Nothing new has been announced as far as I know. We know of one trial in November but not sure if that will cover everything at once.

When Black did a phoner on Fox last week, he said he is the father of three girls. I wonder how he sleeps at night, having to put up a patently ludicrous defense of the indefensible.

One of the guest lawyer commentators on TruTV earlier today said that when you’re getting beaten down by the media, if you have no defense it’s better to just lay low. This strategy is evidently one that Baez & Co. have not yet learned.

No...the statement was not taken out of context. His entire tirade was there as it was on air and those are his exact words at 0.53. "This is a very serious case involving not just the loss of the life of this little girl, but the loss of whatever is going to happen with Casey Anthony..." Todd B.

The fact that a spokesperson for HER attorney said that is not a funny or great thing, It could very well leave the door open for an appeal.

I'm not so sure! Because he is only a spokesman and this did not occur in the context of actual court proceedings, I believe it would not constitute ineffective assistance of counsel as a basis for an appeal. Also, it does appear that casey will have to have another attorney to, at the least, help defend the case at trial. So, a statement by a spokesperson for only one of the attorneys is highly unlikely to rise to the level of appealable conduct, in my opinion. Usually, such conduct includes things like sleeping during trial, failing to offer exculpatory evidence, etc.

One of the news stations earlier today - I don't remember which one - said that right now the Nov 17 trial date was still in effect. But that it could easily change, and they would be surprised if it didn't.

The OJ case was a wake up call for a lot of LE agencies and Crime Scene Units. After that debacle, changes came fast and furious as to how cases, not just high profile cases, were handled. More training for all LE, better chain of custody rules for crime scene evidence - and on and on. I doubt ANY LE Agency today would leave so many areas open to attack as happened back then. If nothing else, the OJ case led to more convictions down the road because of the improved handling of all aspects of a case.

I have complete confidence that the men and women of OCSO handled this case just right.

I do not mean to cast doubt on the OCSO and their work in this case in any shape form or fashion.... let me make that perfectly clear. I think they have done an OUTSTANDING job, and did so even before they had any idea it was to become the high profile media case it has.

I am just jaded. I was applying past actions, practices, and methods to this case. Just making a point that they, as in the Defense, won't have a defense, so they will attack the evidence.

But I didn't mean to imply that the evidence warranted attacking; nope, no way, not today. Sorry if I came off that way.
