I'm watching HLN, which I'm not really used to doing. It's confusing me a bit. Seems like the talking heads keep saying that Samuels was her therapist. He really wasn't, was he? He was hired to psych eval her so that he could testify on her behalf—from the get go—right?

Right, he was her evaluator, not her therapist.

Janine Driver is on and said Juan is getting underneath Samuels skin. She also says Samuels is feeling threatened by the way he postures himself. Dr Drew says Samuel s has made a big mistake by believing the defendant.

Dr Drew is also going to play the tape where Arias seems to be swiping a notebook.

Hi molly ! Yes you are correct he evaluated her only, he said several times he never treated her (although some of his actions are at odds with this claim...) but yeah those THs blow a lot of hot air! I think they read a Yahoo article about the trial and report on that...

Someone earlier, I think AZ Watcher, posted that if you look at the area by the cups in that video, you can see the binding of the folder being slid on the table. (I looked). It never leaves the table.

Not a lawyer, but I'm betting it's highly unlikely you'd win an ineffective council claim based on the testimony of an expert witness-especially your own.:moo:

Just cause your strategy didn't work and the testimony wasnt as favorable as you anticipated doesn't entitle a defendant to another bite at the apple. A defendant is entitled to due process and a fair trial. Not a guarantee that every risk she takes, in terms of trial strategy, will work to her benefit. Too bad for JA!

I literally want to slap her in the face. For taking Travis' life, for forcing his friends and family to live this grief and pain, for wasting massive amounts of tax payer's money, for making everyone go through this horrid trial. Alllllll becuase the BRAT didn't get what she wanted. :furious:

I would also like to have a "discussion" with her mother. For helping her daughter do all of this and continue to help her. YES I believe the .25 ammo sans gun found at the mother's house says a lot! I DO feel the visit to Jodi before she left on another road trip with a new rental car, new gun and books full of knives says a lot. I do believe her running to a newspaper trying to get pedophile letters published even after they are proven to be fake is disgusting. I can't stand her for involving the victim's family by making a complaint against them for supposedly speaking to the jury. That woman should NOT be allowed in court.

I am sick of of them all. Including her Aunt, Donovan(The tattletale bouncer), Bryan Carr, past High School friends and the rest of the giggling circus act on Jodi's side of the gallery. They are all rats who should no longer be allowed to attend. Leave the seats for those who really do care about this case and why this is all happening. Remove themselves so the family doesn't have to look at them and can express their feelings with their faces anyway they wish.


Whew.... I think it's time for an appointment with my own mental health specialist.

The one who properly diagnosed me with PTSD after I was in a serious auto wreck that shattered my body, entrapped my mother who could not breath and flipped our lives upside down for the last decade. I was alert and aware through every second of it. Unfortunately the spoiled kid who cared for no one but himself bashed his head and got a nice nap. No PTSD for him. Just his parents bailing him out of trouble again while he smiled and laughed in court.

I guess my tolerance for people like Jodi and their family is very low.

IMO. It was a very fair assessment. A lot of people share the same resentments towards some of JA family member behaviors in and outside of the courtroom. I also agree that there is much more to the story about both guns.
