It was not a mother daughter kind of thing. Grandmother was there too.
The grandmother had a Dr Appointment. Candus drove her mother and took Summer. Candus and Summer ended up at Hunter’s house while Candus “visited” with her friend. The idea came to go swimming. Hunter was invited. They all picked up Grandma and then went swimming. At some point some shopping was done.

This was never a mother daughter thing.

Iirc, there was a little used door leading outside from that little room under the house. (The room accessed from a steep stairway under a counter area.) I think when that door was discussed, it was postulated that Summer perhaps went out through that door. That morphed into maybe she went down the driveway to the road, and that morphed into "she was seen on the road". Like telephone game.
I often think of her too.

So Summer just happened to be wearing her swimsuit? Under her clothes? Or she went in in her undies? There was no plan to go swimming initially? The young boys were just left at home alone and not included in the impromptu swimming? So very many questions but if it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't, then it didn't happen like that. Bless that poor baby's soul.

It makes perfect sense that the boys were left home alone - the poor supervision may likely have been a factor in removing the boys. It seems there is a tendency here to assume that the adults either made heathy, good parenting decisions or else they are lying. But there’s a third option: they consistently made poor decisions.

I believe she was wearing her swimsuit. IIRC, she was wearing a “track suit/jogging outfit” type deal.

In the video of her in the backseat, she was wearing a track suit.

I agree. We grew up in a small village in South Louisiana without much adult supervision but with tons of older siblings providing a watchful eye. Most kids ran around barefoot, rode bikes, picked blackberries, rolled down the banks, and swam in the bayou without supervision. The only rule was to be in before dark.
I can not see that Summer’s mom watched over her in a rural setting.
That's exactly how my childhood was. We just knew to be home for dinner.

Exactly. This is what I have been saying ever since the boys were removed. Don and Candus were NOT good parents, their children were very clearly neglected and raised themselves. When I first started following this case I thought that maybe this was just poverty but no, there are many, many, many famlies that live in poverty and raise their children with care. In my opinion, the Wells children were just left to their own devices, with parents that were always fighting and under the influence, in a house that was not safe in any way. That's why Summer is missing, she was terribly neglected. And don't get me wrong, any child can go missing in a matter of seconds but in this instance, it was only a matter of time for something to go wrong with one of the kids.

Agreed, this situation is way different IMO than how many of us here grew up, being outside all day playing.

I have been re-watching the interview with CM and Hunter his Mother, and his Grandmother. The way H is doing that constant yawning leaves me thinking he's not telling the whole truth. JMO. I think there could be much to learn if a fresh pair of ears/eyes went back over this interview.

I've wondered if Summer left the basement to swing, maybe she fell or hit her head on the tree causing her de*th.
With CPS involved, CW and DW may have covered it up so they wouldn't lose the boys.
Imo. Summer could be buried near CWs favorite fishing spot. Wherever that is.
I'm new to Summer's case, my apologies if this has already been discussed.

Summer we are still thinking of you!

I am of the current theory that Summer was left to sleep in the car while her guardians were nodding off in the trailer, and that they were too late to get her out and get help in time.
(I used to negate this theory due to no cadaverine detected but they could have found her just before that chemical process had begun)
I think drugs were involved, making a cover-up their only hope to stay out of prison/keep their family together.

I believe the day was exacerbated by a sticky seatbelt that little Summer couldn't release herself.

It always struck me, in CW's account of the day, her specificity -- helped Summer with her seatbelt and she popped right up.

And what's that rule-- let sleeping babies lie (just not in hot cars)? Warm day at the lake, warm car, too warm zip up outfit.... if she left Summer in the car because she was sound asleep... carried in the groceries... helped Grandma carry hers in, help adjust her knee brace, lose track of time...

Truth: CW unbuckled the seatbelt.

Summer didn't pop up.

is exactly what I think happened. I just want to know what they did with her body. I think there is significance to how often they say she was take far, far away. Maybe a friend, maybe a Cornbread Mafia friend helped take her and drive her far, far away. It would be natural for two people with past jail times and current CPS problems to want to hide the accident, neglect. I think they reported her missing and never expected the interest that occurred. Just a theory but considering the large number hot car deaths that happen every year. It would not be out of the ordinary.

Back in the day in the 70’s when kids still ran around it was nothing for them to be disciplined by other adults in town or neighbors who would then tell their parents who would discipline them when they got home. Everyone was looking out for each other. But this isn’t that kind of situation.
I grew up in a very rural area I ran around barefoot, riding my bike but my mama was always around. I did have to stay out of the woods till a certain age. For much of my very young life my big brother was around to help look after me. But mama was there checking out the windows. As I got older I would go hiking with my .22 rifle just to get out of the house and tell mama I was going to the second creek. She knew where that was. I just wanted quiet after a long day at school. I loved the sound of that beautiful creek. It seemed so much bigger back then next to the last time I saw it. Only I think I may have been at the first creek. Dummies logged it and now my landmark tress are gone.
I’m leaning towards hot car unalive as being the cause. They knew disreputable people so I’m thinking it wouldn’t be hard to find someone who’d help out, if you know what I mean. Maybe that’s why CW broke down when Dr.Phil brought up the Cornbread Mafia. That one was new to me. In Georgia it’s the Dixie Mafia only they don’t call themselves that I don’t think. It’s more a name that LE and others use. They sell every vice known to man. It’s really scary.
