Imo, a dog would not run away from a good loving home, just because of one kick. :waitasec: Something more than that happened, imo.

ITA! What did she do to that dog???? I am sure there is more to the story than what she is telling.

I don't know ALV enough to say whether she's "likeable" or not, but I have a hard time "liking" anyone who testifies on JA's behalf. There is zero evidence, anywhere that Travis abused her, yet she's going to draw conclusions to that without said evidence. I have a problem with that. I also have a problem with the fact that, in the middle of all this, what happened to Travis has gotten lost and Travis himself has gotten lost. This is why I get irritated when someone makes comments about Juan being too aggressive. He's the voice for the victim in that courtroom. Lord knows no one else can speak for him, or I should say, no one else is allowed to speak for him, i.e. supporters being asked to remove their ribbons. Most everyone else paints him as an abusive, sex crazed maniac who treated poor little Jodi like trash. So if Juan has to go a little over the top, then so be it. I'm sure if Travis were there, he would be his biggest cheerleader. I am so over it....

Hope JM questions Dr. LV about the alleged 'pedophile pamphlet' that JA presented to Travis. If there was any DV whatsoever on Travis's part, wouldn't JA have also given him a pamphlet on DV? She testified that the reason she didn't leave Travis when she found out about the fake pedo pictures was that she felt there was 'hope' for him. He wanted to change! Wouldn't this also apply to the alleged DV?

The entire DV is such a farce! Dr. LV already 'testified' this afternoon that 80% of abused women return to their abuser . Do most of these 'abused' women drive 1000 miles through the desert in the middle of the night to return to the abuser??? I suppose if you are a hard-core masochist you might do just that.

I hope Juan asks Dr. LV why Jodi didn't call the 'abuse' Hot Line in Mesa....or find a shelter. Lord knows she never had a place to stay half the time. An 'abused women's' shelter might have been a nice little refuge for her, lol!

This ain't gonna be pretty!

I agree. Not to be crude or gross, but I wouldn't be surprised if she killed the poor dog. Seems like something she is capable of. :twocents:

Whether anyone here likes her or not, she is being paid by team Jodi and she is going to trash Travis and bash men. People wo are that one dimensional get zero respect from me and the male jurors will hate that too.

Yes, both sides pay their professional witnesses. But it just so happens that this time we have a killer who confessed to the crime of stabbing a man 29 times, shooting him in the head nd slicing his throat. This one is easy. She is being paid by the WRONG side.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she has agreed to testify as an expert witness for free...She seemed to be suggesting the possibility...

:coffeenews:

Jodi kicked a dog??? That might be useful to show her propensity to violence.

Yep. Dog wasn't tied up for once and he ripped up the little brother/sister baby diapers and Jodi had to clean it up. Kicked the dog. Never saw the dog again. Wants to apologize to the dog. Det. Flores brings up ... you never apologized to Travis. Etc.

Whoa. Is anybody watching Nancy Grace right now? She's showing a part of JA's interview with the detective that I've never seen before where she's relating an "anger" incident with a dog the Arias' once had. She says the dog was tied up in the back yard with lots of "leeway"' on the leash and got in her way when she was taking out a trash bag of her younger brother or sister's dirty diapers and she was angry at having to clean up the scattered mess. She said that she "kicked the dog - not hard or anything - he didn't yelp" and then she relates that she never saw the dog again without explaining what happened to him. Wasn't someone wondering aloud last week if she had a history of killing animals? I mean, really. Assuming that she didn't leave her parents home forever that night and assuming her parents didn't take the dog to the pound that night for having ripped open a bag of trash - how is it that she "never saw" that dog again?

Whoa.. that poor dog :( they say that you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals! And that many murderers start out by hurting animals

I need to hug my dog, dogs are so incredibly kind and unconditionally loving, only a sociopath could hurt one

Justice for Travis, and every person or animal this monster has harmed

It's not worth it.....How do you think today went?

Your right! I think the jury will dismiss everything the Dr. said. Juan has shown him for the sham he is. This next witness has me worried.

Eta; to clarify not worried in a she will get off sense, but a lesser charge. I have to keep remembering what katiecoolady keeps saying.

I am steeled to hear whatever ALV has to say or imply or impugn about TA without judging her (too very much). And I hope and trust that Travis's family members are steeled for this next onslaught as well.

But I sincerely hope that JM can present an expert to discuss with the jury exactly what happens when a good and trusting and exceptionally naive male is deceived and abused (psychologically, emotionally, physically) by a female who is not suffering from PTSD, not suffering from an amnesiac fog, who is in fact not suffering at all--but who needs and requires full control and domination of any male unfortunate enough to partner with her.

:cow:
Exactly! And hopefully Juan Martinez will be able to get those points out of this witness before he is through with her.

MOO

Now that is a horse of a different color. How can she determine that based on what Jodi has said? Obviously ALV has worked with men who batter and knows they lie. She has to know that sometimes it is very difficult to tell who the person is who is the abusive one unless there are physical injuries because men don't usually report it. I don't think Jodi physically abused Travis until she killed him. And by the way who is dead, three times over. Emotionally I believe Jodi worn him down and he was emotionally abused which is reflected in his text to her about "never been hurt this bad before in my life". Is it possible that ALV will open that door for the State as it appears Samuels has done?

jmo

Jodi already used ALV as her 'back up' that she had told someone about TA looking at dirty lil boy pictures/ So imo, the killer is expecting this expert to back up that story.

And as for the professional opinion that TA was an abusive BF, she is going to rely upon the texts and emails to do so, imo. If you take it out of context it is easy to make a case for that.

The only reason ALV is on the stand is to paint TA as an abusive partner that forced the killer to slaughter him.

Imo, a dog would not run away from a good loving home, just because of one kick. :waitasec: Something more than that happened, imo.

The dog was always, always tied up except for that one day ... according to Jodi when she kicked the dog.

Oooo, Beth just brought up and excellent point. Even if there is abuse, it was all emotional or verbal. No justification for physical SD

The FB group has been contacted by Dr. Drew and will be on his show via Skype, date to be determined!

It would also fit with psychopathy (cruelty to animals).

I almost bought a strawberry Frapuccino this morning for the first time *ever* but then I thought that was a bit OTT because I don't like coffee or take dairy!

LOL!!! I've still got a gift card to use so I'll try one for ya and report back!! (I love that you thought about it tho!! That's awesome!!)

Okay...just when I think it can't get any worse, I see more video from the initial interrogation with Det. Flores. Are you flipping kidding me about the dog? She kicked it and then NEVER SAW IT AGAIN?!?!? Disposed of that dog creature too! Makes me think of The Wizard of Oz. Thank the Universe for the sane, rational response from the most patient detective I've ever seen. I lloved what Flores said to her about needing to apologize to Travis... Seriously, a flipping dog, but not Travis?...riiiiight. Mmmkay.

I think JW is sinking the case with her Gidget demeanor and constant smiling. This is a serious crime. Hey, I am not opposed to it, because I think it sends the wrong message to the jury. She is busy trying to "out-nice" JM. It isn't a smart strategy AT ALL. IMO

This video by our very own David Lohr contains the very few ;truths' that ever popped out of this liars mouth.

Her voice, when she is in recollection, for me registers the only true emotion I have heard from her. You can hear genuine breaks in her voice.
Of course, the liar intertwines made up stories with the truth - and you can hear her voice become strong when she is making the story up throughout this tape.
She hesitates or tries to stall Flores before she delivers a lie as well.

Here's the video/

So she abused a dog, and abused a cat. What a rotten excuse for a human.

I suspect that wasn't the only time she abused that dog. She kicked her mom, she kicked the dog. Hopefully the justice dept will now kick her....

And the dog was tied up?

Did anybody check her shower? Just kidding. It is HIGHLY indicative of an abuser to mistreat animals.

Fun trivia fact: the first ever case to protect an abused child was brought by the ASPCA. There were no laws against maltreatment of children, but they were able to come to court by arguing that the child was being treated as an animal and therefore deserved the same protections.

Oh, that's simple to explain. She had her first experience with a traumatic killing and subsequent fognesia.
