't enter bridges right at the river (like along Gay St). We've crossed the Korean Memorial Bridge and the pedestrian bridge. Those bridges were high up above the river to allow for river traffic. We had to enter the KM bridge a block or two "inland" from the river. I think the pedestrian bridge also had stairs closer to the river so you wouldn't go so far inland to access the bridge. My point is, RS probably couldn't access a bridge directly off Gay Street.
If you're on the Gay St Connector, which runs underneath both bridges, there's underpass stairwells up to both. The Woodland St bridge stairs are definitely easier to access. The JRP Bridge stairs are a little more convoluted.

The KM bridge doesn't have that kind of street access from underneath it.

I find the bit about FaceTiming his mum between 7:30-8 slightly strange - was he not having a good night? Needed somebody to talk to? Or was this just something he did

I’m thinking back to my university days I don’t remember anyone on a night out FaceTiming their mum for 30 Minutes on a good night out. I could see his frat ‘brothers’ taking the mick if he was on the phone to his mum on a night out.
'Baby-adults' these days are just built different.

maybe it was not actually 30 mins but just some time between 7:30 and 8?

If it's so easy to fall in the river, it didn't used to be. Particularly from downtown where this is. It's hard for me to imagine.

Of course, there didn't used to be a homeless encampment on the riverbank.

It is so hard for me to picture (despite me seeing endless pics and watching countless videos) anyone living on the river bank given its steep slope! All it would take is one wrong step, especially after a heavy rain.

Respectfully, did you imagine it in the darkness, being lost and drunk? Have you actually walked/climbed around right next to the river in that area at night? I don't understand what a post is implying when someone says they don't think he could have accidentally gotten into the river. Do you think he was kidnapped?

Ok, so was the shirt just a false rumour that has now been proven to be untrue? Is there a list of only facts confirmed by LE somewhere in this thread?? It's hard to come up with good theories when there are so many rumors..

Riley was asked to leave the bar for conduct reasons and was escorted out of their door.

Riley left on foot- walking, stumbling and falling at least 1 known time, all captured on video.

Riley disappeared from the area next to the bridge where his phone last pinged and where his credit card was later found, on the banks of the Cumberland River. Again, on video.

LE has multiple points of this video evidence throughout his route. Nobody was following him. Nobody was chasing him. He spoke to a police officer mere minutes before he vanished down the river bank.

Those are the facts we know.

Not too many therories left to choose from once you accept the facts. MOO

My wife and I commented one time that the river could be such a great attraction for Nashville if they would just clean it up. With the city growing so much maybe that will happen. There seem to be a lot of growing pains happening in the Nashville area.
