Hello, and Happy New Year websleuthers,

I have been researching the doe network when I came upon a serial killer named Robert Schulman, who confessed to killing five women, all prostitutes. He would dismmember his victims and put the in rubbermade containers with pillow cases or sheets. One of his victims hasn't been identified yet. Also I'd like to ad his brother was thought to be of intrest to the police but was never charged. I will post a map of where his dump sites where and see if you see a connection. It is a long shot but I'm hoping I'm not nuts and this girl can be identified.http://murderpedia.org/male.S/s/shulman-robert-yale.htm

Does this seem similar to the peaches case? Even the sheets.

Happy New Year. His brother certainly is a POI for many people in this case. Someone needs to nail down when he served those 2 years he was sentenced to though.

Barry Schulman was arrested on April 6,1996 at the same time as Robert Schulman. He was tried in December 1999 and sentenced 2 years in county jail. Some experts said he could be out in 10 months. Therefore he would have been released between November 2000 or December 2002. There is no public record that I could actually find of his exact release date. His biggest crime was helping his brother dispose of 3 bodies and not going to the Police, or going to his older brother and telling him. Just for the record there were 4 brothers, one died of a drug over dose. The older brother seems to live a normal life.

Hello! I'm pretty new to the WS and was wondering if anyone can point me to the original post of the Wamsutta fabric pictures. I'm trying to see how the cool find by coffeeandacig originated! Thanks for any help!

Also, BS was released on bail on April 26, 1996.

Did he serve them through the federal system? Cause New York Offender Search does not show that his brother was ever in the system.

Hi Karmen, maybe the easiest thing is to go to the main WS home page and Tricia had it linked directly there. Otherwise, go take a look at Coffee's profile and you can find their posts there, possibly pics too, if you don't want to browse the thread. I think they're a little more than halfway through, no matter how many posts you have your settings set to display.

Ok,
I talked to my ex-husband today (that's always fun) and he verified that we got those sheet sets along with the bed at Montgomery Ward. They are now simply known as "Wards" and are purely an online retailer with no physical locations.
There was a Montgomery Ward in the Riverside Mall on LI.
I'm sorry if I'm not being helpful. This is the only tidbit I know anything about.

I'm having trouble navigating WS on my phone... I don't know if this has been posted... I tried to go through and find parts #1 and #2 to this thread but like I said, I haven't been able to navigate very well via phone. I find it strange that when they asked her to repeat her name, she had to look for guidance and he repeated the name for her.

She could be using stage name, which would not be surprising under all the given circumstances. If you notice she does look for guidance from guy next to her throughout whole interview and it seems just for reassurance what she can or can't talk about probably for legal reasons. It was a bit of pain to watch it all and not because of the girl, she was quite good and seems genuine.

Anywho, I think this should be under J. Burke thread or P.Hackett, if he has one.

from my experience there is deer hunting a plenty on LI and now turkey as well.

When I think hunter/hunting I automatically use Upstate. I worked on the border in Mahwah and there's also bear hunting too......:scared:

I don't think he did prison time this is why..

Mr. Shulman's brother, Barry Shulman, 40, who pleaded guilty in Suffolk County Court last month to helping dispose of the bodies on Long Island, is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 21 to up to two years in prison. He faces similar charges in Westchester, but is not expected to be sentenced to any further time because of his brother's guilty plea yesterday.

I read that as Westchester will not add any additional sentence on the Suffolk sentence. Finding out the exact dates of his incarceration is key to ruling him in or out.

She is a good fit in terms of basic physical info and circumstances but she's listed as going missing in September 1997 and Peaches torso was found June 28, 1997 http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/151ufny.html

Also it doesn't report the daughter as missing, just that she had a daughter. That said, it strikes me odd that she was seen "sometime" during September 97, could it be that the person who said they saw her could have been mistaken? The "sometime" bit bothers me.

Part of your statement could be true, but the design may be patented. I have a friend here in NYC that is a tie designer, she creates designs and patterns at once on paper now on computers, that are eventually put on ties. She has records of all her designs.
If this was the case wouldn't this be easily found by now? If we found patented we could find where it was supplied to in the area and have some really good info. Unless the info isn't databased into computers from back then. We are then in the same figurative boat sadly. Maybe they file by type and not number.
