I was thinking the exact same thing. Would have been a perfect set-up. But Juan missed the opportunity. He disappoints me a lot. Not a good day so far.

I'm also really tired of these hypotheticals to which Willmot continuously objects to. FFS, don't mischaracterize testimony. If you believe a witness said something, have a transcript of the testimony with you and THEN question the witness instead of risk slowing down the trial with constant approaches. Juan doesn't have the memory to cross examine the way he does. He needs notes, more importantly TRANSCRIPTS. Otherwise, objections, approaches, objections!

I think at this point if you don't think Juan has had an exceptional day then you are just determined to be negative.

He HAS to talk in hypotheticals otherwise it is hearsay, unless of course he's given an open door when lav gives contradictory info. No he cannot use transcripts either, as far as I know. This jury isn't stupid.they know these aren't just hypotheticals. They were there when freeman and Lisa testified. They the testimony is NOT being mischaracterized. Which is kind of why the judge is telling them to use their judgment and recall previous testimony. Just because laviolette says it isn't true doesn't mean they didn't testify and say what Martinez said they did.

Chelly I have always been on the fence about it....but there are just certain crimes that are so heinous, that they definitely deserve it.

Rosemary, Thank you for saying this. I've been beating myself up for feeling so strongly for death in this case. But, everything here is so premeditated.

She knew when she stole the gun she would kill Travis. She knew when she rented the car she would kill Travis. She knew when she bought the gas cans, when she removed a license plate, when she unpacked her KY, when she photographed Travis nude on the bed, when she put her hair in braids and posed for sex photos, when she took out the camera and convinced Travis to pose in the shower. All this time she knew exactly what she was going to do. She knew she was going to kill Travis.

I completely understand Travis taking JA back after stating he was scared of her and that she was stalking him. My husbands ex-wife was a lot like Jodi while they dated. She would attack him verbally and physically and he would leave, sometimes hide from her but she always found him and as he puts it "I was a dumbazz and let her back in until she went crazy again." This was the cycle for about six months until she got pregnant and then he married her. It didn't even last a year and he filed for divorce after she attacked him while he was sleeping, she grabbed his testicles with her fingernails and caused him to go to the hospital. She almost got him back after that but his mother vowed she wasn't going to let him be stupid again and basically babysat him waving his bloody underwear in his face every time she tried snaking back into his life.
I guess it may seem unbelievable to some that Travis would say she was a stalker and crazy but yet days later engage in sex with her but unfortunately sometimes the scariest people are also the most cunning.

I've also noticed the close-talking and deep eye contact between JA and JW. I'm not one that gets weird about women having a close relationship; I am sensing something different here than just "friendship". At the very least, I think there is a girl-crush going on at the defense table.

It may be that this is a way to keep JA calm and engaged. Remember a few weeks back when JA was stressed out and visibly reacting in court? I think that JA has probably had her medication adjusted and this is "behavioral therapy" added into the mix. The DT may have been getting concerned and got some behavioral person to help them out on this.

Apparently the word or term 'goosing' or 'goose' has a new meaning too. I was joking with my kids about being goosed in the butt and they stopped dead in their tracks, mouths hit the floor. I was referring to being pinched or 'poked' (that's a new thing too...) and apparently goosing in the butt is NOT PINCHING!

Okay, I didn't address this fully when it was commented on up thread as I do not remember the exact details. But, what I do remember is one incident. They were riding around in a car I believe and the Dad made a comment, a comment that seemed rather lame, imo. I wish I could remember. Was it in regards to a young boy she liked? Darn it. But I do remember there was one comment discussed in court.

That was the case, but the only way anyone knows that story is from the huge lips of the liar.
It never happened IMO.
