I saw someone hand a card to Juror #5 when she was talking to Valerie at the end of court the day she went as a spectator.

I believe the original poster stated ALV gave a card to Samantha. This was what I was responding to. I had never heard of ALV giving Samantha a card. I heard ALV said something to Samantha just before break, the break ALV HAD to call, right before the regular break was coming up.

I don't see the "leap" in that at all. Jodi was not a contract killer or a hired gun. She had an emotional attachment to Travis and this may have resulted in second thoughts or cold feet at some point during the encounter.

Psychopaths don't form 'emotional attachments' as defined by you, I, or most of humanity.

They tend to view people like you, me, and most of humanity as no more significant than particularly useful gnats. They suck their victims dry, drop them, and move onto a new one. There are some particularly insightful, though highly disturbing, psychopathic accounts available all over the internet describing how they see people.

However, in the midst of a narcissistic rage - as I've described - there is no rational thought. There is only repetitive beating, smashing, pounding, screaming, etc. My ex, while in one, had broken his wrist, was bleeding profusely, and still didn't stop until the physical object he'd been beating on was absolutely and thoroughly decimated beyond even recognition.

And, as I've also stated, the only thing that makes them decide on an object as opposed to a person, in my belief, is just how quickly that person can move out of the way.

Ugh I was looking through trial pictures on Wild About Trial's website and came up on one of JA with blonde hair looking sort of down at the camera. It gave me chills. I can't explain it but I could just feel evil coming from the picture. Upon first look somebody would say it's a good pic of a pretty girl, but look harder and knowing the back story it creeps me out.

Do I take her word for it just because she said so? No. Do I believe they were in his office, at the time of day she said they were, and something important happened there? Actually, yes, I do.

It's in. The defense decided to argue that she didn't bring the gun, so they had her go for "Travis' gun" in the closet, after she was attacked. That's their argument. Too bad for them that Juan noticed the shelves only rest on pins and that over 40 lbs breaks them. It's all the defense's fault, actually.

Did you notice how many times Juan asked Jodi about jumping onto those shelves to get the gun? He asked over and over and over--the defense didn't even have a clue what he was doing. IMOO

The motions for mistrial are laughable and it is sad that the court has to entertain these daily. It sucks time away from the court and all parties involved. I realize that jail is boring for JA and these delays are keeping her occupied but enough is enough.

It takes a lot more than "throwing a pen" or giving somebody the stink eye to cause a mistrial. This isn't anybody's first rodeo and Juan isn't going to do anything to cause anything near a mistrial or get himself into a "prosecutorial misconduct" situation. This also isn't Nurmi or Willmott's first trial and they need to act accordingly and stop with the childish antics. They are embarrassing. I doubt there is anybody left that respects them.

They want all these motions a matter of record. They are trying to manipulate the judge and JM style.:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I am not an ex-investigator/LE, and when I see two naked people, in a bedroom, on a bed, with KY jelly, and one of those naked people is taking close-up pornographic pictures of the other, I "leap" to the conclusion that they were having sex of one kind or another. No "twisting" required!

Well, then it is a good thing you are not ex LE. I say this because there is no proof that Travis took the photos of Jodi. And, in fact, there is a huge number of people who think that Jodi took them of herself to try to make it look like they were having sex. <modsnip>. There is no proof.

Yes she lies, but her stories have bits of truth in them. I believe she is telling the truth about a fight downstairs, not the reasons for the fight, just that a fight occurred. It could have had something to do with Cancun and Mimi. And she was re-triggered.

I don't think they spent much time downstairs. She didn't want to chance them at the table or desk and a roommate coming in and seeing them. I think she ran down and got their food and she just kept him busy so he wouldn't want to go downstairs.

I'm simply stating (and people don't seem to be very open minded about facts) that there is no PROOF that they had sex that day. I don't care if God himself said they did. In simply looking at the photos of that day, there is NO PROOF.

I ask again for anyone to show it to me if there is some. A naked photo of me in one room and a naked photo of my husband a few moments later does NOT prove that we had sex. Period.

BBM: There is a thread for that topic. Maybe we need one for whether they had sex or didn't that day. Of course, we should leave out the pics...those can't be unseen. uke:

I don't understand what the heck ALV is doing in this case. She read a series of text messages from Travis to other young women, and without interviewing either party, she passes JUDGMENT over text messages and then feels free to characterize them as whatever she pleases.

Why is this relevant? Every word that comes out of her mouth is based on what Jodi Arias told her, and what she projected onto a bunch of text messages & emails. ????

How in the world can she "diagnose" domestic violence? I'm not being sarcastic--I'm truly at a loss to figure out why this sort of witness is allowed to translate, explain and project her own personal meanings onto correspondence between people she has never interviewed.

There's a reason six other DV experts refused to take the case - there was no evidence of battered woman's syndrome. IMO, she did a financial assessment of the case based on her $250/300 per hour rate and realized that there was a boatload of 'research' to be done - 82,000 text and email messages, dozens of hours in the jail with JA, and dozens of hours snooping through Travis's journals and electronic records. That, and her marathon time on the witness stand, would fund her retirement. I don't know her age, but I'm assuming she is close to 60-65, and this case would definitely give her financial security in her old age.

I also believe she weighed the pros and cons of testifying for the defendant in one of the most high profile murder trials of recent times, and decided that she would stake her reputation in exchange for the fame/infamy that would surely ensue. She took a gamble and, in my opinion, she lost. She will end up with a big payday, but was it really worth it? I think not.

Let's say that you are laying in bed or on a sofa, naked. It's summer...it's hot...you are tired.

Some ex-stalker from your past goes into another room and takes timed photos of themselves naked, and in sexual positions.

The stalker comes out and flashes a photo of you, unbeknownst to you.

Just from the photos shown, did you just have sex with the ex?

WHAT IF: during the premeditated planning of the murder Jodi printed off a couple of pictures of prior "activities" with Travis from her computer, brought them along with the gun and knife and used Travis's camera and photographed them. It is a definite possibility in my opinion that they may NOT have engaged in sex the day he was murdered by Jodi.

Last weekend I was going through some pictures of my sons earlier years and came upon a really sweet but small picture that I wanted to enlarge. I have a scanner however I wanted to see IF Jodi could have copied the Pics with a camera. I then attempted to copy my son's pic with my camera. The picture was time stamped. I then downloaded it onto my computer and then printed off an adorable 8X10 --->worked perfectly.

I asked about this possibility a while back and I thank you for your test.

I honestly cannot remember where I read this but I was sure that I read there were other pictures on the memory card that Travis had taken when he first got the camera that were prior to that day. Pictures of just himself and maybe other people, his dog? I thought I had read something about pictures of him cycling. Perhaps that's what was referred to as some pictures being deleted and others not being deleted.
